Highlight of Vietnam”
We had the most WONDERFUL time with Ly and his family at the Hoian Life Homestay. It was by far the nicest place we stayed during our 2 month trip of Vietnam. The rooms are modern, extremely clean, well serviced and most surprisingly for Vietnam, the shower not only works but also has hot water! Bliss!! The homestay itself was amazing, but what really made our trip was the hospitality Ly and his family showed us. We arrived at the bus stop at an early 6am, where Ly greeted us and chauffeured us to the homestay for an early check in. From there it only got better! We were greeted with huge smiles each morning at breakfast (which was delicious), and were offered maps and insider tips on what to do in the area. A massive change from the usually pushy staff who try to pressure you into buying this and that - Ly's family were genuinely just interested and helpful. We were even invited to dine with the family, and invited to a huge family reunion on Sunday afternoon, which was so much fun, and featured absolutely mouth-watering food. While not in the centre of town, the location is ideal, giving you more of an insight to the way the locals live. Free bicycle hire makes for an easy couple-of-minute ride into central Hoi An. All in all we could not have asked for anything more from the homestay itself, or the family who were willing to do whatever to make our stay as idillic as possible. An absolute 10/10! My favourite place so far”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hoi An Life Homestay. The family was very friendly, spoke good English and was very well informed about everything around Hoi An. The room was very spacious and came with a private bathroom, balcony, delicious breakfast, etc. Unlike most hotels, they charged very reasonable prices for both the room and all additional features (minibar, tours, free bicycles, motorbike rental) and at no moment did I feel pressured to take one of their offers. Quite the contrary, they really seemed committed to ensuring I would have the best possible experience, regardless of how much I would spend. Also; the tailor shop they recommended was very good. This homestay really made my experience in Hoi An, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone!

A home away from home”
My wife and I spent 5 nights at Hoi An Life Home-stay and we absolutely loved it. We originally booked the place for only three nights, but decided to stay an extra couple of nights because we liked it so much. We probably would have stayed even longer if our visa wasn't running out. We traveled the entire length of the country (from Hanoi to Saigon) and this was by far the best place we stayed. The family was super friendly and very attentive. They made us breakfast every morning and even dinner one of the nights. The home-stay is located in the surrounding local neighborhood about 15 minutes away from the main tourist center of the old city. This wasn't an issue though, since we had free use of two bicycles the entire time. The owner Ly was also very friendly and helped us organize a tour to the My Son ruins. We also rented a motorbike through him and it was super easy. I can't recommend this place enough. If you are heading the Hoi An, do yourself a favor and stay here!!

The perfect homestay ”
When we made our booking there were no photos of the place having a pool so we were pleasantly surprised when we turned up to see that they had a pool! The gentleman informed me it had just been built and they hadn't updated their photographs yet! The building itself is lovely and the rooms all look like they've been freshly painted and are very clean and nice and spacious. The family were very welcoming and friendly. And there is a big breakfast choice available which they cook you up fresh in the morning. The location is about a 25 min walk to the Old Town which is a little far but okay, however they do provide free bikes to help you get around. We used the bikes to cycle around the old town in the day and cycle to the beach which are both easily accessible by bicycle. We ended up staying 6 days as Hoi An is lovely and the accommodation was perfect.

Favourite guesthouse in Vietnam! ”
Stayed in October for five nights and absolutely loved it. The rooms were brand new, large with balcony and super clean. Free breakfast with wide selection every morning in the sunny courtyard. The family were super friendly and spoke good English, they helped us sort out a motorbike to travel ourselves to Hue via the Hai Van Pass sending our luggage ahead to the hotel and all for $20! We had a meal with the owner one evening which they prepared completely vegetarian for me and shared their homemade rice wine. There were free bicycles to use which in great condition and we used to go to the beach around 20mins cycle away or to the town centre/riverfront around 5min away by bike. This was by far our favourite guesthouse in Vietnam due to the value, massive rooms and mostly the brilliant family who looked after our every need. We will definitely stay here when we eventually return to Hoi An!

Hoi An Life is pretty far out of town, but the room was excellent and the house is lovely. I really enjoyed it as a break from the usual tiny hotel room or cramped dorms. The single room is massive.

