Calm and quiet”
If you are looking for a place that are relaxing and quiet, this is a place for you. It is quite far from the city and very near to a beautiful waterfalls. I didn't stay here though I booked for 3 nights since it is too far from where I am going based on my itinerary. There was no network and it is going to be very hard to look for communication. Rides are not abundant unlike in the city. The front office of Harold's Mansion are very accommodating enough to transfer me instead of staying at the Eco-lodge. It might be a good stay at the Eco-lodge, however, it doesn't suit my purpose. Still, I'm very thankful to Harold's.

The lodges. Are very spacious and clean but you are far away from the main town of Valencia up a really steep mountain road about 6km outside town so you do need to real hire a motorbike from dumergete before you arrive otherwise tricycles can be expensive up and down . Not any facilities either cr not brilliant apart from lodge had to walk through the eco park to it

Remote location but pleasant stay”
I was a bit shocked when I finally reached Harold's - it was a good 20 Kms from Dumaguete and I had to transfer from tricycle to motor bike as the road up is very steep. The lodge is pleasantly located very close to Casororo Fall and 3 hours hike to Twin a Waterfalls. However there is no food available at the lodge and no restaurants around - you have to take a bike to Valencia about 6 Kms away. I did stay, got some food from Valencia which I cooked on the dingle electric hob and visited the Falls. The lady who managed the lodge was very friendly but spoke little English. The room was fine - clean, comfy beds and lovely verandah. The shared bathroom was simple but clean. I enjoyed my stay but it is a long way from the city.

Far from dumagete, 20p/per jeepny from dumagete to valencia, 30p/per motobike from Valencia to Harold's , share bathroom with cold water from mountain, share toilet, share kitchen with cooking devices and seasoning, no food selling nearby, you must take enough food to cook from valencia

great vibe but far from the city”
Harold Mansion was recommended by one of my friend. I didn't know that Ecologe is far away from the city as Agoda was showing wrong location on the map. Owner was nice enough to provide me a credit and got room in Mansion which is centrally located. I did however went to see Ecolodge as part of my trip to Casaroro. I have to say cottages are very nice but far away from the city. Must be a great place for relaxation but my prime goal was to explore surrounding islands and beaches during my short stay there so this wasn't for me. Mansion is a great backpacker place with a lot of trips on offer. Highly recommended.

Best location in the mountains. Quiet, beautiful”
The place is amazing. Its a nice location in the mountains next to the Casaroro Waterfalls. The cottages are in the middle of a garden and you fall asleep to the sounds of insects and frogs, which isn't bad at all even though it seems like it would be. There's no air conditioning because its already cold up in the mountains of Valencia. Obviously there is no Wifi or anything but that is the whole point of this place.

Location is beautiful and quiet”
The bungalow we stayed in was nice and big and let a lot of light in. The only thing wrong with this place is there is no restaurant or even a shop so you have to take a taxi bike to town which is 7km away. But except for that the location is beautiful and quiet. The taxi bike tour you can do is worth doing as its cheap and you do see all the attractions.

Beautiful cabin in the mountain jungle!”
It was lovely - a cabin in the jungle at the foot of a volcano, a short walk away from the waterfall and a natural swimming pool. The staff were friendly and helpful and there is a pool table. They don't have a restaurant but there is a kitchen so you can cook your own food or head into the pretty small town of Valencia, a short motorbike ride away.

Dormitory Room is good for a solo traveler ”
As a solo traveler and your budget is tight better stay in the dormitory it will cost you less. On my 4 days i used my Agoda payment not in Harolds Ecolodge but rather i stayed in Harolds Mansion. At least the staff swap it so I can used my paid rooms. On the first 2 days i stayed in a room good for 2 @ but i was disappointed of the aircon. So to save my remaining days in Dumaguete i transferred in the Dormitory @ per night. The dormitory is good. A total of 8 persons in the room not good for my first trip alone.

Die Ecolodge war sehr abseits gelegen und ist sehr runtergekommen und dreckig. Die bilder hatten überzeugt aber lagen wohl schon einige Jahre zurück. Der Rezeptionist sprach nur gebrochen bis gar nicht Englisch. Wir hatten zwei Nächte gebucht sind aber dann doch eher abgereist weil es uns absolut nicht gefallen hat

静かに森林浴するにはいい。見所は「カサロロの滝」。他に何も無い。ワイルド派にお薦めの宿。ロッジに食堂は無く、自炊が基本。但し、キッチンには冷蔵庫、電子レンジ、トースターは無い。ガスレンジと鍋、フライパン、食器と無料の飲料水があるだけ。WIFIは無い。 部屋は全てコテージで中は充分に広い。夜は冷えるので長袖、長ズボンが必要。 ロッジから舗装道を100m下ると1軒、150m上がると2軒のサリサリが有る。2軒のうち1軒がロッジのオーナーの娘さんのサリサリでロッジにお願いすると娘さんのサリサリで食事を作ってもらえる。サリサリでカップ麺、缶詰め、菓子、パン、ビールなどが買える。 (行き方) ドゥマゲッティからジプニー(所要20分、12ペソ)でバレンシアまで。 バレンシアからトライシクルで80-100ペソ。帰りは、道を下り歩きながらバレンシアに行くバイクを見つけてお願いする。運が悪いと５キロ歩いてバレンシアまで戻ることになる。 行きは上りなのでトライシクルで行くことを勧める。私は行きトライシクルで80ペソ、帰りはバイクで50ペソで済んだ。 (カサロロの滝) ロッジ前の舗装道を500-600m上って行くと終点。ここにカサロロの看板があるので300-400m程階段を下りると川に出る。ここから上流に向かい小道を歩くが、100mで道が崩れ落ちている。川のガレ場を進むことになる。雨が降ると増水で先に進めない。

自然がいっぱい、都会の喧騒を忘れる！”
Valenciaに唯一ある宿泊施設で、カサロロ滝に徒歩圏。ロッジはドミトリーだが広くてゆったりしている。庭には農作物、美しい生垣があり、周辺の自然も素晴らしい。ネットも通じないが、都会から隔絶された感じがとてもいい（携帯は通じます）。ただ周辺にはサリサリ・ストアが一軒あるだけで、レストランはない。しかもそのストアもお釣りをあまり持っていないので細かいお金が無いと買えない。町に出るにはバイタクで１００ｐかかるので、往復したらここの1泊分かかる。町で食料等を買ってから行ってもいいかも。

在山上，远离市区，但很美~老板很热情朴实”
本来以为就在市区，结果去了才知道离市区很远，在瓦伦西亚山地，一片寂静的山林里。很难忘的记忆，老板人很好，免费提供灶台器皿供我们做饭，地理的蔬菜也是随便采摘。是少有的放松度假的好去处。唯一的不足就是离市区远，一般的tutu车都无法上山。摩托车可以。

很怀念在那里度过的一个晚上，那里的人很友好热情。想吃蔬菜就在地里摘，想喝椰子，当地的年轻人就爬上树去帮你砍下。门口有个空大的厅，可以做饭喝酒聊天打台球。三个小木屋也是很新很舒适。总之住在那里有种农家乐的情趣~

"The caretaker" och hela familjen var bara för underbara. Jag visste inte att man ÖVERHUVUDTAGET inte kan få mat i byn så jag hade inte förberett mig. Men de bjöd på mat och ville absolut inte ha betalt. Jag fick tvinga dem att ta emot pengar, men jag vet inte om det var lyckat... faktiskt. Jag kommer att återvända - med hela min familj. Med det priset har jag råd. Och vilka vackra hus sedan. Och trädgården. Och naturen. Oohhh....
