We went to Hanoi for our 21st Wedding anniversary celebration and we picked Hanoi Era hotel for it good reviews and indeed we enjoy every moment during our stay. 1. Location - excellent location in Old quarter. Waling distance to many famous eateries and sightseeing like Thang Long Water Puppet show Theater, Hong Kiem Lake, St. Joseph Cathedral, weekend night market & etc. 2. Services - We received the warmest and exceptional services from them. They provide professional advice and smiles is always on their face. Additionally, Knowing that it is our anniversary celebration, they decorated the room with flowers and prepared a small cake for us. 3. Room - Nicely decorated and the bed is firm and comfortable. 4. Breakfast - Thought it is a small hotel, but the breakfast are adequately prepared with wide selection. When we checked out, they prepared a small gift and a self-made card to send their well wishes to us for our wedding anniversary. This is so sweet and heart warming.

Best in Old Quarter”
Stayed at 2 different hotels in Old Quarter and Hanoi Era was everything we wanted. It's a new hotel with AMAZING STAFF mostly graduates and uni students; they speak good English. GREAT location. Just GREAT. It's really close to the lake, water puppet theatre, night market and night life. Very good breakfast. Don't under estimate their small dining area. There's buffet;salad, fried noodles, fruits, spring rolls, yoghurt etc plus ala carte you can order from the menu-freshly cooked-and delicious! If your flight is early, they will pack your breakfast too so you can eat at the airport. King size bed is huge n very comfortable. Booked taxi to airport and it was clean and spacious, good driver. They give a list of restaurants which you can visit and a map , very handy. Our special thanks to Ms Jasmine and Liam and all Hanoi Era staff. They are so helpful, friendly but courteous with a bit of humor. This place is truly a gem in Hanoi. Definitely will come back!

Hanoi ERA Hotel is staffed by good employees especially Ms Janice Nguyen, Sales Manager. It is located near famous coffee joints such as Giang Cafe and Lam Cafe-just a few steps from the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant called ERA Restaurant just 2 min walk away and we find the food and service really great-especially with a 15 per discount voucher offered by Hanoi ERA Hotel. From Hanoi ERA Hotel one can walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and shop along the way. For even affordable dining try Net Hue Restaurant-one street away from the hotel. Superb Location and service”
Hanoi Era hotel has superb location!Walking distance from the Old quarter, Hoe Kiem Lake and the Night market. All the staff are friendly and very accomodating. Breakfast is also very nice it comes with typical breakfast spread plus you can order made to order breakfast like omellete, french toast, crepe, of course Pho. The room is quite small but for the price and location I will take it. Comfy bed, nice interior and cleanliness is superb. Highly recommended.

Highly Recommended for Staying in Hanoi”
This hotel is an excellent choice for staying in the old quarter of Hanoi. The hotel is located on a street with many restaurants and coffee shops, and it is walking distance to the Hoan Kiem lake, night market, and water puppet theater. The building itself is a bit outdated, but rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is good and convenient. What really makes this hotel stand out is the staff. They are extremely friendly and helpful. From the first day I checked in, they all remembered my name and my daily activities. They can help you plan a tour and even escorted me to a nearby restaurant and helped me to order pho. Top notch service! The hotel recently opened a restaurant right around the corner from the hotel (called "The Era Restaurant") which I also highly recommend. The food is fantastic, serving both traditional Vietnamese and western dishes, and the restaurant itself is brand new and beautiful!

What a budget hotel in Hanoi. The location, the rooms, the price, the breakfast, and, the friendly staffs, always willing to help and smiling to service. Highly recommend when you looking for a hotel in Hanoi. For travel between Hanoi airport and hotel, if you are not with too many luggage. Bus 86 is one of the choice, us$1.50 each o/w, the stop is just 3 min walk to the hotel, tell the driver (Tran Nhat Duat Street / Hanoi Era hotel). For airport, the hotel staffs are willing to help you where to catch the bus.

We stayed here 1 night and then 2 nights before and after a Halong Bay cruise. Our first night was my boyfriend´s birthday. I had made a comment about this when booking the room but had not asked for anything other than a recommendation for a nice restaurant for his b´day dinner. We were greeted with a warm smile and a very pleasant surprise when taken up to our room. We had been upgraded to the excecutive suite(standard suite booked), it had been decorated with baloons etc, a lovely little birthday cake and a b´day card with such a sweet and sincere greeting written. They really went the extra mile and made his day very special. All the staff were super nice and were always ready to meet our wishes. Especially the women in the reception. The location is perfect. If you are planning a trip to Hanoi, look no further. You can book a room at the Hanoi ERA Hotel! I can´t wait to come back here.

We stayed at Hanoi Era Hotel for 1 night, it's in Old Quarter area. The staff here were very helpful, especially Ms. Jeanece, she was very helpful and nice, she explained all the things we need to know. The area was also good, it's nearby all tourist attraction. They also provide vegetarian food, so we can eat it as Moslem 😊

Great experience for Hanoi!”
Location was fantastic! Slightly off old quarters so you are always fairly close to the scene and yet able to take the respite when necessary. Staff were so helpful and courteous, they made the hotel feel like home! From helping us call the travel agency to check on our bookings for Halong Bay (we didn't book with the hotel and they never slighted us for that!) to offering to pack breakfast for our early morning flight! They always made sure we felt welcomed and at home right in Hanoi! The hotel pictures are accurate and true to description so that did not become an issue! Perhaps one area they could improve on is the water pressure in the shower, it's a little weak and I'm sure most guests won't mind a slightly more powerful shower in the toilet! But other than that, really kudos to the team, if I had to recommend a hotel in Hanoi, this would be it.

