Great Hotel with Friendly Staff and Convenient Location”
This was an older hotel but very well kept. I stayed with a girl friend of mine and the staff gave us a friendly welcome and assisted us with all our queries in a friendly and timely fashion. Even though the back door leads to an alley of shady hostess clubs, the hotel itself felt very safe and the front entrance and streets surrounding felt safe to stroll in even at night. The location is close to many restaurants, a local supermarket that's great to shop at, and the famous don Quixote (though this location was smaller than the ones are shinjuku and shibuya).

A comfortable and relaxing stay at Hotel Parkside Tokyo Ueno”
My first time booking a hotel in Tokyo and it was beyond my expectations - Hotel Parkside Tokyo in Ueno. The hotel is about 5 mins walk away from Ueno station and right in front of Ueno Park and still witness some Sakura flowers. We arrived a bit early and the checkin time is around 2 PM so we have to leave our luggages and we can do early checkin and just pay later and get the keys. The staff are very proper, friendly and courteous. Around the hotel you have many food options and restaurants to eat. Vending machines are also located in and around the hotel. Upon checkin our room is standard room and still got enough space for us to move. The room is complete of amenities, toiletries and replenished everyday. It has air-conditioning and heater. The double bed and blanket are very comfortable. The tub is huge. The view is Ueno skyline which is spectacular at night. The internet is fast. TV channels are mostly local. Overall, very happy and I will definitely book this one again. :=)

Almost perfect ”
We spent a week in a small double room. Location is great - an easy walk to Ueno Station and Ueno Park. The concierge, Julia, speaks both English and Japanese fluently and was super helpful. The room was older but in good repair, nice view and very clean. I would have given 5 stars but for the internet, which was spotty throughout our stay. Breakfast is a good value! Laundry is seriously overpriced at the hotel but there is a laundromat a few blocks south (turn left at the McDonald’s), so we did our own. Lots of good restaurants nearby. All in all, staying here was a good choice and we’d stay here again next time we come to Tokyo.

Welcome return to Ueno Hotel Parkside”
Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are a little dated but clean and functional. Excellent buffet breakfast with many choices and courses to choose. Great bar and views from the top floor. Close to Keisei Ueno Station for Skyliner trains and JR/Metro Station, and Okachimachi and Yushima stations. Across the road from Ueno Park, Ueno Zoo, and many museums and other attractions. Busy nightlife and markets.

Very good and clean , close to the town, keisei line from the airport (Ueno) and opposite the park :) i love this place will be back again next time .

Very good stay”
We stayed here for 2 nights. Very convenient place with around 3 minutes to subway, JR & skyliner. We lived in a family room, very spacious. Will stay again if I come to Tokyo.

Very good in transportation. Close to Keisei Station, JR, subway. Easy to find. Close to many restaurants and convenient stores. Will definitely return!

Very convenient location near both Ameyoko and Ueno Park as well as different train stations. There's also a Don Quijote a couple of blocks away if you're running late on buying souvenirs. The only minor complaint I have is the lack of an electrical outlet near the bed.

Great hotel location”
Hotel in front the Uneo lake and Zoo. Plenty food around few 24hrs & girls bar entertainment. 15min walks to Uneo main station and others station. Hotel reception very helpful and have English spoken reception. Room small but really well maintained and comfortable.

Convenient location for runners and museum goers like me and everything is near the hotel. Love this hotel. Just one thing: staff needs welcoming expressions on their faces.

Brilliand location.”
This was my second visit. Their standard rooms are very small but who stays in their room for long when you are in Tokyo? Although the rooms are non smoking there is still a strong smell and also in the corridors. The hotel is within walking distance of the Skyliner station, the many shops and restaurants in Ueno and opposite the Shinobazu pond, zoo, shrines and museums.

I love the view”
I seriously love the window seat. I almost spend a night sit on the window's pane and doing people watching while enjoying a cup of hot tea. A simple but really nice experience for me. Next time i'd definitely gonna try stay there again just because i love the view from our room.

An Ok hotel. ”
It’s an old hotel but the rooms are quite spacious. We don’t open curtains because the other buildings are very near that they might see us inside our room so the room was very dim. Very few lights inside the room considering the size of it. The moment I came in, the stench of the toilet was disturbing so I just sprayed some fragrance to it. And after sometime, the stench just kinda disappeared. We didn’t have our room cleaned for 2 nights so they slipped a note under our door requesting us to have them clean our room. We let them clean the next 3 nights. They gave new water bottles, toiletries, clean towels and slippers every time they clean. There was one staff at the lobby who couldn’t understand english much but still tried hard to communicate which is good. Bed was soft, too! Tub was bigger than usual sizes in Japan. Spacious table where we worked a bit and a fridge that fit supplies for our 5 days stay. Wifi was also good. Location is near multiple train stations and near Ameyoko shopping. Do not pass through the back street at late nights because it’s full of drunk people and bars and ladies (you know what i mean). This part, i think, is part of the red light District. Pass through the front doors instead.

Very friendly and good services extended by staff of Hotel Parkside. Good location and renovated room was given and big enough for us. Overall very happy with the stay and lastly thanks for the small souvenirs!

We were very satisfied with the Hotel Parkside Tokyo. The staffs are kind and helpful. The room is spacious enough for our family and we got the room with Ueno park view - very nice. The location is great, there are several stations, including Ueno station, that are nearby making it easy to take the train to different destinations. We love Ameyoko market. We also like the Japanese bath room. It's a different way to take a bath. The soap, shampoo, and conditioner are luxurious. From Agoda, we got a good deal.
