Large bed, good WiFi, good breakfast ”
Typical budget hotels in Tokyo have tiny beds but this one is full sized. This makes a huge difference. Breakfast is better than usual. Good coffee!

Room Vert Clean and staff very nice. But location is little far walk from JR station, need around 10 mins.

Decent hotel in Ikebukuro”
It’s difficult to find a decent hotel for less than ¥4,000 a night in one of the major areas in Tokyo. Hotel Resol stands out for offering just that.

Cozy & convenient”
Short walking distance to the train station, route to hotel is very straight forward. Space is limited but room is cozy for 2 persons and able to open 2 luggages.

Good Location and Services”
only one thing not good enough was the check-out time so early (10am) and the check-in time is nearly 3pm. everything is good, will recommend friends and family to stay this hotel again

Clean, small and compact”
Just nice for 1 person and very compact especially the small table. I wish they can have a longer checkout like 11am or 12noon because their checkout time is 10am which is a bit early.

My husband and I have been to Japan many times, we have stayed in our share of small hotel rooms, but this one was the worst one. Imagine double bed parked against the wall (not complaining about this), less then one foot between the foot of the bed and the wall, then there's a bench that took up half of the length of the bed (awkward), the remaining length of the bed where you can seat one person have a very deep sunken spot (approx. 2 feet length x 1 foot width. Sure don't leave you with too much room to sleep on. Never have we experience such a terrible bed.

Location! ”
Location is great! A couple of mins walk from Higashi-Ikebukuro station and 10 mins walk from ikebukuro station. Just a block from the busy street between the station and Sunshine city where you can find restaurants and shopping. Rooms is clean, small like usual standard in Japan but I was able to lay my large + small suitcases on the floor. It’s just the lighting in the room is not bright enough. A got a very good deal with the breakfast included and it was great! I would come back and stay again.

New, clean, cozy”
The room I got was on the Ladies’ floor, very cozy and quiet, can hardly hear any other sound at night. Around 5 mins walk from Ikebukuro station (after you got familiarized with the station exits), and convenient store next to the hotel. Quite dark near the hotel at night but i didn’t see any drunkers so it should be pretty safe for single travellers.

The worst hotel ever in Japan”
This is our first time to visit Tokyo. We have been to Sapporo, Osaka, Fukuoka before. And I swear this hotel in Tokyo is the worst ever in Japan. The experience here was a nightmare and disappointed. 1. Staff here barely speak English and understand English. We called to front desk and asked for house keeping to be done at 1300 since we are going out late. The guy who picked up the phone interpret our request as late check out and start to explain. 2. On the night of check-in, we asked front desk whether they provided extra pillow or not. The lady simply replied "Sorry, we do not have". Though it is very strange that as a hotel they do not provide extra pillow for guest but we just don not want to argue with her. The next day we approached another lady and asked again. Guess what? She said they can provided to us and asked which type do we want. So what's the point of saying no at the first night? 3. We asked for bottled water since the house keeping lady did not provided to us on the 3rd day. The front desk lady replied "Sorry, because you choose to have the full house keeping, we are unable to give you water, that is the HOTEL POLICY". This is the first time ever I have heard a hotel declining guest using this kind of reason. But it is not over yet. The next day we choose to have the full house keeping again, and at night when we returned to our room, we saw 2 new bottled water placed in out room. How consistent it is. 4. The night before we check out. We asked the front desk guy about the transport to airport. Guess what did he do? He use his phone to showed us to Google map transport recommendation. Seriously? Google map? You think we do not know hot to use Google map to search? How professional their staff are. 5. The restaurant that provided breakfast is a totally scam. 1200 yen per people and they provided limited choices for guest. Plates are almost empty every time when we are trying to get some food. Choices are limited and no service are provided a

Great for sightseeing”
The Hotel is equipped with everything one needs even though the room are as usual not very large in Japan. The location is great, next to the sweet Minami Ikebukuro Park and both directions to Shinjuku and Ueno are easy to access by train. The price is very good for an accessable but not in the center area. By agoda I could not see which type of room I was choosing. It turned out to be a smookers room. Fortunately the staff was very kind and rebooked be a non-smoking room - that was great even though the Hotel was fully booked at the weekend. For pictures you need to check the japanese homepage, also good to check the room size. For a few days there was sufficient space for a small luggage, but if you have a big suitcase, you should better book a larger room.

Perfectly adequate and well located”
This hotel was in a great central location, within 10 minutes walk to 2 metro stations and the bustling centre of Ikebukuro. The room was small but for one person perfectly ok although I think 2 people would struggle. My only complaint, and I have seen the same thing mentioned in other reviews, is that the room lighting was very dark. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant next door very good for an evening meal but not very good for a western breakfast. Also quite expensive at ¥1,000. But overall, the hotel was very satisfactory and excellent value for money bearing in mind it’s locstion.
