I wanted to make a suggestion for improvement to the manager, to get an iron and an ironing board. Very helpful to get rid of the creases in your shirts. I asked for his email address, but this was refused. Why? Communications helps improvement - but only if you care ....

If you think is just another hostel concept , u are wrong. This is a standalone building which give you a Japanese experience in public bath and spa with sauna . The key thing for capsule is utilise the facilities and get great location at affordable pricing . Do note that their elderly are Super regular there while some stay there just for business purposes. If you want to enjoy Japan . I think staying in such accommodation is a package

Good value, good amenities”

The ability to book a lower capsule specifically is what got me to give a capsule hotel a try. There is plenty of English signage and the staff speak English as well. The capsule is spacious enough for comfortable sleeping, and has a plug so you can charge devices. The communal shower and bath in the basement is quite nice, and far superior to the tiny showers found in budget hotels (if you are comfortable with communal bathing)

Location wise is great as its very near JR Ueno station. Lots of shops around for food, Ameyokocho is nearby too. Their bath and spa is clean and good place to have a good bath and relax. Capsule is standard. Overall a pleasant stay.

Location : Good. In Ueno station, head to Exit 5 or Central Gate. The hotel is 2 blocks behind the OIOI Mall. 3 mins walk. Power supply in provided in the capsule. Staff speak almost no English. Public open shower is at basement 1 and access from Floor 2. Step to check in: 1. Store your shoe in shoe locker at Floor 1. Take the key to receiptionist at Floor 2. 2. Exchange your shoe locker with the capsule key. Store your big luggage at the reception and put your smaller bag at the Locker at Floor 2. 3. Remember your capsule key no. You will need to exchange it with your shoe locker key when you go out.

The staff speaks very little english, but somehow we managed to understand each other and have a good relationaship. Everyone was polite to me, including the other japanese clients, who are very respectful people. The experience of sleeping in a capsule hotel for the first time was extremely enjoyable. The only trouble I might have had was that I would have preferred that the capsule was just a little longer (I'm 1.85 cm tall) so that I could extend without my feet bumping into the curtain. Otherwise, they provide you with everything you need, such as pajamas and towels, to all the necessary toiletry from soap to shaving foam, razors, hair spray etc. I would definitely come back here, as it had a great value for money and simply provides me with all I need. I would recommend the place to you if you seek simply for a place to sleep, store your belongings and access public bath. Also, you must be okay with public showers/baths and sleeping with little sound isolation (only a curtain isolates your capsule from the corridor, but don't worry too much, everyone is respectful and is very silent in this hotel).

This hotel is not very clean and old. The capsule was hot because the blower was not working. The plus point is that the hotel is very near the Train Station (Ueno) and there are many restaurants around the hotel. Also the hotel provides free wifi. The price however is cheap. I will rate 2/10 for my stay here.

I enjoyed my night at the Capsule and Sauna Century really much! The experience to sleep in a capsule was wonderful, I had my own TV and free razor, toothbrush, pyjama, two towels, free use of sauna and showers, relaxing high-class chairs in the lobby with 46" TV. The price was very economical, yet the experience to sleep in a capsule is already worth trying!

Skeptical at first but in the end I enjoyed to the max . The facilities is awesome . My Friend who choose to stay in hotel get envy of my choice of staying in capsule . Everything is provided . Good

Great rooms. Breakfast is good. Best thing is very near to okachimachi station, just 100 - 150 m from station. Near by many good restaurant and shop, busy street.

Like sleeping in a cigarette”

This was a pretty awful stay. The entire hotel smells like cigarette smoke, even the sleeping area where smoking is not allowed. There is a common lounge where smoking is allowed, and somehow the ventilation system takes that smoke and blows it through the rest of the hotel. Here's how bad it is: when I reached my next destination, I went to change my clothes, and all my freshly laundered clothes that were inside my backpack reeked of cigarettes. I think you would need to be a heavy smoker to not be bothered here. Staff was courteous, and the wifi is fast. There are vending machines, and snacks for sale. Massage service is also available.
