Good experience ”
First time travel to Japan, so I wanted to try Japan Ryokan and found this place. It was good experience. However this place is located on the hill, not recommended for someone with kids.

Loved our stay”
Staying at this Ryokan was amazing. Reminiscent of beautiful older homes in Japan with many beautiful features. Our room was so large and comfortable, the wifi and air conditioning worked well, the beds were comfortable. We had an excellent traditional breakfast on the day we were flying out. It is an older house so there is some wear to the building which I find charming, please do not judge this Ryokan to the ultramodern hotels, instead recognize that it incorporates elements of traditional Japan that are difficult to find. The staff were all so helpful and accommodating. We used the family traditional bath every day which was amazing to have a traditional sento available to us with hot hot water to soak in which helped us after long days in the summer heat. I would encourage folks to cab it with their luggage, the walk from nearest Kasuga station has a huge hill and no elevator. Also, you can request a cab for when you leave- do this a day in advance, same for bfast.

Friendly staffs and nice breakfast”
Everything is fine just a bit distance from the subway. We were with big luggage and the way to ryokan need to go uphill, a bit tiring for us. the breakfast was great and big portion.

I booked triple room. But the room I got is not same as photo. Price is reasonable since it is in Tokyo. But I don’t think I will go back there again.

Wonderful stay! Will stay again”
This was our first time in Japan and we were keen to try a more traditional Japanese inn. This exceeded all of our expectations and was a perfect introduction to a ryokan/traditional Japanese inn experience. The staff were extremely helpful and there was useful English signage all around. The breakfast was delicious. They were very kind to us with our young baby and made us feel very much at home. They have a family bathing room so that was very helpful too. The inn itself is beautiful and close to a couple of subway lines so we could go anywhere in the city. Would definitely stay here again!

A Traditional Ryokan - from a bygone era ”
Homeikan has an old-world charm that you can't replicate in modern hotels/guesthouses. The facilities are a bit 'old' but from a positive perspective, it's like going back decades in time. I really loved the fact that they put your name on traditional Japanese paper in front of your room. It felt very personal and warm . In terms of location, if you have a lot of luggage, you should take a cab/Uber. Luckily, I packed light and only had a carry-on luggage, so I just walked up the hill. If you have kids and large suitcases, get ready for a work-out and some pain. Homeikan is not too far away from Kasuga Station (5-10 min. walk). Overall, Homeikan has a lot of charm, but it can improve in certain ways. When I was served breakfast, the hostess didn't wait for my reply and just opened my door. Luckily, I was wearing clothes! When she came back to pick up the kitchenware, she didn't knock again either : | The breakfast is a mix of Western and Japanese cuisine.

Great stay with absolutely the best staff I’ve ever experienced.”
Pros: the staff were absolutely wonderful. Smiling and inviting. Very good English and immediately responded to any request. The property is beautifully maintained, albeit a bit worn, but just adds to the charm of the place. Location is off the beaten path. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Still, only a short walk to subway and public transport. Cons: not many! The only small dings would be that the breakfasts, while beautifully presented, were cold by the time we got them. The miso and tea were the only items still hot. A suggestion would be a reservation schedule for the “family/private” bath. It would save repeated trips up and down stairs to check if it is available.

Vieux Ryokan avec son charme”
Personnellement, j'ai beaucoup aimé mon second passage dans ce Ryokan qui a son charme. Calme, accueil sympathique, un peu excentré mais qui du coup le situe dans un quartier résidentiel sympa.

開心的日本行”
由於適逢周末天氣下雨，鞋子在外有所浸水，旅館服務人員貼心的幫忙塞報紙吸水，讓旅客隔天可以享受到乾爽的鞋子能穿，服務上也很不錯，早餐很日式，雖然稍嫌遠離地鐵站且須要爬坡，但旅館氣氛很好。

제가 숙박했던 곳은 별관인것 같은데 탕이 굉장히 좁은 것 하나 빼고 나머지는 전부 좋았습니다.

직원분들이 굉장히 친절하고 오래된 건물치고 깨끗하다. 비데없으면 안되는 분들은 별관으로 상관없으면 본관, 아넥스 이용하면 된다. 도쿄메트로를 이용하다보니 역이동에 조금 시간이걸려 위치에서 별하나를 제외시켰지만 카스가역을 이용한다면 위치도 그렇게 나쁘지않은듯. 가성비가 뛰어난 료칸을 체험하고싶다면 강추

전통을 맛 볼 수 있는”
도쿄에서 일본 전통의 다다미방을 체험하고 싶은 분에게는 강력 추천합니다. 본관과 별관(?)이 있는데 4박 5일동안 3박은 별관 1박은 본관에서 했습니다. 직원분들의 서비스는 제가 다녀본 10개국 중(일본포함) 가장 대우받고 존중받는 느낌을 받았습니다. 신발도 늘 준비해 주시고 외출이나 퇴실할때는 늘 따뜻하게 인사해 주시는 느낌은 마치 집에서 외출하는 느낌 이상의 따뜻함을 받았습니다. 시설은 별관이 훨씬 현대식인거 같습니다. 모든 화장실에 비데가 설치되어 있었고 가족목욕탕은 누구나 편안하게 쉬면서 목욕을 즐길 수 있었습니다. 본관은 조금 더 일본스러운 느낌은 있었지만 화장실은 밖에 있는 공중 화장실 정도 느낌에 비데는 없습니다. 공동 목욕탕은 80년대 한국의 느낌이랄까? 전체적으로 일반 비즈니스 호텔(맥주 자판기-료카에는 맥주 1종류에 크기별로만 구입 가능, 부대시설)에 비해 열악하지만 전통적인 느낌을 물씬 느낄 수 있는 곳이였습니다.

처음에 간 이유가 럽샤인 성지이기도 해서 갔는데 길찾는데 조금 많이 복잡했지만 직원분들이 정말 친절하셨고 일본풍의 방을 느끼기에 너무 좋았습니다. 가장 좋았던건 직원분들이 너무 친절 하셨습니다.

실수로 체크아웃 시간보다 5분 늦었는데 문 싹 잠겨있고 너무 무서워서 도와달라고 막.. ㅋㅋ그러나 아무도 안나오고.. 거기서 숙박하시던 분이 나와서 영어로 친구에게 샬라샬라 해서 들어갔습니다 시설은 좋은데 화장실이 일본은 다 그런지 모르겠지만 좀 그렇습니다(공용 목욕탕은 너무 좋아여) 새볔에 일어났는데 주인아주머니 다 깨어계시구 막 가기전에 사진도 찍어 주셨어여 ㅎㅎㅎ 저는 좋았습니다
