Location, rooftop bfast area”
Things to note: location is central, amenities are ok, there's an elevator. The bathroom is weird - might work for kinky couples - because there's no lock for the glass door and you can draw the bathroom's curtains from outside. Haha!

Most of Staffs not friendly”
Location is only 3 minutes walk to Hanoi Street Train. Only 2 Front Desk staffs greets us on our 2 nights stay. Only 1 F&B staff were smiling & nice to us. Room & bathroom were clean & big. Mind you that the bathroom is fully glass. Pull the curtain & you will be covered. TV channel were grainy but watchable. We booked 1 Triple Room, but as we arrived the Front Desk asked us to pay for 1 more person, as we only booked for 3 adults (we have 1 9 years old along). After some argument she accepted our booking & gave breakfast voucher for 4 pax. If your are on a budget & looking for big room in Old Quarter, then this is the place.

Minimal Budget option ”
The staff were kind to prepare a simple egg on bread and banana breakfast for us when we had to leave early for the airport. The water pressure is also very strong. But that’s all that was decent. The room was very old with stained everything (head board, sheets, towels) and they forgot to give us towels and water, then gave us dirty towels. The pictures are not at all what the rooms really look like and we would not stay again.

Stay away”
The bedroom was smelly and there was mold on the walls. The room was big, but wasn't comfortable at all. The lack of cleaning didn't help and the spider cobs all over the place didn't make it a nice experience. There was a balcony, but it wasn't a nice place to stay, given that there weren't any chairs available. The bathroom was really small and was also dirty. The breakfast wasn't bad, but the options were a bit limited. The staff wasn't amazing, but it was the best part of it.

Super Friendly Stuff, good location ”
I was in Hanoi for a few days and spend them in the Hanoi Pho hostel! Best decision. The staff is super friendly and helpful with everything, the location was in the old quater and perfect. The rooms are super nice although the bathrooms for the dorms could be a bit cleaner. The dorms are in a good condition with wifi and air condition. Every Dong worth it :)

Good place for little money”
I booked the „Double Superior“ room with a Kingsize bed. This was really big, the furniture in the room was simple, but nice and clean, tv and aircon ok, the lady of the room service came every day, brought new water (2 bottles for free every day) and towels and cleaned the room. As often in Vietnam, the room is located inside the building, with no view to street, but also no noise, so very quiet. Useful would be a little fridge in the room, but this is maybe too much for this price. The location of the Hostel is in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, but about a 10 minutes walk away from the "party hot spots" where many people meet in the streets in the evening to sit, drink and talk. Quite good to cool down after a hot evening. As to read in other comments I can confirm that the young owner is very dynamic and helpful, as the whole staff.

Excellent all round”
This was a great place to stay and I highly recommend it. Price was very good. Location in the old quarter is ideal for walking to many popular sites. The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms really modern and clean. Staff were extremely helpful for us and really went out of their way to help. Wifi was good as well. You can book cars or mini-vans or cruises through them as well. English level was high so communication was no issue. Thanks for a great stay!

Good Value in Old Quarter”
Stayed for two nights and was happy with the value for the price. Staff are friendly at the front desk and helped us arrange laundry service (40k VND per 1 kilo). The included breakfast is great and adds to the value! It happens in the downstairs pub area. Bathroom was clean - the shower drain wasn't the best in our room, but it wasn't a huge deal other than the bathroom lake it created. The fan in the bathroom didn't work all that well, so when we left and came back the room was pretty humid and everything felt moist. The AC worked though. The bed was clean and comfortable enough. In the evenings, the pub can really crank some music, and we heard the bass even on the 6th floor. Fortunately, we weren't light sleepers.

Advertised on Agoda as superior room with minibar, etc, etc. In fact very bare room without amenities. Still, staff just fantastic: helpful and very nice. Really good breakfast included and a free water or beer daily. Good location in old quarter. Good value for money.

Great quiet place”
The hotel and hostel is situated in a very nice and quiet street so you are able to get a good nights sleep. The staff are very friendly and are always wanting to help you with everything. The only down side is as for a hostel it doesn't really have any atsmosphere. However you just walk 10 mins and you will be in the heart of the nightlife. I spent a lot of time at other hostels to socialize.

Room size is reasonable and clean. Bed is just nice. Good location, walking distance to most attractions. Friendly and helpful staff, always asking whether I need a taxi. I never use the local taxi, but use Uber once, with reasonable price. Unfortunately, Uber is not available in Ninh Binh and Halong.

very kind and helpful staff”
staff were very accomadating. We book several tours with them and each time we returned to Ha Noi they took care of us letting us use the facilities even though we were not staying the night. They even took us to the train station and carried my bag to my berth for me. The room was decent sized and clean with a nice shower.

It was a good clean room, the bar downstairs can be noisy if your room is on the first floor. Great staff, very helpful when I had to arrange for something to be dropped off at the hotel.

Okie but not so good”
Great location, from there you can walk to the old center streets, not even need a bike. In overall, the place is okie, but it seems not clean as expected, my room was smelly. The cleaning staffs were too noisy talking to each other like yelling in the middle of a wet market. I'll not come back, but it's still okie within the money spent.

Short and Simple”
Managed to draw first blood for review here, a great hostel here, cheap and reliable, friendly staffs too. would highly recommend here for budget backpackers as I only try the dorm rooms. not sure about the standard rooms though. as its on promotional period, breakfast was complimentary for my first 2 nights stay.
