Pros: location/ distance from the nearest train station, courteous staff, clean toilets/ shower area, complete amenities/ facilities Cons: Rooms are cramped and there’s hardly any room to move around or stow your stuff.

(+) Nice hostel, clean and very friendly staff. (+-) not the perfect location for sightseeing, but good public transport connection and nice area (-) very early checkout, which also means early cleaning (which is noisy, so you can not really sleep in without earplugs)

Great location with enough space ”

Our stay was great and we loved it. The only issue was the air-conditioning since we can't make it cooler as our room was sharing the same unit/system with the other rooms. They chose to warm up their rooms so we can't make ours cooler. It was so much warmer than what we would've liked.

Inexpensive, friendly place to spend a night.”

The hotel’s staff, kitchen and common room are great, and it’s in a perfect location to visit the Skytree (so beautiful at night) and close to the ever interesting Asakusa. Our room of bunk beds was super tiny though, so comfortable for sleeping but nothing else. Shared bathrooms and shower facilities are bright and clean. Coffee and tea are free round the clock if you wish to brew yourself a cup.

Great location, very clean”

Our room was absolutely tiny, only just enough room to stand in, but surprisingly comfortable! We had an end room which meant we could store our cases on the window sill, and have a little space to dress in. I don’t imagine the middle rooms had any space at all. The bathroom and toilet, while shared, were exceptionally clean, so we didn’t mind sharing. The rooms auto lock so not ideal if you forget your key when you pop to the loo in the middle of the night! Friendly feel, great location, and good WiFi. And the Thai restaurant next door is outstanding!

i am booking 2 night in single room, and that was nice room. maybe for some people the location is not too good, but for me who want quiet environment is good. the nearest station is oshiage skytree, that have direct connection to narita airport.

Very clean hostel, nice staff, great facilities. Loved the lounge&kitchen area, with plenty of space/seats and free tea, coffee and miso soup. Plus it's next to Skytree, I could even see it from my dorm window.

the hostel is just a minutes' walk from the oshiage station making. The room is small but tidy with a window facing to the skytree. The staff there were very kind and helpful. they could provid detailed information when asked. the communal place is new, clean and functional. you could do laundry on the first floor. I have a great time in this hostel and I will definitely choose it again the next time I travel in kyoto.

Convenient location”

Convenient location, near a station with direct access to the airport. Got a single room at a price lower than capsules elsewhere. Room had an old carpet smell, but other than that, everything was great.

the hotel was very good for the value, although shared bathroom it was very clean, check in time is until midnight, staff was very helpful, very near to SkyTree and the nearest station is direct access to Narita (and also Haneda cmiiw)

Best Value Hotel in Japan”

This is the best hostel I've stayed in my 7 day stay in Japan. Cheap, with all the needed amenities plus the unexpected amenities like free miso soup, free snacks sometimes and very accommodating staff! They also had free rental of umbrella, room slippers, towels and free coffee and tea. It was very very far from the JR station so you'll have to walk 20 mins or have to pay for the connecting train everytime you go out and come home. Other than that, it was perfect. The neighborhood was also nice and close to convenience stores.

Double room ”

For tokyo, this hostel was very cheap. We were satisfied with the facilities (small kitchen, fridge, common room) and the cleanliness. It is not located in shibuya, but the subway is just 3 min away. so is a 7/11 and next door is an excelent thai restaurant. Most importantly, the staff was amazing. They looked up all our connections, times and even gave us special tips on when to go to get the best tickets. We would highly recommend to stay here.

The best for price ”

Single room was excellent , it had a great view of Tokyo Skytree , I loved the location , also everything is new and clean , bathroom / toilet just outside room , lovely staff as well . I would highly recommend it

Average Hostel Experience”

Not awful, but nothing to write home about. Rooms were pretty cramped with little room for luggage. Also the key made noise unlocking the door so I felt bad every time I had to use the restroom during the night or when I got up early in the morning.

Clean and nice location”

It's about 10 minutes on foot from Oshiage station so skytree is near by. The hostel itself was really clean and new. Just a small thing but I had a trouble with the room door. We had to slide our finger on censor and tap on the key card due to unlock the door, but sometimes it didn't work which means I had to go down to see the receptionist. Other than that, everything was pretty awesome:)

Nice location and environment but smelly room”

The location is great,3mins walk from the metro.and it’s very close to the sky tree.the lobby is nice ,free tea ,water ,coffee and some small snacks.the washing room is clean .but the bedroom is too small,I can’t even open my suitcase.and it’s smelly too,because people take off shoes inside of the tiny room.i suggest that hostel shouldn’t allow guests take off shoes inside of the room.

The place is clean. I book the private room, so everything you need is in the room. Except that there’s only 2 shower rooms in one floor. It’ll be great if there’s more. Otherwise, everything is great. The lounge area is a great place to hang out to have your breakfast/lunch/dinner. They sell cute souvenirs as well. They provide very clear instructions on how to get there. Can be quite a distance but you can reach the hostel in less than 10 mins from oshiage station. Nearby to 7-11 and family mart. Otherwise, i really enjoy my stay here. I would definitely recommend the place. (:

The best hotel I stayed in Tokyo”

Perfect location because Oshiage Station exit B1 is just a few meters away, alongside 7-11 and Family Mart, and of course, Tokyo Skytree! Airport is directly accessible from the Oshiage Station. Shower room and washlets for each floor is good, complete with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner. Only concern is that the sink has no hot water, so it was quite a nightmare to brush my teeth during winter. Wifi was strong and reliable. Friendly and helpful staff. Ground floor kitchen, dining and laundry area is nice. Very clean facilities and surroundings. I will stay here again in my next visit to Tokyo.

About 7 mins walk from Oshiage station. Room is bigger than expected. Staff can speak English well. However, the toilet can be cleaner.

i had been in japan since 2015 and nowadays there is a bunch of new clean hostels around Tokyo, i think it because Tokyo Olympics 2020. this one located in great spot less than 10 mins walked from skytree "Asakusa" station. the hostel was super clean and the facilities like shower room and toilet has really clean and comfy. i would book again soon.
