    Excellent”

They were in the middle of a renovation of their lobby, yet check-in was easy and luggage was placed in the room without delay. The next day I was looking for some parts for my strobe light to be used for underwater , and my dive master took me on the back of his motorcycle, obtained the necessary parts which were no charge. I would not have had the strong photographic memories without this. The dive experiences were great, crew was knowledgeable, helpful, and very safety conscious.

    Overpriced ”

We stayed at Halo for three nights and enjoyed good weather, two dives and some interesting snorkeling on the house reef right outside the door. The view from the balcony outside the siver rooms is great and also from the restaurant terrace. Peaceful.Pros:- Our room (silver room L) was big enough with two double beds to spread out. The food is good and varied each meal with generous portions, fresh and tasty meals served. It is a set meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can get a cold beer and soft drinks and the prices are around 40-50php. No problem keeping your own wine bottle and cheese platter in the restaurant fridge. WIFI is available on the terrace where you eat and overlook the water. There are plenty of TV channels. Diving can be booked from the resort and the boat leaves right outside with experienced dive master. Cons: At check-in they do not recognise a prior Agoda booking until you supply the print out. Us and another couple experienced the same stressful start but to be fair the problem was resolved. Cash only payments once you are there. The room is basic, no refrigerator and small bathroom (but it is clean) The resort is isolated so once you are there you need a car or hire a tricycle to get back to Mabini (P300 return) or elsewhere on the coast. Steep steps that are poorly designed are involved every where you go as it is on a steep hill side. Staff are at their limit with even simple requests but I guess this is a common theme in this country. Overall - The price does not reflect the experience. .Been there done that and I would not return as this really was just OK - not much better.

    Good diving resort”

This is a diving resort. For divers, the facilities are good enough. But if you are just on vacation, it's a little bit boring. Swimming pool is for diving practice. No sunbath bench . You have to lie on the ground to enjoy sunbathing! The food is good. Staffs are friendly. Remember to the dive trip in advance! They don't have their own dive shop there. So unlike other dive shop. You can join their scheduled dive trip anytime.

Resort not that fancy but Great food and accomodating staff!”

Let me start with the plus points, Great food and great staff. full board came with our reservations.. so if you compare it with Laiya resorts which offer the same, technically we probably paid only half the price for accomodations for 4 adults and 1 child.— so value for money there...Halo also has very accomodatimg staff...... downside, there is no parking.. they are situated close to the road so u park on the shoulder.. Roof’s leaking.. but maybe only in our room.. didnt bother to move because it was the day we would check out.. we had the resort to ourselves.. booked the gold room with 2 queen beds 30 sqm area but it seemed we were given the silver accomodations for 2 double beds.. but on the other hand, they didnt charge us for the extra bed because of the water leak ..the resort was not what i expected at first, but in the end it was still an enjoyable experience mostly because of the superb food and accomodating staff..

Positive vibe, Strong customer service, Need to upgrade room facilities”

It's a home away from home. Once you arrive at the resort, the staffs will greet and accommodate you right away. Rooms are ready right away but they should have a radio on hand because the reception is far from the rooms. They don't have phone inside the room so if you need anything etc, you need to climb up to the reception area. The package is inclusive of full board meals and the food is great. However, they don't offer ala carte meals so better bring "baon" because there is no restaurants nearby. One thing i don't like in this hotel is their squeaky bed. The beach don't have a sand where you can chill so if you prefer beach bumming, i don't recommend you to stay here. But if you love the "under the sea" view like me, this is a perfect place. Don't forget to bring your aqua shoes and snorkeling gears.

    Hassle-Free Stay in Anilao”

Quite expensive for the budget-conscious traveler, but what I like about this resort is that full-board meals (mini buffet) are included (dinner, breakfast, and lunch). the views and amenities are great. marine life is very rich and can be seen just a few meters from the shore. We stayed here twice this year, and the hotel staff allowed us to check-in early.

Could be a gem, but managed by amateurs who don’t care. No parking available, platinum room smelled like a sewer, failure to answer multiple telephone calls and emails, had issues trying to book a boat for diving due to poor history of paying boatmen, food was mediocre, and at checkout was told they did not accept credit card payment. We thought they were joking. You’re a dive resort, right? Who does that?
