Hotel is just outside exit A1 of Ryogoku station. Near places like Sensoji temple, Ueno park, Akihabara, etc. Going to Shinjuku or Shibuya is very convenient. Stores like Daiso, Donki, malls, restaurants and convenient stores are everywhere around the hotel. There’s 1 convenient store just outside the hotel. I was worried about going back to the Airport since our flight back is early morning. Since we were near Ueno (Skyliner train directly to Narita), it was very convenient for us to take cab from hotel to Ueno (around Yen2,300) then took skyliner to Narita. Hotel staff are very helpful. Our room is quite spacious. We were 4 in 27sqm room with 2 beds and we're all comfortable. Extra bed is an option. Toilet is clean and nice. However, aircon is centralized. They will not adjust the temp for you. If its super cold outside you don’t have to turn on the aircon as they will set is as warmer. Better check properly with the hotel staff. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Had a great time!

Fun in Ryogoku”
This was our second stay in the Dai-Ichi hotel in Ryokogu. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and could understand our English questions. The hotel rooms were large and clean, and the view was spectacular. The Ryokogu area has the Edo-Tokyo Museum and nice walking area along the Sumida River.. There are many excellent and reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance. The subway and rail stations is a little bit of a walk, but not unusual for Tokyo. I would stay at the Dai-Ichi again.

An outstanding hotel for an affordable price!”
Stayed for 7 nights for a first time tour of Tokyo. Rooms were immaculate, appropriately sized & even contained a quirky japanese toilet. Absolutely amazing staff always available to answer your needs/questions (& understand english very well). Situated less than 100m from both the subway & JR train system making our travel super convenient. Not to mention the free shuttle bus to the Disney theme parks and portable phone provided with wifi & phone calls all included in the price. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Tokyo.

Near station and good view”
This hotel near ryogoku station, especially with JR line but a lot of stairs you have trough. There is elevator from subway station. I choose this hotel with tokyo tower view, amazing view . The room spacious than another hotel i tried before. Old hotel but clean and completely amenities.

Room very big, bath room amenities complete & various, is suitable as a 5 star hotel ”
Room is very big with King size bed, I choose Triple bed but we sleep together in the King size bed, bath room is big with an amenities complete & various, I think is suitable as a 5 star hotel. Access to the nearby subway station. If I go to Osaka again, I will choose stay here again. The price of the food and beverage menu offered is also very reasonable. Excellent hotel with the reasonable price.

Everything is quite good. However, the members of the staff who are available at the reception are young and don't have the required experience or maturity. Their English is not enough to communicate with foreigners who don't speak Japanese. Moreover I was surprised to see that the hotel cannot help rent a car with a driver. When telling them that you want to go to a location situated 100 km away, they just repeat you that they rent bicycles. Another point: the breakfast staff is taking your plates and your cups as soon as you leave your chair to take something else, even if it is obvious that you have not finished eating. The breakfast is abundant, but food is nearly the same every day. The best part might be the view from the room and the competence of the staff cleaning the room. They are extremely efficient and take into account your requirements. The receipt you get from the hotel is strange. There is a stamp with "credit payment" (why not simply "paid"?) and no signature.

Yuletide Season in Japan”
Aside from the expected jam-packed streets and malls due to the holiday season, ad on the freezing cold climate, Dai-Ichi gave us so much ease in our travels because of the Ryogoku/Oeno Station just 100 meters away from the hotel's lobby. Thank you!

In terms of location, this hotel is quite good. However, upon entering the room, there were multiple blood stain on the blankets and it continued to be that way throughout my stay.

Nice Hotel and easy access to the local subway.”
Room is clean and the view is great. Hotel is just next to Ryōgoku Station, Odeo Line. Hôtel to Airport juz need to change one line n you can hit straight to airport. Very convenient for DIY Tokyo trip travellers.

Rooms could use maintenance”
I've stayed at the hotel several times over the years as it is pretty good value for money and for me the location is fine (access either by JR or subway). Having selected a "premium" room I do have to say I was disappointed with the condition - not just because it is showing wear, but the cupboard doors for the teacups/glasses and fridge were coming off - simple little things like that are easy to fix, and would have been like that for a while. Also note, the air conditioning is centrally controlled - being winter it was on heating and getting the room cool is difficult.

the 3 single beds room is infact an add-on bed. In that case its obviously not a 3 single bed room as claimed. The description should be made more clear on this as my fd complained the room chose is too small (which will as its just a twin room)

Decent hotel , small rooms ”
Hotel is fairly big and located near the Toei Odeo Line ( Exit A1) - just 50 steps away. However, the hotel is situated far from the city area ( Shibuya/ Shinjuku). The staff are not conversant in English , though they tried their best. There is no room safe. The hotel however, has safes behind the front desk, which you can utilise. The staff are helpful . The hotel is a good neighbour affiliate of Disney Resort so there is a free shuttle to and fro Disney- do remember to make reservations. There is a convenience store just across the hotel front entrance. If you do not mind the distance from the City Centre, this is a decent hotel.
