Great Place to stay”
Good location, free shuttle bus between hotel and bear farm. Lovely staff and very comfortable room. First time trying Japanese traditional tatame and loved it. The room my friend and I stayed can hear water flowing and this sound was really helping deep sleeping. I really enjoyed this place and wishing stay one more night.

Superb services and Nice hotel with indoor and outdoor onsens.”
The staffs were friendly and attentive. They even cleaned up our baggage covered with snow. Nice location with just 2 mins walking distance from the hotel to the public bus station. The room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the stay throughout.

Very relax and comfy place”
Extraordinary service. Spacious room and food are great! Onsen is new experience to us, and very wonderful. Cannot expect more. Highly recommend for short stay to refresh the mind, and heal the tired body.

Very neat ryokan for traditional stay!”
Hotel is a bit small, but very neat clean and full with amazing staffs. I had very good experience staying at their hotel and onsen. It is a bit small compare to newer hotel, but their location is very close to every major attractions in Noboribetsu onsen. I would reccomend this place and definitely come back again if I visit Noboribetsu.

Nice experience in Onsen ryokan”
The first feeling that hit us when we arrived is the nostalgic ryokan feel, with all the authentic and classic Japanese ryokan decoration, which really takes you away from the city life. The staffs welcomed us in a very good service, and attended to all our request. The dinner and breakfast is one of the most delicious meal we had in this Japan trip. All the details in the food are just so superb! The bed and room is very comfortable as well, which made us sleep soundly. :) the one and only drawback probably is the ryokan is quite old, so the toilet or room may look not very clean. But they are up to the standard that we expect :)

Good Traditional Stay”
Managed to enjoy onsen alone since the Ryokan not crowded with tourists. The Kaiseki dinner was great, both dinner (latest timing 8pm) and Bkfast ( latest timing 7.45am) served in our room.

Nice staff and nice location ”
The hotel is right next to the hell valley. The hot spring bath was reasonable sized and the room size was ok. Pros: friendly staff, good enough English, valet parking service Cons: the spray bits of the toilet seat was not quite clean as I could see visible mould and the toilet room is a bit old.

Great location but old”
Great location but quite old. About 200 ft from the bus stop. Staff is very helpful and courteous. One thing I like to mention, when we arrived, there were several matured petite ladies assisting guests with a trolley to help carry luggage to their rooms. I noticed one of the petite lady hauled the heavy luggage from the doorway into the room for a young couple. My heart went out to her. I just want to advise future guests to help with your own luggage. The onsen is great but I wish the lighting is brighter. One day we slept late, front desk called and informed us the cleaning crew needs to clean the room. I said ok and thought they will come in after we leave but not too long after another call asking how much more time we need. I haven't been to a hotel that ask guest to leave so they can clean the room.

Great but pricey!”
Room was clean and service was good. However, price was on the high side, would expect more for the price I paid. onsen area was alright but a bit old. Other than that, great stay in general!

Meals were exceptional. Onsen was nice and not crowded during our stay. Room was neat and clean, with friendly staff. Free car parking as well.

The facility is very traditional, a bit outdated in today’s standard. Also, as the cleaning takes place daily, there can be a chance you can either experience indoor onsen or outdoor onsen rather than both. It is a place to go if you are satisfied with traditional Japanese onsen experience

Ryokan hospitality at its best!”
It was our first onsen experience and we did not regret making a last minute decision to stay in noboribetsu overnight. It was also during low season so we had the place all to ourselves! We opted for the Kaiseki breakfast after we had a morning hike to the onsen source and foot bath (which is very near to the hotel by the way). The hotel is also tolerant with guests with tattoos, I have a half sleeve tattoo and they advised me to either cover the tattoo or use the facility later in the evening when there are no other guests around (a roll of kt tape did the trick!) Their staff spoke good english too! Overall it was an amazing experience in noboribetsu, I can only imagine the colors of winter/spring/autumn would bring to this lovely place - i wish to come back and stay again in Oyado Kiyomizuya.

Amazing experience ”
This is a must do if you are traveling to Hokkaido; the experience was simply amazing and hospitality offered to us were top notch though they speak minimal English. We landed at the New Chitose airport, and took a Donan direct bus to Noboribetsu (¥1400 per person). We were stopped at the Noboribetsu bus stop, and the ryokan is approx 15 mins walk. We checked in quite swiftly and were taken to our room. Room came with heater, and a ‘space’ which was supposedly our dining and also sleeping area. Our room also came with another small bedroom with 2 single beds but we opted to sleep at the other room on the tatami. Everything we needed for the “bath” was provided to us in the room. We were served 2 meals (dinner & breakfast). The food was delicious and very traditional! We enjoyed every single element of it. The public bath is open 24 hours, except between 9- 9:30pm whereby it’s closed for cleaning. This ryokan also has an outdoor bath which I strongly urge for anyone to try it.

Nice, old-school relaxing onsen”
the service is good, as always. Place is a bit old and so are the rooms and facilities. But the food was awesome and onsen was great. We had a great time there.
