Affordable option in good location but...”

I would’ve sacrificed location for a better hotel. The air conditioning didn’t work and when I asked the front desk about it, they told me to open the window. No explanation or apology. I also asked them if they could help me call a restaurant to make a reservation and they said they couldn’t do that for me. So then I asked what the proper way to dial the restaurant from my room phone would be and they wrote a number down and said if this doesn’t work then “I don’t know. That’s it.” At that point I realized the kind of hotel I’ve booked and they are fully aware they are a budget hotel and do not have to perform above satisfactory for their guests. Back to the no AC thing— opening the window helps but you got loud, drunk people walking around pretty much nightly until 5am. I spent 600 yen for 2 pairs of earplugs which helped but next time I would definitely just pick a hotel in a less central, quieter location (which would probably be cheaper or about the same) and take the metro more.

Great location”

This Hotel is conveniently located between the JR Shimbashi station and the Metro Ginza station. Although rooms are kind of dated, it has everything that you will need for a trip and rooms are generally clean with a air purifier in every room. Shopping just round the corner and many good food in the vicinity.

Good hotel with all the normal facilities”

good hotel except a little small.... but is reasonable for the price... helpful staff... just travel north from the hotel and walk through ginza main street... further northwest and u can see the imperal palace...

Nice hotel with a great location”

Hotel is very conveniently located with many good restaurants around the area. It is also centrally located right next to the Ginza area, great for shopping. Also just a couple of stops away from the Tsukiji fish market for those interested. Many top class restaurants near the Shimbashi station. Room is a little more spacious than most other hotels in Tokyo. It also has complimentary wifi in the room. The only downside is that it has no breakfast facilities.

Walking distance to Tsukiji Fishmarket”

We chose this place specifically because it was close to a JR station as well as walking distance to Tsukiji Fishmarket. We always try to get the 5am sushi at the fishmarket and it's often pricey to get a cab. So we walk! It's about 15 min walk. Convenient location, staff is friendly. But this is typical Tokyo hotel... very small! The room is basically the bed and a wardrobe. We didn't really have space to open our large luggages. But we've experienced Japan before and were prepared for the cramped quarters. It's a good hotel for just a few nights stay. I wouldn't stay longer. Beds and pillows are quite hard.

Smelly And Old”

A hotel is pretty far from a station and not easy to access. The hotel is very old. It looks like more than 40 years old. A room was very smelly. The smell is not only because of cigarettes but also of the old facility. This caused me to have headache soon after checking in. So I had to check out around 30 mins after checking in. I want to complain to Agoda. Agoda website did not show the room was a smoking room clearly . And due to the policy, the hotel cannot refund any money although I did not do anything in the room. This is the worst experience to stay in hotels

Good location in Ginza and Shinbashi”

This Hotel has a great location. Close to Shinbashi station and in Ginza area. Many restaurants, bars, pubs, shops around this hotel. I dont really like from this Hotel is too noisy in midnight time. I think it is because of the location. Others are good enough.

Tokyo Accommodation”

Basic hotel equipped with necessities such as toilet amenities etc. The room is really very small (probably more pathetic than shoebox) but for the price, it makes an excellent choice for stay in Tokyo especially if you're visiting Tsukiji Fish Market, shopping street and wanted close proximity to JR station (if using JR Pass). If running around for sightseeing then there's no need for luxury stay, this makes economical shelter in an expensive city.

It was ok, but disappointed that there are no English channels on TV. Staff are also ok but could be encouraged to smile more. The location is a major plus. I went to Big Sight so this area is accessible with just one train ride on the Yurikamome line. Plenty of good restaurants to choose from, varying prices. There are food marts nearby, and it's just two blocks or so from major stores on Ginza. Don Quixote is also nearby, same with some golf shops. My stay was pretty straightforward, you basically just sleep and enjoy the city outside. The bed was quite hard though, but I liked the pillows that were provided.

CENTRALLY LOCATED AND CLEAN”

Centrally located, walking distance to train station. Room is clean, housekeeping is good. The downside is the air con does not work, it was very hot in the room. Front desk speaks very little english and it took 10 mins for them to understand that the air con does not work in the room. They just gave us a fan to use. This is the only thing they will lose points on.

No fuss hotel located near shinbashi station”

Stayed here for a night before heading towards Kyoto. Great that it's near Shinagawa stat. Located near Shinbashi stat (5 mins walk), this hotel can be used as a convenient base to explore the nearby attractions by cycling (Tsukiji fish market, Ginza area, Tokyo Bay, Tokyo tower etc.) A clean and simple hotel with helpful staff. Overall, a reasonably priced hotel for the no fuss traveler.

Great location, comfortable atmosphere”

The location is great, close to many major tourist attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful and thoughtful. As the hotel shares the building with other companies (restaurant, karaoke...), and thus the lobby is not on the ground floor, you are able to get in and out of your room without having to bypass the front desk or give them your room key each timee you leave the hotel. There was a rare sense of privacy that I had at this hotel that I really enjoyed. I would stay here again.

Ginza Kokusai Hotel is a lovely and clean hotel, the price is reasonable, the service is very good. The environment is also nice.the location is Near the station, near the shopping place, and restaurants everywhere.

Best Location”

the room space is bigger than what we thought and we really like its location since it's walking distance around the subway station which it save us much time for traveling and nearby supermarket providing the convenience of food, fruit or drink shopping. We highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for good C/P hotel.

For a short stay in Tokyo Ginza International Hotel was quite comfortable.”

The motel was clean and tidy but the floor we were on smelled of smoke. Unfortunately there were no non-smoking rooms available. The room didn't smell of smoke but the smell was very strong in the hallway. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful and the room was just big enough for the 2 of us.

I really liked the hotel location. The room was a bit small, but it worked well for touring around the city and going back to sleep. Hotel staff were friendly.
