Lodge is right by the beach. There's a lot of options for food and drinks nearby. Staff were helpful and accomodating. We booked tricycle tours right there. The room we booked was just ok. Bathroom was big but the lock was broken. We had great view of the beach right outside though.

Cheaper accomodation”
My boyfriend and I stayed at Hannah’s Lodge for 2 nights this January 2020. The location is great, beach front along Sabang Beach in Baler, Aurora, also walking distance to restaurants, community, surfs for rent and etc. I suggest not to book the room downstairs if possible, no windows that you can open for fresh air, windows are permanently closed and locked and no fire exit. The room upstairs are bigger and couple of them have beach & ocean view. We requested the room upstairs the 2nd night. The staff are very kind and helpful but have limited English. The rooms are not great but good enough for the value with fan and air con, no hot shower. Over all we enjoyed our stay. Just don’t expect too much in any of the budget resort accommodation in Baler. But Baler has very beautiful scenery and beautiful surfing beach and long beautiful Sierra Madre Mountains.

WORST HOTEL I EVER STAYED DON'T EVER BOOK HERE”
Me and my friends booked a different hotel room for our 2 night stay in Baler. During our first day, we just confirmed with the hotel staff that they didn't logged our booking for the 2nd night so they have to assign a different hotel room for our 2nd day which is less than what we paid. They didn't even offer a refund even though the hotel room is of less value than what we paid. Would be much better if they would have refund the excess value of what we paid to what they have assigned to us UGH!! What made the matter worse is that during our fist night when we got back to our hotel, we discovered that there isn't any water in our hotel room. The staff told us that there has been a problem with their water tank so we waited for 30 mins for their resolution. Good thing they transferred us to a better room. The next day, after our tour, our new hotel room smells very unappetizing. We discovered that the drainage of our rest room is clogged that may have caused the fishy smell!!

So many problems with their water supply and drainage! They even forgot to assign us a room for our Agoda booking. Heck, they didn't even apologized or offered us something for the trouble they have done to our trip. DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Good location but facilities can be improved ”
The guesthouse is located right along Sabang beach and we were given a room with a nice view of the ocean. We were thankful that even though we arrived really early before 6am, we were allowed to do early check in. The room was ok and enough for two people however at the time there was construction going right outside our room on so it was noisy and dusty and kinda chaotic with all the construction materials strewn about. Also, be reminded to bring insect repellant because at night there are a lot of these small flying insects along the whole strip of the beach and they can get inside your room once you open the door. It was really annoying swatting off these insects the whole night.

Best place to stay in Baler ”
The day before I check out. 10PM at night, I was seriously sick, the owner drive me to hospital and waited their for me to do all the test, it was pouring by that time, and when I felt better, she sent her families to pick me up from the hospital back to the hotel again. By the time it was almost 1:30 in the morning and it was bucketing down. Thanks for everything you guys have done. A great family. BTW, food there is good, i actually only left the hotel when I was surfing. The hotel is just by the sea, ez access to the beach.

Okay for money”
My husband and I were only there for a night so we wanted something affordable but in a good location. We didn't expect the building would be so old. The air-conditioning wasn't good so we even had to use the fan at the same time to keep it cold. There was no toilet paper when we checked-in. However location was good as it was at the beach front. But I am so disappointed that we stayed here finding out that this was the type of facilities they offer to their guests. Decent for budget travelers who are not picky.

Very uncomfortable stay”
I would recommend you book another hotel, this was our last option and we didn't have a choice. But if you do have a choice, I would suggest you NOT to book in this lodge. It was a horrible stay. We were not able to sleep. I booked 2 rooms, each good for 4 people. It was a double-deck bed. The aircon at first was not that ok, but there was an electric fan to compensate for its inefficiency. However, their power was cut off, and they only used a generator. We had to use an electric fan and since it was a double-deck, we hardly had air, especially if there are 2 people sleeping in one bed. My niece was crying all night because it was really hot, and there was no aircon. Horrible, uncomfortable, we wanted to get out as soon as we checked in.

The place was easy to find. It was a simple room and we were surprised to find that they gave us toiletries which were really nice of them. They were renovating during our stay and we were a bit bothered by the noise they were making while we sleep, it was around 8am. But the staff were really nice.

The room was small but clean and comfy. Cold aircon, hot shower (though water pressure was weak), TV channels were very limited.
