This is a great place to stay and experience life in the village. Trúc and her family are incredible hosts, their house is very nice and well taken care of, and the food is delicious. Highly recommend staying here for a couple nights.

We were made to feel like part of the family”
Own room and bathroom, fan and mossie net with nice pillows. Quiet setting in rural village, fun catching ferries and crossing multiple bridges exploring the area. Impressive temple with giant statue few kms up the road. Truc, is a star and her mum Dai and sister Vong and Dad plus Bobby the watch dog made us very welcome, and fed us abundantly, also advising where to find great pork noodle soup, and local cafes were great spots for google translate conversations with locals and extended families that came out of the woodwork. Relaxed and truly felt like part of family. No sign on gate currently but google map will find it and then ask locals.

First of all, travelers should know that this house is not actually in cao lahn but an island off to the west. If you are traveling here, make sure that you go to the “rach sau” ferry which is about 15 or20 minutes west of where the bus to cao lahn drops you off. About the homestay: this was truly a wonderful experience. The family was so nice and welcoming. We learned a lot from truc and her family. The area is a cute farming village and it was great to just ride bikes around for an afternoon and the food was absolutely amazing. If you are looking for the real Vietnamese experience, you should stay with truc and her family.

My friend and I come here late evening when we all felt tired after long riding around An Giang & Dong Thap provinces. Tiny twisting no-signed roads leading to Happy Homestay made us sometimes seem to be lost in the dark but we soon were melted by the overwhelming kindness of the family members. Happy homestay is an authentic home where you can totally immerse yourself in the most simple and modest Mekong lifestyle. I will be back soon.

Encore merci à Truc et toute sa famille pour leur accueil ! Happy homestay porte bien son nom! Ici la joie est le maitre mot. Nous avons été très bien accueilli et garderons un très bon souvenir de notre passage dans cette famille. La chambre et la salle de bain sont propres et bien entretenues! Les repas sont délicieux et copieux (cuisinés par la maman de Truc, une personnalité attachante et souriantemais aussi une star du karaoké, un incontournable dans la région). L'île et ses alentours sont très sympathiques à découvrir en scooter ou à vélo ! Nous recommandons à 2000% ce homestay!

Une petite homestay tenue par une adorable famille. La chambre était spacieuse, la salle-de-bain commune propre, l'emplacement au calme et bien placé pour partir à la découverte des environs.
