My best onsen experience in Noyhern Kyushu. Delicious authentic Japanese Cuisine with local ingredients. Friendly and helpful staffs. Best valued hot spring hotel I have ever stayed. Highly recommended.

An excellent onsen for a weekend escape”
I loved and truly appreciated the exclusivity and privacy that Hinoharu Ryokan had to offer. The inn is small and intimate which seems like a family managed so the service was very personal and warm. There was a butler for each party upon check in to introduce all the facilities to me. Nozomi-san was my personal butler who she took care of my two meals each day. She was such a sweet lady and would patiently serve my meals and explained each course to me. Each party would have designated private dining room. The foods were delicious and different each day. The inn was small enough so the private onsen was always available at most of the time. The location was the best conveniently accessible to the scenic places and to the train/bus station in Yufuin. I highly recommend this place to family or couple.

Very good traditional onsen ryokan experience”
We had a very good traditional onsen ryokan experience here in 日の春旅館. Although it's a ryokan with history, every facility is well-maintained. The Japanese style room is cozy, staffs are very nice and hospitable, onsen is great. We had dinner and breakfast with New Year special menu which is amazingly beautiful. Will definitely recommend Hinoharu Ryokan if you plan to visit Yufuin.

The best hotel ever!!!!”
All staffs are kind and nice. Room was clean and most of all, 3 kinds of onsen were best and incredible. It was my first experience of Ryokan. Due to Hinoharu, i could get great memories. I will visit there one more time if i have chance. And Kaiseki ryori was really amazing. Actually, i do not like sasimi that much, but i ate them all. And the other menu was wonderful. Assistant also tried to say Korean. Even though, she was not fluent, but i was so delighted because of her kindness. Thank you again for the ryokan and staffs!!!

Excellent - highly recommend”
A little far to walk with big luggage as streets are overcrowded. However, location is great to walk nearby attractions. I loved everything about this place. Staffs were lovely, dinner course (mochi and tea after dinner in your room) and breakfast were superb, got to try yukata for the first time and public onsen was great! I went early in the morning so I had it all to myself. Highly recommend Hinoharu :)

Dinner and breakfast are delicious and good service”
My friend and i are so much enjoy the Japanese style breakfast and dinner. It was gorgeous and delicious. Every dish is like a art piece. The staffs are very nice and can communicate with simple english. The place is great and especially for the private room hot spring, it provided outdoor and indoor. I'm happy to recommend Hinoharu Ryokan to you!

Exceptional”
Very spacious room provided and really experienced the exclusivity of staying in a ryokan. The only downside to the room was that its shower was not entirely indoor and it was quite cold after each shower when the wind was blowing. The private hot spring bath in the room was very pretty, and the family bath which was even more spacious and also enables privacy with the option of locking the room. The place was a distance from the Yufuin Station, about 10-15 mins walk, but near the Yunotsubo Kaido, perfect for walking.

Perfect little hideaway”
Tucked 1 min away from the Main Street, the ryokan is both convenient and quiet. Food was delicious and staff was lovely. The onsen was pretty well run, it was clean, hot, organized and not crowded - offering both private baths and public bath options. Only complaint - meal time was early (6:30pm and 8:30pm early)....but great for clean living I guess! Rooms were nice and spacious and surprising quiet despite of wooden build. Overall - loved our stay, will recommend this to anyone!

This is in general a very good ryokan. If I have to pick something then I would say for such price I can expect a bit better food (it's good, but not great). Checkout time at 10 is also on the early side.

Cuty Ryokan”
You can tell that they put a lot of thought into every detail in this Ryokan. The design is simple but with lovely small flower arrangements everywhere. The taste of the food was exquisite... one of the best of all my kaiseki dinners so far. Only downside was that the location wasn't for me. Yufuin is lovely but really, really full of tourists.

Before arrival I am considering cancel this booking since the hotel is rather expensive. However, after my stay I believe it worth the price. The room are spacious. The family hot spring provide privacy to the family. The breakfast and dinner were also delicious! highly recommended

Family hotel like home”
It is a boutique Japanese hotel nested in a quiet corner adjacent to the main street of Yufuin. All shops and attractions are within walking distance. Both family and public hot springs in the hotel are of superb standard. Gourmet Japanese dinner and breakfast. The Japanese-style room was spacious and clean. The personal service of the attendant is meticulous and make you feel like at home. Unforgettable experience!

This is the best place that I have ever stayed in Japan. I booked a room of three with breakfast and dinner. The food is so delicious that you will never forget it. The room is spacious with a private onsen. The staff who serves us is so polite and helpful that I really miss her. If I go to Yufuin again , I will definitely choose this place because it will make my trip unforgettable.
