Tradition Ryokan Experience”
The food was good and worth the price considering they include dinner and breakfast. It is close to the miyagawa morning market and old town Takayama. It is a far walk from the Takayama train station but a taxi only cost 880 yen and was a better choice than walking with luggage for 17 min. The staff are extremely friendly and show you how the place works and where you can find everything. The public and private onsens were amazing and so relaxing after a long day of traveling. There is also a massage chair in your room and near the public onsen in the relaxation area. The room is very spacious compared to many of the places we stayed elsewhere. We wish we had stayed for longer because we enjoyed it so much.

Best I ever stay”
We stay at the room with private onsen with combination of japanese and western style. Room was very nice. It has massage chair in the room plus many drinks inside the fridge for free and welcome snack. Staffs have very best of service mind. You will feel like you have best friend or family which will take care of you. Especially when I walk back from outside with snow on my back. One young man came with the brush and help me to brush all snow out of me. That is over expectation! From photos somehow look like old hotel but infact it's new clean with traditional japanese feeling. Definitely will stay there again!

We enjoyed a large room with a hot tub overlooking the beautiful Takayama. The service, food and cleanliness is exceptional. Our room was western Japanese which gave us the best comfort. Thanks to all of the staff who looked after us

Sweet and lovely”
This is our second visit to this hotel. We booked the Japanese western room with open air bath and it was the same sweet and lovely feeling as 2 years ago. We tried dinner this time and it was fantastic with a lot of variety. They hired some staff who spoke better English. Best onsen hotel we have ever stayed.

Excellent Japanese hospitality”
The staff were courteous and very friendly throughout our stay. Room size was generous and enough for four of us to move around without bumping into each other. The decor and bathroom facilities need some updating though. Also wished there was a private onsen option. The breakfast and dinner included were not served in the room but a private booth which was fine with us. The meals were delicious and had good variety.

Nice room especially for honeymoon couples like us, they have private onsen inside the room and their services also top 5. they have free shuttle to the station and they pick up us from station to the hotel without any request from us.That's really surprised us

Lovly hotel big rooms authentic Japanese helpful staff nice onsen. In proximity to walk in woods or the nice old village. I recommend tho the Japanese breakfast were not to my taste.

A pleasant stay”
Definitely a pleasant stay. Room is clean, comfortable and as described. Most staffs, especially the young girl who showed us the room, are very polite and friendly. Nice dinner and breakfast. A good place for relaxation. The only negative thing is that the young lady wearing glasses (with black frame) working in the front desk is not friendly. She did not seem to be happy and was impolite when our family wanted to leave our luggage in the hotel lobby for a half day when check out.

Fantastic views from the room with the rotenburo (outdoor bath). Room isn't as big as other ryokans, but has everything you need and the rotenburo is amazing. Just up the hill from the old street, with free parking