Perfect for our family.”
Located halfway berween the beach and old town with a swimming pool, free push bikes and motorcycles for hire. This was the perfect base for us to enjoy hoi an for a week. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was tasty and eaten on the shady tables by the pool. The pool is lit up nicely at night and chilled drinks available on site. Lovely family run homestay. Thank you very much.

Excellent”
This homestay is by far the best we stayed in throughout our 2 months of travelling. Although the mother and father's (fathers is slightly better) English isn't that good they really really try their very best and if all else fails they ring their son up and allow you to speak to him. The family are very very friendly, offered us a free meal and even had a drink with us. The breakfast cooked by the mother is amazing!!! The son (I didn't ask names and really wish I had) was very accommodations always asking us if we wanted feeding and brought some fantastic sandwiches!! The free bikes with this homestay are a huge bonus. It is slightly out of the old town, but walk-able, however the added bonus of this was making it closer to the An Bang Beach. The room was very large and the bathroom had a bathtub which was something we hadn't come across on our travels. Very clean as well and the mini bar is so cheap that ours was about re-stocked every day!! There is some building work being done which did wake me up however the other guests we spoke to weren't affected so we guessed it was above our room however we booked an extra 4 nights (or there abouts) with this homestay, and stayed in the same room, which I believe says it all. Nothing but praise for this family. Thank you for allowing us into your home and making us feel very welcomed!

One of our best stays in Vietnam!”
This place rocks. The room was positively huge, massive bathroom too, big comfy bed, desk, two bedside tables, LAMPS, small luxuries you forget make a place so comfortable when travelling. Breakfast was amazing, the omelette was huge. the pool was clean and really nice (was too cold for us so we only used it once). The staff are SUPER helpful and kind. A real family vibe. We even had dinner there one night and it was delicious. Location is really cool! Tucked away from the main bustle, street food vendors nearby for cheap tasty food, great local cafes. If you need to get to town, the 20 min walk isn't too bad, or use the free bicycles and you're there in 5. Loved it and would stay again, in fact we booked an extra night during our stay we were so relaxed!

Really nice pool and breakfast area,really big clean rooms with all you need....(except kettle).Best thing is its motel style ,with outside access to most rooms,meaning no lobby or corridor shouters or door slammers....peace!.Price was a steal with pool and good breakfast !.....can't go wrong .....

Peaceful gentille hosts”
This guesthouse is on a quiet street with little traffic. You can hang around the lovely pool and have breakfast poolside too. Breakfast is a choice of pancakes, baguettes n eggs, or cheese, or jam. This place is run by a whole family of staff, mum,dad,son, grandchildren. The whole place makes you want to kickback and relax. It is a bit far from the old city, that’s what we like!, but with the included bikes it’s just perfect. We can explore, then swim n explore at night too. Our room is huge, it’s the family room with two king beds, a balcony and a big big bathroom. I was so thankful to find a great place here, because we had planned on a two week stay. Jan 2019. The son speaks English very well and the young women who work here try hard to help us.

Surpassed expectations ”
We really enjoyed our stay here, the family went beyond their call of duty and always showed concern for our comfort. I had my birthday while staying here and the staff helped organise flowers and massages, made us a huge breakfast and even decorated our bed with tiny flowers shaped into love hearts. Breakfast is made at anytime you wake up and there is more choice then your average hotel offers. Definately the best place we have stayed in since visiting Vietnam, security was at a high standard, pedal bikes are free to use, moterbike hire available, everything you need, would stay here again.

Exceptional”
Pros: lovely, clean hotel including huge bedroom and bathroom, amazing swimming pool and a delicious breakfast. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Cons: we had a mix up with our airport pick-up. Make sure you organise this well in advance to save a taxi fare. Probably the best place we’ve stayed in South East Asia so far for this value! Can’t beat it!

Clean & spacious room, excellent breakfast”
We were warmly welcomed by the staff. The homestay is located at a 5-10 min from the city centre by bicycle. The homestay offers bikes & bicycles. The rooms are spacious and clean, same for bathroom. You can have your breakfast at any time you like and they have much choice. We had a good time at this homestay and we recommend this if you want to have a quiet and comfortable stay, a little bit outside the city centre.
