My First Choice when visiting Tokyo”
I love this traditional hotel. Super great location(right in the heart of Tokyo) easy access to everywhere. My priority is the size of the room(over 30m2), which is harder to find in Tokyo. Porters, hotel reception, and even cleaning staff are very well trained and polite as the 5 starts hotel. Many great restaurants near by also the restaurants of the hotel's as well. I enjoy having breakfast/ lunch buffet/afternoon tea while enjoying the view of Japanese garden.

First Class Accommodation ”
From Check In to Check Out, a 5 star experience. Beside the multiple in hotel restaurants, the Otani is walking distance to many restaurants & close to Church as well. Japanese Garden on the grounds is expansive & breathtaking. At no cost I joined the Otani club, which gave us an immediate $10/person/day discount on the buffet breakfasts. Door to door transportation to the Narita & Haneda via low cost shuttle bus. Cannot recall a better hotel in my 30 years of international travel.

Excellent hotel in an excellent central location with easy subway access. Top quality staff with an excellent command of English. We stayed twice and on each occasion we were upgraded so there value for money was exceptional, The hotel's Japanese garden is a truly unique bonus

Good for Muslim traveller”
We told them in advance about our food restrictions and they accommodate all of it. Staff, locations and facilities were all superb. Travelled with young child while pregnant for 37weeks, everything went smoothly. Definitely going back!

staff are friendly, hotel is so clean one could dine on any floor. Floor designations a bit confusing as some dont match up with room numbers ie room 4611 is on the 22nd floor. No seating inside or outside the tour bus gathering area, no washrooms in this area either. For the elderly, or ladies with high heels(me), this would have been appreciated.

Excellent service, facilities and room. It's worth noting that it can be easier to get to and from the hotel via the Garden Tower if you're using the subway system.

Excellent Customer Service”
This is my second review - for the same trip. I stayed for 3 nights when I arrived to Japan and my experience was less than satisfactory. The room I had was small, old, and quite dingy for what I was used to having at previous New Otani stays. I requested to be moved and the staff at that time did little to help. HOWEVER, I returned the following week for my final 2 nights in Japan and had a very different experience. First, the room was much, much better. Not sure if that was intentional. My first night, someone moved in next door who was extremely disruptive - constantly shouting and slamming doors. Hotel staff were trying to help him several times. This went on all night. Next morning, I asked if he would be checking out and they said no, then a manager came out to apologize and had already arranged for me to move to an upgrade. They moved me to the club floor to an amazing room and left a small gift basket with a personal note to apologize. Incredible customer service.

Honeymoon Stay”
My husband and I had a lovely stay here on our honeymoon in Japan! The staff were ever so polite and very sweet. Coming in to the wide, sweeping halls with white-gloved attendants was very refreshing. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with beautiful interior design and lush green gardens surrounding it. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest train station, or you can have them call you a cab. Our only disappointment was that we booked this luxurious hotel because it was our honeymoon. I did mention it before arrival as instructed but we heard nothing, not even a quick "Congratulations" or a smile. Upon our check-out about a week later, the concierge saw my name and reached behind the desk for a fake small rose in a plastic box. She said they had meant to give it to us when we arrived... but they forgot I guess. Hm. Our honeymoon was over at that point and everything was tightly packed up, so the fake flower sadly went straight into the bottom of my carry-on :( A bit of a waste.
