Find hotels near Hamamatsu in Hamamatsu, Japan

Stayed for a night on the way to some where else. I didn't know anything about Hamamatsu till I got here because information is sprawled everywhere around the hostel. There's lots of flyers everywhere. A huge mural map on things to check out. Printed a4 copies of a 'food map' all the good eats within walking distance of the hostel. Needless to say it's a standard Japanese hostel: tremendously clean, shower comes with good shampoo and body soap, they put a space heater at the ladies' shower area so you won't be all cold when you step out the shower. They make me wanna come back and do an actual vacation just centered around Hamamatsu.

-very good location with JR & train station near by. (2-3min by walk only) -easy to shop. with malls/supermarket/ convinence stores all around (2-3 min by walk) - many choices of restaurant (some 24 hr) nearby -affordable price meeting all your basic needs -quick response from staff -bed mattress very comfortable (that i plan to purchase the same brand for my home) - highly recommend for travellers to go to Hamamatsu with tight budget but still would like to enjoy private rooms. The money saving can help me buy more souvenirs & pay an extra night for a luxury hotel for next stop.

My stay at the Richmond Hotel was very satisfying. Although the rooms are compact (as is the case with most “business hotels” in Japan), they are very clean and comfortable. It has all the necessary amenities for a business traveler (i.e. wifi in the rooms). The hotel staff were also very pleasant and friendly. The hotel is a short walk from the main downtown area of Hamamatsu and about a fifteen minute walk from the station. It is probably best to get a taxi from the station to the hotel (about 700 yen at the time of this writing). There is not much around the immediate surrounding area but it is very quiet ensuring a good night’s sleep. Overall, I would strongly recommend this hotel to a business traveler.

I would highly recommend this hotel. It's strategically located near JR Hamamatsu station. The room is of reasonable size and very comfortable. Only one pillow was given in single occupancy, however there's a spare pillow in the wardrobe and you can request for extra pillow, should you desire. The reception area for checking in is on the Level 2. Room card is given and needed to access to your floor. I thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast too, it's served at the restaurant on Level 1. There were selection of Western and Japanese food.

Location is far from station but the service from the staff is excellent. The Staff at Hotel Concorde Hamamatsu provide lots of information for tourists spot and local hot spot, even though they cannot speak English. You can feel they are trying their best. Room is clean and the room is totally acceptable for the view/price/size. I will rate it 8 out of 10 due to location and language barrier. Hamamatsu will be a good location for a 2 days stay if you are travelling to nearby tourist hotspots. Quiet, peaceful place.

Excellent location with excellent service and facilities for a single person or couple just needing somewhere to stay while they travel Japan. Hamamatsu is a nice city that is in the middle of Tokyo and Osaka and the Shinkansen line stops here including the Hikari. I traveled to Tokyo,Kyoto, Nagoya, Kobe and Atami during my 10 day stay and this was an excellent and cheap place to stay while I traveled. If you want to eat out there are many restaurants and places to get food around the hotel.

Location of hotel is great. Just opposite to hamamatsu station. Malls and food all around. Breakfast was not worth it. Cold and no variety, better to save the money and eat at malls. Bad thing was room very stuffy as centralised aircon. We went to lobby to inform them and staff were kind to send us an air cooler so it helped. Will recommend this hotel is you are staying on for 1 night.

meijiya is a 20 minute walk from hamamatsu station which is fine if you only have a small bag. i was attending a weekend conference in the act centre, so, although a little far from the station, it was conveniently located for that. rooms are small, clean, a little dated and with the usual tiny attached bathroom that is standard for a hotel in this price range. there is a public bath on the 8th floor which is pleasant but which, as it isn't an outside bath, doesn't offer the night view that the hotel suggests it does! my room was right next to the elevator so i was worried about being woken up by noisy people returning late on a friday night but it was very quiet.the only thing i found annoying was a high pitched buzzing sound (on the 3rd floor at least) which seemed to be connected to the public bath or laundry room. ear plugs helped with that! one of the front desk staff spoke very good english, the others didn't appear to.

Hotel Route Inn Hamamatsu Ekihigashi is an easy walk from the JR station and the ACT Conference complex. The staff spoke excellent English, were obliging and helpful when we had to leave our luggage all day after check-out to attend our conference. Ample breakfast was included in the room price, and the best thing was the public bath on the 10th floor-great to relax after a weekend's conference and sight-seeing. We even walked home after dinner out late in the busy nightlife area west of the station.

Staff is very friendly. Hotel room is a little bit small but just enough for short stay. They provide breakfast, simple curry rice in the afternoon and one drink and snack also. I have been here with my 2 year old baby but don't have any problem when I stayed here. Staff guided me the details way go to Nagoya port aquarium and my son vey enjoyed overthere. I will stay here next time if I come to Hamamatsu.

Yes, this turned out to be a ‘love hotel’ but not a seedy den of taboo. Ok, it is available for short hire but here’s the thing. No one hassles you (ie there is no one trying to sell you anything), the rooms are large with heaps of extras (how about your own private sauna and soaking bath), and really inexpensive. There are no noises from other guests because every room is insulated. Hence the karaoke entertainment system and the poker machine (this is not a misprint). It is an adult hotel so the vending machine in the room dispenses the types of things that are available for adults. But for the solo traveller, it ticks all the boxes way better than I thought. Space, inexpensive, clean, and unobtrusive. It was a Y1200 cab ride to the railway station but you can walk there in 25 minutes. Hamamatsu Castle is on the way. This is my first ‘love hotel’, and it is a small sample size but they will definitely feature on the next Japanese itinerary with my wife.

I am genuinely grateful for your help. ありがとうございました! The room was spacious unlike other Japanese hotels. Mine was around 30+ sqm. Everything was clean. Bed was huge and comfortable. The reception area was also spacious. The restroom at the lobby was clean and no unpleasant smell even though there were a lot of guests, the booking was full, during my stay. It's quite near JR station but the sidewalks along the way were a little bumpy. And the hotel is in the city and is in walking distance to many places. A number of restaurants nearby, Family mart and the post office were just around the corner. Overall, a pleasant stay. I would definitely book this hotel once again if I visit Hamamatsu :)

This is a typical Japanese spa resort hotel by the sea. My room was a little larger than the usual narrow Japanese hotel rooms. I was in fact given a room with 3 beds when I was a solo traveller. It was comfortable and offered a small sofa and chairs and tables for a small gathering. It was a room with a "Shinkansen view" which literally means I could see the trains passing by only 50 metres away from the building. There are rooms with "ocean views" which would be much better. All the same I had a small balcony for sunny days. The staff at reception was particularly friendly and helpful. It rained terribly during my stay and, because I was tired from the long hike I had completed on the day, I didn't make full use of the spa facilities. However, there is a noticeable holiday resort feeling about the place, and I am sure that on a day with blue skies it must look wonderful as the hotel faces the ocean. I feel that the 4-star rating is slightly exaggerated as there is nothing truly exceptional about the hotel compared to other "spa" hotels where I have stayed in Japan. The bathrooms are the same usual plastic molded noisy affairs that you find in Japan. I would still recommend this hotel for its location and
