I had a hard time deciding between Alona and Tawala, but I chose Tawala because it's newer and cleaner. The facilities are very clean and the staff is friendly. They greet you every time you make eye contact. The building is in an 'M' shape and surrounds the swimming pool, so I thought the view wasn't great, but during the day, the shadows made it much cooler and more comfortable to swim. On the other hand, Alona has an artistic view, but it's exposed to the sun. The water was heated and hot... It's also nice to walk around the resort and visit Alona Beach. By the way, they don't rent knives for fruit at the hotel, so be aware that they charge 100 pesos to leave it at the restaurant. Also, applying for airport pickup was a little cheaper than applying to the company in Korea. It's 400 pesos round trip per person.

2 Henanns”
I originally booked a deluxe room at Henann Tawala and saw that there were villas available so I tried to upgrade upon check in. Unfortunately the villas were located at Henann Alona so they were unable to acquiesce my request. They did offer me a premiere room with direct pool access which I inclined. The room was beautiful, modern and contained lots of light. The resort itself was clean and equipped with the most attentive staff. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options. ₽550 for non hotel guests is a steal. I treated my aunts and uncles and with their senior citizen discounts I paid less than ₽2000 for 5 of them. It rained for the first part of our stay which contained us to the pool. The beach is only a short walk but we didn’t feel like venturing out in the deluge. The pool was perfect. At night it gets a bit chilly tho. All in all Henann is the perfect resort if you want to stay in the middle of the busy city.

Would come back to Tawala”
I was very satisfied with my stay at Tawala Resort after considering between Alona and Tawala. The staff were very friendly and the location was very convenient. If I had stayed in Alona, it would have been a bit noisy because there are many shops and music playing in front of the beach. However, Tawala was just right. Although the breakfast didn't have a lot of variety, it was good enough with basic bread and egg dishes, cereal, yogurt, salad, kimchi, kimchi pancake, and local dishes.

I stayed at this hotel from Monday to Thursday for 4 nights. As a family of 4, I booked 2 deluxe rooms. We were assigned rooms 621 and 623. The price per night was around 100,000 won (including breakfast). I also stayed at Henann Alona Beach Family Room for 2 nights earlier this year. I personally think Henann Tawala is better. The distance to the main entrance is shorter and the price is more affordable. * Deposit: 1,500 pesos per night. Deposit can be paid by credit card. If you don't have pesos, you can pay in dollars. They will give you a paper with the deposit amount, which you need to submit at check-out to get your money back. You can pay the deposit in dollars and get it back in dollars later. * Breakfast: 6-10am, 1st floor restaurant. Tell them your room number at the entrance and they will guide you to your seat. It's easiest to show them the paper with your room number on it. * Flooring: Tiles, no slippers inside the room. * Number of room keys: They provide 2 keys. One is always plugged in and the air conditioning is left on. * Towel exchange with towel card. * They say outside food is not allowed, but... * Currency exchange is available. * Check-in: 3pm, Check-out: 11am * There is a laundry drying rack on the balcony. There is also a table, so you can hang your clothes there. * Pool cleaning is done every morning. * No minibar (no snacks or drinks available for purchase) * Hairdryer is provided. * 2 umbrellas are available. * Pool hours: 8am-8:30pm. There is no separate restroom at the main pool. You have to use the restroom near the lobby. * Pool depth: Approximately 1.1-1.2 meters * No life jackets provided * The facilities at Alona Beach are available for use, but you have to exchange towels at the Tawala Resort pool. The main pool at Henann Alona Beach is not available for use. * The internet speed is fast. The username is your room number and the password is the English last name of the person who made the reservation. There seems to be a limit on the number of devices that can connect to the internet. If you try to connect with too many devices, it will say that the maximum number has been reached and you won't be able to connect with any more devices.

Really kind”
Booked here because Henann Alona Beach was full, but the staff were really friendly and kind. The swimming pool was not crowded, so it was nice to play with each other. The breakfast was good, the bathroom was nice, and the staff were good. The location is also good. However, the room service food was not that great... It didn't taste good. Maybe it's because Filipino food doesn't suit my taste. Especially during happy hour, the pool bar offers a 1+1 deal on drinks and alcohol, which is really nice. You can drink without limit. The drinks were also good. The pizza we had here was perfect as a snack.

The restaurant is the best place to eat in the entire country, amazing food, underpriced for what you get. The pools are wonderful, staff is top notch. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. Great for family. We traveled with a family with young boys who had a blast. The beach is close enough, and the extra distance is a beautiful stroll, anyway.

First time at Hennan Tawala and all we can say is WOW. Great location, extremely clean rooms and grounds. Buffet breakfast was perfectly stocked. Housekeeping was in point and paid attention to detail. Can't wait to come back and stay longer.

The Staff were attentive and courteous. Quick response to Requests. Great Facilities. The place was always clean in fact, I have never seen any waste or trash sitting anywhere during our stay. However the food I’ve ordered did not go well than expected, the chicken from the Chicken Nasi Goreng was a bit dry. But overall, had a wonderful time staying at Hennan Tawala and will surely return back.

Great place to stay near Alona Beach, Bohol”
Henann still one of the best resort to stay. Accessible to main road yet with an access going to Alona Beach. The place is clean and complete with amenities. Staff are approachable, attentive, and friendly. Our room is spacious, clean, and with Balcony. Buffet breakfast also is superb. The swimming pool also is huge where you family and friend can enjoy! We'll stay here when we return to Bohol.

Not beachfront but lovely ”
I booked Tawala as it was a little cheaper than the beachfront resort but when we arrived we were very happy with the hotel and it's location. It's a short walk through the hotel grounds to the beach which is great but there are lots of touts and it's quite busy. Tawala by contrast is quiet and the pool area is fabulous. There is plenty of room for serious swimming and lots of sunbeds. The pool cafe/bar is beautiful and the food and drink are good quality and excellent value. The hotel being new was clean and though we had a basic room it was spacious and very comfortable. We had a slight problem with the shower which was fixed immediately. Only complaint was the sound on the TV was hopeless but who needs TV in such a wonderful place.

It is worth it”
If you have a budget for it, it is truly a nice experience to stay at this hotel. The facilities are great and the staff is wonderful. During my stay May 3, 2022, there was no one using the pool so I had it all to myself. A great way to play with my gopro camera above and underwater. The free breakfast buffet that came with the reservation was good and the staff were very diligent in cleaning up your table when you are ready to get more food. If the room you get does not come with the free breakfast and you really don't eat that much, it is best to get breakfast somewhere else because for the price of 550.00 I don't think it is worth it. Some of the dishes were not really that great. Overall it was a great stay.

We were able to check-in early. I would highly recommend staying at there pool access rooms, we had a great view of the garden and the pool (room 109). Friendly and attentive staff, very clean, breakfast was amazing, spacious room and close to everything you’ll need (shops, laundry, jollibee😊, cafes, money xchange etc). They have a swim up bar for your swimming and cocktail needs, happy hour is a bonus. 3mins walk to Alona Beach. We had such an amazing stay. Definitely coming back.

I travelled with my elderly relatives and we had a great time with our stay at Hennan Tawala Resort Bohol. The facilities and cleanliness were up to good standards and all the staff especially at the front desk (Crystal and Hannah) were so lovely and kindly helped us with our special requests!