I stayed in Jan with my parents as tourist. Eddie greeted us warmly & briefed us on getting around Old Quarter (including how to cross the road). He also gave good recommendations for places to go and answered all our queries. In fact, all of the employee we met including the two very helpful door boys were exceptionally hospitable. Sincere and always with a smile. Rooms are good size for the price. Bathroom a bit small but all clean and showers function well. Although my room was facing the busy road, windows are doubled glass with rubber seal, so noise wasn't an issue. Cupboard was old or old fashioned wood. The only recommendation I have is the wall cushion set against the bed in my room, it could use a bit dusting out to rid dusty smell. My parents room was decorated better without it, with framed old pics of Hanoi. Location is great, easy walks to restaurant & shops. Breakfast served with plenty of choices. We even can exchange money here. Overall lovely stay!

Warm and comfortable”
This is one of my best stays in hanoi old quarter during my visit here many time and over a decade long. Every staffs put their very best in term of their services which makes me feel very comfortable and enjoyable, therefore extended my stay in this hotel. Room were spacious, clean, quiet(2 layers window) and king size bed was very comfortable too. Like to mention the attention I receive from all the staffs that I remember, Ms Lan, Jasmine, Sarah and Lian from frontdesk, goes all the way to 2 gentlemen cook and 1 lady waitress from the eatery as well as the room attendant and the porter. Will certainly comes back here if I stay in old quarter again.

Hanoi Era Hotel is a wonderful place to stay if you're ever in town. We got a beautiful room equipped with all the necessary amenities that was cleaned every day, without fail. The staff were friendly and efficient, ever ready to offer assistance. Breakfast spread was decent though nothing to shout about – but this wasn't an issue as the hotel was surrounded by numerous eateries catering to both locals and tourists alike. Worth noting – it's just a walking distance from the iconic Cafe Giang that serves up delicious 'ca phe trung' (egg coffee) daily.

Perfect location, amazing staff”
The excellent customer service stood out from my stay here. The front desk staff always greeted me by name, enquired about the day's plans and helped arrange tours, transportation, gave great suggestions for meals and coffee shops. The room was lareg, comfortable and very clean. The hotel is located in the Old Quarter, few minutes walk from the night market, walking streets and Hon Kiem Lake. What was truly exceptional: on my last day I had a to catch the overnight train and they were great at arranging to keep my luggage for the the day then have a shower and freshen up before I left for the train station. Can't say enough great things and I will definitely stay again when I return to Hanoi.

However, big plus about this hotel is the staff who went above and beyond on their service from arranging the airport pick-up, booking the Halong Bay tour, showing me the direction - all hassle-free and seamless. Hospitality and worth for money”
We stayed totally 4nights in Era Hotel. The staff are so sincere and helpful, always gave the advices and introduced the attractive or food surroundings. When we joined the day trip to Hanlong Bay, they took the initiative to help us to confirm the pick up. When we need to leave earlier to morning bus to SaPa, they also prepared the breakfast boxes to us! How warmest hospitality to us! They not only took care of your stay, but also tried the best to help you in anyway. The location is good that you can access to any part of old town, but will not have much traffic congestion. The breakfast is excellent as providing fresh fruit, French bread and varieties of food with ordering omelette and Pho. Both them are delicious. It is worth and highly recommended to stay in Era Hotel.

Staff are extremely nice, friendly and helpful. We appreciate the printed guidelines on how to cross the road, how to bargain in markets and safety tips in Hanoi. Location is a within 8-10 mins walk from Hang Gai Street (the shopping haven) and the lake (a lot of happenings Fri night till Sunday). Need to do a lot of walking from this hotel or you can also use Grab Car. Room was comfortable and clean - but need to further improve on bathroom cleaning (found some hair on the shower head). The wall on some rooms were decorated with old pictures of Hanoi, there were some pictures of royal children with traditional costumes in our room - which we found a wee bit creepy. Minor suggestion to the hotel - best to stick with paintings as wall decoration. For Muslims or vegetarians, need to inform the hotel earlier on so they can prepare a special meal plan for breakfast. Overall, it's value for money and a good stay.

They have provided us with great information about the nearby tourist spots, high quality restaurants as well as traffic. They have been very helpful throughout our trip. They have even provided free local tour around Hanoi and brought us to the bus stop to the airport. We wish that we could stay a few days more with them but we have to carry on with our trip to Da Nang. Overall I would highly recommend Era Hotel if you're staying in Hanoi.

Pros -stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Got a free upgrade due to room availability of the junior suite -knowing that it is our 3rd year anniversary, the hotel helped to decorate the room with roses and swans, and even prepared a cake for us. -morning breakfast is very tasty. Spread is great as well. There’s a menu with a list of breakfast items such as French toast, poached eggs, and even pho which you can order unlimited portions, cooked fresh on the spot. -room is quiet, air con is working well, hot water for showers are always available, wifi connectivity is strong -special shout out to Janice, jasmine, and all the other front desk personnel who are extremely warm, helpful, hospitable and friendly, who calls me by my name, and makes effort to help and build a good relationship with hotel guests. -room is sufficiently equipped with bottled water, kettle, hairdryer, 4 pilllws, bedroom slippers, a safe, and a desk -location is 10/10. strategically located in old quarter.
