A Lovely Trip, Thanks to Lovely Staff.”

Hirosaki City Business Hotel Shinjuku is a pretty standard Japanese style low-end business hotel. Far cheaper than the ubiquitous Toyoko Inn, from which it is just across the road (both are slap-bang in front of Hirosaki Station), and nice enough. What made the hotel stand out was the lovely lady running the (family-owned) place. I arrived in town too late for any of the tourist info places to be open but she was happy to talk to me and help out with info that only a true local could give. She gave me an armful of free apples (Aomori's speciality) and pointed me to a bar/izakaya across the road (WaiWai) that had great local shochu and the best hotate-sashimi I've ever tasted. (Since, I've even seen it mentioned in Hirosaki City Guides.) Not sure the lady speaks any English, but I bet she'd do her best to help you out if you don't speak Japanese. So... Cheap, good location, great staff. What more d'you want?

Good cheap option close to station ”

Small little hotel very close to the station. Very friendly staff although little to no English was spoken. Bathroom might be a little tight for larger people, but room was clean and was everything I needed for the short time I was in town. Price was right. Note unlike the larger hotel chains the doors don’t auto-lock.

Excellent. The modular bathroom was a bit tight, but the room itself was spacious and well-lit. I would recommend a room on the west side of the hotel, as the east side faces a noisy large hotel a block away.

Right next to the station, adequate rooms”

Arrived on a very rainy day and was glad that the hotel is only about a minute from the station. I stayed in a Japanese style tatami room, which was fairly clean and had good basic facilities. They provide a low-key Japanese breakfast in the small lobby. Staff are friendly, although I would guess that most would not speak much English (I speak Japanese).

I would stay here again. Wifi worked well in the room, hot water in the shower, the location was near the station, but still quiet, and the staff were very kind to share with me an apple--a specialty of the region! 10/10

素泊まりでしたが、駅から近く利便性がいいです。とても優しいスタッフの方ばかりで、素泊まりなのに、名産のリンゴを朝ふるまっていただきました。とてもおいしくいただきました。

Personal súper amable, justo al lado de la estación con tiendas y restaurantes enfrente. Habitaciones cómodas por el precio que se paga.
