nice place to stay for a few day”
We really enjoy our stay at halfway lodge , Charlie is the best guide in town ask for him , he know a lot about the cultural and the history of the town and around , we went to hapao and batad rice terrasse with him and we enjoy it !! The room was clean , the staff was really kind and helpful !! The food was good and you can dinner with a nice view of banaue rice terrasse. The only thing that was less good is that there is no electric plugs in the room to charge your phone or camera battery but it's not a big deal because at the office they will charge it for you with pleasure.

great view, friendly staff”
1 TV at the Lobby, no power plugs in the rooms (too much abuse by Backpackers?), closes at 8pm (as all stores), 10pm is curfew. This is the result of the Mayors, who want no noise/troubles in the village. The hotel is almost innocent. Charging is available (free for guests!), the food is affordable and as good as other places that was higher rated! The Ifugaos are a shy folk, but after a small nice talk the are so friendly and helpful. At Halfway Lodge the most journeys/trips start. Charlie, a relative of the family can guide you very well. We paid PHP 1700.

If you're looking for a cheap and just a place to sleep, this is the place. Halfway Lodge is near Banaue rice terraces. Breakfast is okay.

Place renovated as of January 2020 and additional rooms on going construction... You are welcome anytime for a more comfortable stay!!! Thank you
Extremely helpful and friendly staff!”
As said before the staff is extremely helpful in case you have questions about touring the region or your onward journey to sagada or back to manila. Don't go to the tourist office near the bus station, they charge very high prices. Halfway Inn provided us with a cheaper, but very experienced guide who led us on a 2-day trek through cambulo and batad (ask for charlie), truly a great experience! The rooms are very clean, also the bathrooms. The hotel serves food to reasonable prices, but the quality could be improved.

not bad”
it will be the arriving spot when u take the bus from manila, the jeep will bring you here and the trikes will sell you package, basically all the guesthouse in this region are roughly the same, just pick one when you arrive, halfway is reasonable homestay for sleeping, don't expect too much as there's no 5 star in mountain region

Convenient location - shame about the powerpoints”
Good location; the shuttle bus takes you to its door. Good for organising tours and bus tickets. Great if you've treated yourself to the private-bath room, with a fantastic hot shower, but the share bathroom was a big step down in standard. Nice valley views out the back from the restaurant and the terrace. Biggest bugbear: the lack of powerpoints. This is an issue all over Banaue, not just here, so electricity supply must be a premium in this area. But It's a tough call for today's travellers to not have access to powerpoints, and charging 20 pesos to charge up guests' phones or cameras went down like a rat sandwich.

Very happy ”
Nice big, clean room with ensuite, which I hadn't been expecting, I'm not sure if this is standard or we were upgraded. The staff were really nice. WiFi worked well in our room. The location is great, very short walk from the bus and close by restaurants. They have lockers for bag storage if you go to batad (which you should), which they charge 50 pesos per bag. It wasn't a per night charge which was nice as we went to batad for 2 nights.

Very good”
The service staff is excellent. Hot shower a plus. Location ok if you're just in town tired and need to sleep for a night , otherwise quite busy around area. The pillows / blankets smells stale old sweat like it had been used by many. Do not expect much, this is a budget traveler 's hotel.

nice plase but food is pretty bad”
Our stay was overall good. You can enjoy great views from the rooms below dining area. Veranda is also something good to mention. Owners are helpfull. We were warned about guys who try to sell overprices tripps around. Be carefull as these guys are not licences guides and they ask even tripple the standard price. I got the feeling that we were warned because we booked via agoda but the samy guy was walking around every morning. Food is pretty bad and I do not recommend it. One of the worst we had. Overall I would come back but I wouldt eat there.

Clean but very basic”
Mixed feelings , pleasant staff but one night in very basic old fashioned rooms was enough and by Philippine standards costs for these are high. We booked 3 rooms , no hot showers in any , no electric sockets in any room . One of our party had to pay at reception to have a cellphone recharged . Lack of basics expected within the price means any future visits to Banaue we will search online more carefully. Recommendations to friends will carry warnings.

No power ports, extra charges for everything”
Stayed 2 nights. Checkin is from 9am, but that also means checkout is by 9am. There are no power points in your room, so if you want to charge your devices you need to do so from the restaurant. Need to store your bags after you checkout because the bus leaves at 8pm and you must checkout by 9am? Pay the fees. The door is regularly shut before the stupid 9pm curfew in town. There are better and cheaper places. Breakfast is poor and overpriced. Lunch and dinner are OK. I am coming back to Banaue and I most certainly WILL NOT stay here.

Halfway to Almost Everywhere”
In Banaue you really do not have so much choices of hotel to stay. As long as it is clean and quiet, and you could sleep well at night, that would do.

dirty hotel with nice view to rice terraces”
hotel has dirty rooms, bathroom and toilet smells, terrible. But the restaurant offers delicious meals, one of the best I've eaten in Banaue

what a view”
Great place. Great food, especially the breakfast. Good size rooms. Only downfall was no powerpoints in the room. In this day and age everything needs charging. The staff however were only to happy to charge cameras and phone etc.

Nice place to rest”
Rooms were basic yet clean. Working flush toilet and warm shower. Good location. Food choices were pretty narrow. A decent place to rest your body after the treks of the rice terraces. Basic and affordable. Wi-fi just ok.
