After travelling around 46 prefectures, I can say that this is the best guesthouse I have stayed. Amazingly friendly staff, totally clean, a really beautiful house, incredibly confortable and with great services. I totally recommend this option, and I will surely come back!

good location and nice staff. Staff speak some English too. I saw some grill probably for rent as well.
in the night the room was cold. There is no warm mode AC only oil heater (stinky and bad for health). However, in summer this is not an issue.

- I’ve paid 3000 yen for 1 night, private room and got coupons worth 2000 yen to use in the are, not only Miyazaki town but close by Iya Valley too. Don’t tell it’s not best life deal? 😃 - Beautiful huge Japanese style house. living room is just enormous. kitchen is separate and as for Japanese standards it’s really big too. - close to train station and town centre with shops and restaurants - from station are regular trains to Iya valley. sadly, only express which means you have to pay for seat extra but it takes only 30 minutes to Iya valley so it’s not so expensive even with extra costs.
- I think they should change lockers on the doors to sth else. If someone doesn’t check just after arrival it might occur a situation when your lock is malfunctioning and you successfully lock your room but cannot open it. The staff is not in the house. they are in restaurant 15minutes away and they come right away if you have a problem but if you lock yourself out in the dead of the night then nobody can help you.

Disappointing”

The rooms were very noisy, you could hear every person staying at the house. Our neighbours woke up at 5am and with them everyone else. It wasn't possible to lock the room, and everytime we accessed the house the main door was also unlocked. Barbecue was broken, so description should be amended.
