Amazing family ”
By far the best budget accomodation we have ever had. Highlights- food was great. Mekong delta boat trip was not touristy or commercial, an authentic experiance, like a family shopping trip to the market. The resturant is on the river. The pool was AMAZING. There is a room with a/c and a private bathroom but we took a simple room with 2 beds and fans, the shared bathroom had hot water. We travelled with a 2yr old and 4yr old and it sas fine. We planned 2 nights and stayed 4. At check out we were amazed at how little we owed after eating and drinking all our meals there. Thuyan was amazing. She helped us get to and from Happy Family and went above and beyond. Phoning ahead to book ferry for us and getting us a great deal on accomodation. It felt more like staying with family freinds. Lovely experiance. If you are expecting a luxuary resort and spa go elsewhere but if you are after an amazing stay on the mekong river you will not get better than this.

A wonderful place to stay”
We spent three nights at the Happy Family Guesthouse and were very pleased. The facility is lovely and is located right on the river. The staff did everything they could to make us comfortable, including arranging for a boat to take up further upriver when we continued our trip. The food was outstanding, and it was great meeting the family. We would not hesitate to recommend this guesthouse. and if we were ever in that part of the world again, we would stay there.

Summer villa retreat in the middle of Mekong”
Beautiful location in the middle of the Mekong delta, surrounded by farms, canals, and overlooking the Mekong river. A bit of a ride (12 km) from Vinh Long city so contact them to set up pickup (they have bikes and motorbikes to rent). Gorgeous, a beautiful courtyard with statues, pavilions, and fruit trees everywhere; free breakfast, fruit and homemade ice cream. And Thu Yan and Guillermo treat you like family. Wifi is a bit weak, but they let you use their computer. This is the Mekong escape I was looking for.

Excellent staff, great location”
Very peaceful location and great view of the sunset at the riverfront restaurant. Excellent staff and services. I left something important behind and Mr Chau took great care to ensure that it was sent to me safely and quickly. He turned a potentially disasterous situation into an experience of great services and honesty, one which I appreciate and will never forget. Thank you Mr Chau and Happy Family GH! Beautiful island stay”
Beautiful guesthouse in the most incredible setting. Set far into the Mekong delta, a bit of a challenge to get to (motorbike taxi from the ferry). But if you are looking for a relaxing stay then this is absolutely perfect. With the restaurant overlooking the river, with almost no other people in sight apart from the odd fishing boat, it it the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The food is 5 star and all of the staff are super friendly and helpful. Lovely pool to relax and cool off in and plenty of places to chill or sunbath. Pool table and darts are great for entertainment. Rooms are basic but comfortable and all very clean. Just bring your bug spray and be sure to bring enough cash as we had tried to make a trip to the ATM. Apparently there is only one on the island 7km away. But we couldn't find it and had the a tough time trying to drive a moped around as there's basically no roads just mostly dirt tracks.

peaceful, tranquil and relaxing”
And breathe... after the big cities in Vietnam this is as peaceful and relaxing as it gets. Right on the river with deck chairs and hammocks everywhere. The swimming pool was fabulous and the wifi was excellent! Food was good and staff friendly and smiling. You need a motorbike taxi to get here, but just call the guesthouse and they will make sure the motorbikes are waiting for you at the ferry. They have bicycles and motorbikes for hire, massage and tours. We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

Quaint ”
Amazing! Wish I had more time to stay. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Cháu and Tống are so nice. As well as the owner Thuy An. The grounds are perfect to to lounge around all day and relax. It's far from the ferry port, but I purposely choose this to experience more of the local feel. The only down side is that is that you are far from tour agencies and limited only to however many guests do a tour from the guesthouse. The food is delish. I loved everything. I biked around the quaint towns and visited the Cao Dai temple. It should not be missed .

An incredible guesthouse on the shores of the Mekong Delta. Great restaurant overlooking the water, excellent food and warm hospitality. Definitely off the beaten path and perfect for those who want to immerse themselves in authentic Vietnam!

Relaxing stay”
Lovely Homestay/guesthouse with a great pool. Good food menu at very reasonable prices. Stunning views right on the Mekong. Beautiful gardens. Staff were helpful in organising scooter and onward travel.

nice guesthouse, all good except for the floating market tour”
the guesthouse is basic, but nicely located on the riverfront with clean rooms. staff mostly helpful. nice pool. we did the floating market trip with them. by the time we reached the market, there was no action except for the 100 other tourist boats. we asked the day before to go earlier but they told us the market would not open earlier.... factory visit also very touristy. to be honest we would have expected more than the average mass tourism tour and were quite disappointed.

You can't get closer to the Mekong than at this place”
This is a great little accommodation right next to the river. You can't get closer to the Mekong and enjoy the life on the river than here. Several standard rooms and one riverside cottage. I stayed at the cottage. It is quiet basic and slightly overpriced at 40usd per night but I guess you pay for the location and the view. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Waking up with the sounds coming from the river - priceless. There is a nice swimming pool but I didn't have time to use it. There is also a restaurant and they serve the food on the terrace right next to the river. The food is great and this is a good place to taste the Vietnamese delicacies. The owners, a Finnish-Vietnamese couple, and the whole staff were very friendly and welcoming. I will stay here again on a next Mekong adventure planned for 2018 or 2019, just I think I'll opt for one of the standard rooms this time.

We had a lovely stay here. The garden was beautiful and the people were very kind. Only the bathroom was very dirty. And when you want to sit in de sun, there is no place because everwhere is shadow. But if I would go to vinh long again, I would stay here again!!

Great place tucked away from the city! ”
I would say this was less a homestay and more of a resort set-up, but regardless, it was still wonderful. The fan rooms are very basic, but good enough. It was definitely on the pricier side for what you get, which isn't much, but the atmosphere was really lovely. Even though this was one of the most expensive places we stayed, we extended an extra night because we liked it so much. The grounds are beautiful, and the staff are super kind. It's right on the Mekong, so if you like boat watching, this is PRIME. This is on Anh Binh island, but in a very secluded part. You can rent a bicycle and puts around the local village, which I'd highly recommend. Overall, it was a great few days!

Paradise on the Mekong river”
Pro: amazing friendly staff, room, the pool, the social areas, the boat trips, food, free real breakfast, rice wine shot.... Everything was perfect. Good place to relaxing, meet new friends and enjoy the Mekong life style. Con: nothing, except you should love to be lost in the middle of an island.

A real gem!”
We stayed for two nights. Unfoutnately in a room w/o AC, only a fan so the room was extremt hot. But everything else was just wonderful! The view of the Mekong river was stunning! This homestay is located really remote, which we liked a lot. It has a beatiful little garden and a lovely pool. The staff is wonderful and even though some of the doesnt speak English so well they really tried to do their best. Would definitly stay there again!

Friendly and lovely green guesthouse at the river”
We loved the place because it is situated at the river and the owners created a beautiful garden and a lovely pool. Our kids loved swimming in it. At the back you can take a nice stroll through the village. The owner was very nice and helpfull.

Les hôtes sont d'une extrême gentillesse! Nous avions réservé une chute avec lit double et en voyant que nous avions un enfant il nous a transférer pour une chambre avec 2 lits sans frais! De plus il a pris le temps d'assurer notre transport en bateau jusque l'autre côté de la berge ou 2 taxis scooters nous attendais! Parfait pour se reposer au milieu de la nature!!
