Peaceful place for solo traveller”

First of all, the price is very low compared to other hostels. It's not really adjacent to any train station. You have to walk like 500m from Iriya Stn. If you're strong enough it's fine. It's quite a quiet place with a private locker room that you can store 2 large luggage inside. The bathroom consists of both shower room and bathtub, and it's quite clean. However, you need to do the bed yourself, which I find it's a bit inconvenient. I also find trashes (pins, rubber bands, hair, dust, etc.) under my mattress during doing the bed sheet. That's the only major cons for staying here. The rest is really good. The staff is helpful and well-mannered. :) Oh, and there're not many convenient stores or restaurants around the area. You may fill your stomach before finishing your day at the place.

Great Hotel for short stay”

Pros: Near the metro station Clean Room, Toilet, and Bathroom Helpful and friendly staff Huge locker room Cons: Uncomfortable pillow and mattress (You can pay 200 yen for extra bed sheet i think) You need to surrender your keys every time you going out (Which is a bit hassle on my end) Boring common room (Need to add some sort of entertainment in the room like TV or Desktop PCs) Overall, I enjoyed staying at 1 Night 1980 Yen Tokyo Hotel.

Huge locker room available ”

This hotel is neat and tidy. Also everyone will be assigned a locker room that I can put my 20kg luggage inside. Very very good in terms of luggage storage. The location is a bit far from subway, that need 10min walk. But it is only one station away from ueno which OS quite convenient indeed.

Facilities were top-notch! so many shower rooms and toilets so no waiting times. the 24 hour 3F "lounge" is the also commendable wherein you can work and eat. I just hope they provide utensils (chopsticks). the only "hassle" part would be the 1F (main lobby) - it's quite small and it gets crowded easily due to high volume of guests.

Clean, quiet dormitory not far from Asakusa. Very big locker for each person with plenty of space for luggage and clothes hangers (you can even stand inside). Security for the female floor is very good - card locks on the doors for both dormitory and shower - but it's a bit of a hassle to have to use your card twice every time you need to leave the room. A better design would be to have toilets and showers inside the dormitory. The common room is very basic - just tables and chairs and a water heater. There's no sink, cooking area, cups & dishes or other utensils so you can't even cut a fruit or wash your hands. All in all a good choice but some changes would make it even better.

Toilets, Shower Facilities were great. Would be great if they can provide shower gel and shampoo FOC daily. Also should have some toilet seat sanitiser. But for that price, beggars cant be choosers. Overall this is a cheap and great capsule hotel in a expensive city like tokyo.

Near Tokyo Metro Station ”

First impression about this hostel is clean and friendly staff. You can reach the hostel by Keisei Airport train to Ueno then take Metro to Iriya station after that go to Exit 4. You need to walk around 8 - 10 minutes from the iriya station. The bed is comfy and they have private locker room is point plus! If you buy JR pass please consider again, because far away from JR Yamanote line.

The second best common place we had in Japan. The only place with a room to lock the luggages. Bath towels were free.

Great histel, highly recommended. Reasonably priced, with luxury pods available for only slightly more. Located close to metro stations and a selection of 'marts' fo bento boxes aswell as restaurants made food and sightseeing easy. Cleaned everyday with the option to replace sheets every morning, which was nice! Staff mostly spoke good English, and those that didn't were still very helpful. Always toilets and showers free, 2 common rooms, 1 on the roof. They had laundry facilities, but dryers aren't functional. It wasn't a problem though as with in 50m are 2 coin laundrettes with dryers available. I was so happy I stayed in Tokyo an extra 4 days here and if I return, I will book my stay with them again.

1 Night 1980 was THE best deal in Tokyo. Clean, comfortable, organized, friendly. Brand new common room. Rooftop area was rather unwelcoming, unless you’re a man. Had to go through the men’s dorm, which was strange. Otherwise it was perfect. Huge storage locker (an actual closet), towels and toiletries included in the price. Cozy and private capsules.

This is my second time to stay here and I can say that there are improvements from last year. Wifi is much stronger is one of the noticeable changes. The place is cozy and clean and a very good value for money. I wont hesitate to stay here again.

Good for solo travelers. Just five minutes walk to the nearest local train line. Very clean and cozy. There's a common area in the rooftop which I highly recommend you to visit. all-in-all very nice stay

Good location and nice staff. The toiletries are all in readiness and the personal storage room is so big so that you don't care if there is no space to place your luggage and the shopping spree or souvenir.

Worth for money”

I love this hotel!!! I stayed cabin hotel for the first time. Locker room is very large but not near your bed. Overall is almost good except location, stay near Iriya station where there aren't any attractions and walk a little bit far from Iriya station. Moreover, Hibiya line subway toward to Iriya is very crowd.

nice place”

it's a nice hotel, a little far away from station but still easy to find. In centre Tokyo area, is good to travel around. Staff are friendly and clean bed. In evening it's a little noisy because it is kind of capsule hotel.

Cheap and easy”

1st: Hotel easy to be found as it located just beside main road, walk straight around 7 min from Iriya Station 2nd: This hotel doesn't has unreasonable rules that give customers inconveniences. 3rd: Staff were good to foreigners 4th: Easy access to Akihabara by Hibiya Line (subway) 5th: There is a mini market right beside this Hotel that operate from 8am to 11pm and the price are surprisingly low compare to other. 6th: There is also a clinic beside it.

Convenient and Comfortable”

I had comfortable stay at 1 Night 1980 Yen Hotel. The hotel is well-maintained and the CRs and bathrooms are very clean. The receptionist can speak and understand English. They were very helpful, polite and accommodating. The location is quiet and is near Iriya Station. They have vending machines and their rooftop is a good place to hangout. Their lockers are spacious too. The rate is very affordable.

Location is just 5 minutes walk to iriya station (metro). They provide free towel and basic toiletaries. There was vending machine to buy coffe and drinks outside the hostel. Staff was friendly and can speak english.
