Small comfortable room at good location”

Although the room is small & not much space to move around, but it is clean and comfortable. Location is a short distance walk from Ueno's Shinobazu Gate Exit. On our initial arrival at Ueno station there was a confusion on the location of this hotel because we were be guided to go to another APA hotel which is also closeby but located at the Ueno park.

This is not hotel, like other Apa hotel. They renovated old apartment, and if you would like to enjoy hotel life, I will not recommend you.

Money was well spent”

Staff are extremely nice. The hotel was renovated from an apartment building. It doesn't have central heating. It took a while to warm up the room. They gave me an extra blanket. The hotel is right next to the railroads. If you are sensitive to noise, it can be a problem. Overall, my money was well spent.

Okay but...”

Physically the hotel is fine, but was alarmed by the disturbing, right wing, revisionist literature in the room. Further research and you discover the CEO of APA has done highly questionable and racist views which he likes to disseminate to every paying guest. Felt dirty giving this company my money and will never stay APA again. Not good enough.

Good location”

The hotel is conveniently located amidst many different lines where you can take to different destinations. When I first came out of the elevator, I was a little surprised because it was just like a normal residential apartment layout. The room was nicely decorated, and the bathroom was spacious unlike most cubicle ones. It was spacious for one person, but I think two people would have to go for a bigger room, otherwise there would not be enough space for the luggages. Superb hotel as always, and APA hotels always have one of the best locations.

The room is lower standard compare to other APA hotels. There is no bathtub and a little bit old for the price.

The room is small, very little space for luggage but cosy and clean. Hotel is 5-10 minutes walking from Ueno station's Shinobazu Gate Exit. Nearby is Ueno park and Ameyoko street market.

i booked double non-smoking(12sq.m.) room for 5days but hotel upgrade room (18sq.m.) for me. The room is wide that i recommend if for who have many baggage. the hotel have ice machine and scales. The hotel will not provide water on the day of changing linen(Eco action :change bed linen every 4day). Kind and helpful staff

Fantastic location. But poor hardware”

Pros: great staff. Fantastic location, 5 mins walk to 3 stations, ueno park, shopping street, close to dr in case u need it. Queen deluxe provide very good space. Cons : converted from apartment, so cold at the corridor and lift, even the room. No windows in queen deluxe. Free water provided only u dont need full room cleanup. Afterall, it's a good hotel, just not suitable for us.

Good location and clean hotel”

It is quite close to ueno station and many restaurants on the street. As there is a balcony in the corridor, noise is a concern at night. Furthermore, the room is quite small and there is only a window in the shower room.

Good value and good location ”

Believe I got upgraded to a room meant for 2. Double size bed, proper bathroom (not one of those build in ones) and even a small separate area for luggage with hanging rods. All in all a really good deal. Minutes from Ueno Station, ameyoko street just the street behind , diagonally opposite Takeya . Will recommend to friends if they want to stay in Ueno.

We were a group of 8 person (booked 4 rooms) stayed at the hotel for 2 nights mid December 2016 before going to mt. Fuji. Location is excellent! 5 mins walk from Keisie skyliner station, metro & Ueno JR station, lots of restaurants & 24 hours convenience stores nearby. Hotel staff is super helpful and very polite. Receptionist mostly can converse in English, there's a great guy who speaks fluent Chinese too. With the price we paid, as expected the hotel room is small but our double bed is comfortable. Bathroom is clean and has everything you need - including a heated toilet seat - excellent for winter!!! Before you enter the bedroom, there's a tiny wardrobe space with heater to dry your clothes. But be aware that you cannot open 2 big suitcase at the same time. Overall it's highly recommended and will return if i happen to stop by Ueno again.

central to Ueno station”

Great central location, near Ueno station and the Ueno markets. Lots of great restaurants and bars close by. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The only weird thing was the lack of privacy when showering as the shower was enclosed with a frosted glass portion directly next to the bed, rather than a solid wall.
