Chaotic downtown”
If you like the chaotic downtown, this is the best location. And the hotel is clean and the staffs are helpful. The rooms are small, but it is common in Tokyo as this price.

Location is Great with a few place to eat such as Kebab,Indian food,Yakiniku and Chinese Noodles ,supermarket is near as well as Lawson. Don Quijote is just behind that opens 24 hours.Overall A good Hotel to stay

Close to station -metro and JR in walking distance. Close to shops. Good value. Staff were helpful. Downside was the room wasn’t that clean.. shelves were a bit dusty, and some light marks on the wall. . Small room, but had everything we needed.. overall still pretty good place to stay at

Great Hotel Walking Distance from the JR station”
The hotel is just 3 min walk from the main Ikebukuro station. For the price, it is really good with lots of food that are mostly 24/7. There is a convenient shop just opposite the hotel and many karaoke joints and pubs nearby. Highly recommended for no frills hotel where you just want to sleep for the night. Don't expect any luxury though. The room and toilet is tiny.

Hotel is abit hidden and near to Ikebukuro station. Everything was lovely, except for when I had to check out just 36 minutes late and I was charged 1000yen for that. In this sense, I felt the management was deliberately making money out of customers because 11.36am - 3pm is enough time to clean one room.

Small but Great”
Definitely on the small side (though that may be par for the course in Tokyo) but literally everything you’d need is right around the hotel. Quick and fun walk to the station and plenty of food places (Convenience stores, Restaurants, Don Quijote, etc). This place made me love staying in Ikebukuro!

the usual APA hotel, small but cozy somehow. the location is a bit far if you want to do shopping though.

Convenient hotel near Ikebukuro station. Courteous staff. The size of the room desk is too long for the room, taking up walkway space. Mattress was too soft not suitable for weak backbone.

Pros: Centrally located in Ikebukuro and very close to the train station. Cons: none. Possibly not suitable for extensive permanences: 3 to 5 days maximum if travelling with another person.

Great location, tiny space”
Location, location, location. The hotel is located several minutes from the Ikebukuro train station as well as plenty of restaurants and shopping. Although the hotel itself is very nice the rooms are extremely small. My fiance and I had two large luggages and it was difficult to store them in the room. If you're a light traveler, then the room space will be sufficient, however, if you are travelling with large or plenty of suitcases, I recommend getting a suite or another hotel.

Bad experience”
Our second stay in this hotel for 5 nights. Given that we stayed here for 5 consecutive nights, I was hoping the staff will provide us a better room, however we were assigned to 2/F of the hotel.! Every morning at 8:30am , the cleaning helpers start work on our floor, they keep chatting loudly and wake us up. Staff on front desk and the cleaning helpers are very nice and helpful. The hair-dryer was out of order and it was replaced swiftly. The mattress of the bed is way too soft which give us back pain. They helped to turn it over to make it harder. The staff are very helpful but considering the facilitates provided, I will not choose APA again.

Excellent hotel staff. We booked the hotel at the very last minute so the rate was a bit expensive. I guess you will get a good rate if you plan months in advance. Quite a number of night clubs near the hotel. A bit of walk to Seibu and Parco.

Air condition cannot control by room”
Very Small room and air condition is global control so when you come on winter season you need to open the window instead turn on air condition so i think it’s nonsense. Staff is very friendly.

Lost a bag in the hotel room but no response after reporting”
Room is small but clean, good location. there is a 24hr supermarket around the corner. I lost a bag in the room and emailed the hotel, no reponse for 11 days (still waiting).

Dirty Carpet”
Although APA (Ikebukuro-Eki-Kitaguchi) upgraded us to a larger room, the response time for email enquiry was quick and the staff were helpful, when we put a plastic bag on the carpet right after we checked in, the surface of the bag was stuck with lots of hairs. It is quite disappointing in Japan and we did not dare to step on the carpet with our bare foot. The cleanliness of a hotel room is of utmost importance.
