Just okay ”
Okay, but still a little pricey for what you get. Place is old but it has been updated. Could use some cosmetic work. Pros: good location and clean. Cons: breakfast only served until 9am, microwave didn't work in room.

Stayed one night with my boyfriend and our couple friends. When we got there at 3 (an hour before our check in time) the front desk worker was very disheveled with about 2 other groups inside. So I understand the worker was probably doing his best and started getting overwhelmed with the checkin crowd but that means the hotel needs to assign more workers to an obviously busy time frame. At checkin we also saw a handwritten sign taped on the counter saying the pool was out of order. I was pretty upset about that, I booked this hotel specifically for the pool and the location and I was even more upset when I woke up the next morning and the pool had been opened. So yeah kind of sucked. The staff during checkout were very nice though, three women.

1st I had requested a room on bottom floor for someone with back problems that couldn’t walk the stairs. Did this 2 1/2 weeks prior to our stay. They put us in the farthest room possible away from parking lot, in the last room there was on that row, which happened to be right up against a bunch of high brush and some kind of industrial thing. Night front desk clerk was less than pleasant. I won’t even go into that unpleasant situation. Room stunk, and they don’t clean nightly, just when you leave…really? In a sandy environment, this is something much needed. Very little parking on side where we were placed. Honestly, the front desk staff set the tone upon checkout. But that night manager doesn’t need to be in the hospitality/service industry. This wasn’t a cheap motel, in fact I changed my reservations to stay at this “nicer” place. While the location was good for us, right around the corner from beach access 1A, that was about the only thing nice I can say about it and I’m not too difficult to please. I definitely won’t ever stay there again!

This was our first time to Port A and we loved it! This hotel is located away from the busy so it was peaceful. We loved the hot tub. Our room was spacious, beds were comfy, and staff was helpful. The AC didn’t work well and the room was clean enough but could have been cleaner. Overall we had a great stay and would stay here again!

Pros: hot tub, close to beach, big rooms Cons: staff is rude, no early check in nor late check out, they count everything towels ect, small bfast no decaf coffee
