Great location, clean rooms, and super helpful staff”
Soon after we booked through Agoda, we received a follow-up email from them. All correspondences leading up to our stay at the hotel were promptly responded to. They were able to arrange for a pick-up from the airport to their hotel. The location of the hotel in Old Quarter is very convenient. The room was well equipped with the necessary amenities and toiletries. The towel decorations after every day room cleaning service were eye catchy. Food at their restaurant tasted nice! Their front desk staff were super helpful! And, the numerous bellhops at their hotel whose names we did not register were super helpful at all times. Even when we alighted from vehicles across the street coming back to their hotel from our our numerous trips (Ha Long Bay, Sapa), they were able to spot us, cross over to the other side, and help us with our luggage even without us asking for any help from them! We were really moved and touched by their level of service! Hats off, everyone!

Best service, lovely helpful staffs”
Hotel located very near the Hoan Kiem lake and to center of old quarter, less than 1 min walking distance to Sapa Express (Bus to Sapa). Need some searching though because the hotel is nestled between other blocks and at first hard to locate. From the start when we book through Agoda the sales personnel has been extremely helpful and responsive to our million inquiries/requests. The moment we stepped in the hotel, they provided 5 star hospitality, starting from greetings, welcome fruits, handling of luggage, they even gave us a room tour, and the room was wonderful, clean and pillow was fluffy. They care to the details of our trip, recommending places to go, making sure to help where needed. They helped to keep our luggage for 1 day, and make sure to send us up the Grab taxi (communicating with the grab driver). From start to end, their attitude and demeanor are 120% pleasant and all smile. Absolutely love their customer services, would definitely come back to this hotel.

The hotel is so clean compared to the pics shown in the portal; I was very much impressed by the staff support, the way the welcomed with a drink, organising my full day trip, half day tours. My family of four thoroughly enjoyed our 6-nights' stay here. Everything was perfect; from bellhop, receptionist and staff, to breakfast, bedding and room facilities. Breakfast was indeed most commendable, a vast variety of food and beverages; even side hot dishes which can be ordered. Staff was most polite. Bed was soft yet firm with warm thick duvet and above all, comfy pillows! And, the staff at front desk was most helpful regarding food, shopping, just anything you need to know. I'd give a thumbs up to the bellhop during our first few days of stay. He was so attentive and helpful, even risked his life to stand in the middle of the road, to assist us in taking a memorable pic of us standing in front of the hotel. Yes, we've high regards for this wonderful cosy hotel and are already recommending our relatives and friends to come and stay here. The rate is so affordable too! Spacious rooms and wonderful staff”
My family and I stayed at 3 different hotels in Hanoi with the same ratings but I can definitely say that Hanoi Emerald was our favorite. The rooms are spacious and the staff was wonderful. The location is central to the old quarters but the street it is on isn’t as busy as the other 2 hotels that we stayed at during our trip - which is what we prefer. The buffet breakfast had a mix on American & Vietnamese breakfast. My daughter loved the pho for breakfast. Great value for the money.

Great Stay”
Very pleasant stay! The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. Even offered to help me with calling the tour operator when I was waiting for my tour to pick me up. The Junior Double room is decent and spacious. Window views were not great but I didn't mind. Room amenities were acceptable, including a decent minibar (chargeable) and free daily water bottles. There is a safe, wardrobe with hangers, a TV with some cable channels, a couch and a work desk. There were reasonable toiletries in the bathroom too, including toothbrush/toothpaste, body soap and shampoo, a shaver and a hair dryer. Soundproofing could be better as I could hear other people in the corridor. Wifi is decent, at times, the LTE data through my phone was faster. The staff did not tell me the wifi password at first, so I had to ask them, but not an issue. Breakfast is good, a mix of local and international cuisines. Sufficient enough for me. I went to the restaurant one evening at 9 pm but it was closed so I didn't get to try out dining at the restaurant. The hotel also helped me arrange for an airport pick-up when I arrived in Hanoi, and I had no trouble finding the driver. The location is convenient and walkable to other places in the Old Quarter area. Short walk to the Hoan Kiem lake area.

Good service and clean hotel”
Stayed 8 days in Hanoi and the staff, esp Ms Hana, arranged all our city tour and day trips to Sapa, Halong Bay and Ninh Binh. The reception helped with transport arrangements, recommendations to eats and shop etc. Breakfast spread was good and fresh. Staff remembered our names and room number and porters were quick to help at all times. The facial and massage were fantastic too. All the staff in the hotel are diligent and always smiling. We really like the atmosphere and service there.

Very Friendly Hotel ”
Staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed 2 nights at end of October, went on an overnight Halong Bay cruise, and returned to the hotel for another 2 nights. Stayed in a Junior double room. Room was spacious, bed was large and comfortable, water pressure was fine. The building is narrow mid block and has 9 levels. No views and the standard rooms only have internal windows. Breakfast is a reasonable spread, lots of fresh fruit. Being in the Old Quarter and five minutes walk from Hoan Kien lake, it was very accessible to food, shops, sights.

Good Choice ”
This was my forth trip to Hanoi, but first time to stay at Hanoi Emerald Waters H&S. The staff were all very friendly and helpful (which seems to be common in Hanoi). The location makes it very convenient for getting around all the popular areas of the city. They also have a nice breakfast that was included with the room. Good selection and choice of eggs and other custom dishes. Another recommendation - the reception set us up with a free guided tour with two nice university students who did a great job taking us around and explaining things.
