Room with a great view”
Relaxing stay, room was on the small side. Had some problems with the heating as it was a central timed heater but John was prompt and got us an electric heater upon my request.

The room was very good (a little noisy being on the main road) - spotless, and the staff very friendly. However, there was no shampoo / conditioner, and the bedding felt tired - I would have hoped for pillows that were feather, etc. and a fresher feeling duvet. The first breakfast (continental) was very good. For the second, however, there were a number of problems. There was a young girl in charge, and she appeared inexperienced. There were no plates out, only bowls, so people were having to put their toast in a bowl. I had to ask for butter as there was none out, and there were no serving utensils for the cheese, cold meat, etc. so people were having to use their fingers. I appreciate that this may have been an aberration, but at the price I paid for my room, with breakfast charged on top, it was a disappointment.
