Perfect location!”
We stayed for a night when my husband had his test in Manchester City. The hotel located in the heart of the city centre. It is very closed to the centre where my husband got his test and easy to explore Manchester City area by foot. The room is nice and clean. The issue is only with the Air Conditioning. We were not bother by it during our stay because it was winter. But it needs to be fixed for summer, as the room will be too warm without AC.

Good for value!”
The location is perfect for people coming to Manchester for city centre sight-seeing or events in the university area! It is right next to Manchester Oxford Road train station. Nearby 4-5 local or oriental convenient stores! (Oseyo the korean one is right opposite holiday inn and LaMeiZi the chinese one is just round the corner) There are lots of different restaurants around. Staff I met during the stay was all nice, polite and well-mannered. Breakfast is simple English-styled breakfast and definitely enough to start a good day. You may want to consider placing your luggage at the hotel reception temporarily after check out at 11am. One reminder before staying in this hotel is to bring your own cleaning toiletries e.g. toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, etc. They only provide an all-purpose handwash. Definitely I had a nice stay here and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to have a short stay in Manchester!

Early Check in and excellent location but no fridge”
The Holiday Inn Express is just 2-3 minutes from the Oxford station. If you are going to Manchester because of an event in the University, it is less than 10 minutes (walk) from the hotel, and it is also about 10 minutes to the city main shopping area, and slightly more than that to attractions like the Ryland library and Manchester Cathedral. We arrived at slightly after 10 and were pleasantly surprised we could check in. I had a corner room so my room was slightly bigger than the normal room, which my colleague had. However, for both rooms, the shower cubicle was big enough for two, which was a surprise for a 3-star hotel in England. The only inconvenience was no fridge, which meant I had to leave it to the last day to buy stuff like cheese.

Best Location. Nearest to the Univ and Foods”
I stay for one week and very happy with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. The staffs are also very helpful. I wanted to extend my stay for another two weeks, but the hotel was fully booked. The best location. A walk away from the Manchester Metropolitan City Univ, and Univ of Manchester is very close in 5 minutes walk distance. The Manchester Museum is a very close, and it's free. A convenient store is just right down at the corner, to get anything you need from mineral water, milk and snacks. Foods are very near: kebab, chinese foods, Archie's burger, Turkish cuisine, A walk away from the Corner House and Theatre at the Whitworth street. Those who travel by train from the Airport, the Oxford Railroad station is also in a 5 minutes walk distance. I will definitely return to this hotel when i visit Manchester again.

Very satisfied and happy ”
Went to Manchester for a 9 day / 8 night course at Manchester University. Since I knew my dates very well in advance I saved a lot of money on my very advanced booking (Jan for April 2014). I arrived at the Hotel and was greeted very friendly and got a room in the 8th Floor facing the street (which can get very loud during Friday and Saturday night since Manchester is a party town). My room was very clean and enjoyed having the extra sofa to hang out. Bed was very comfy and the bath room is just excellent having a big shower. One thing I didn't understand was why the room has no fridge but OK. Breakfast is great and offers a wide range considering it is Holiday Inn Express. My walk to University has been an easy walk and for this the location of the hotel is just great. Downstairs is a small "SPAR" Supermarket who carries most things. If I return I will certainly stay there again. My best regards to the nice team there, especially the folks at the front desk.

Good Location”
We loved this hotel. We came to Manchester from London via train. We walked to this hotel (took us about 20 minutes) from Piccadilly station. I'll recommend taking taxi or Uber if your luggage is too much hassle. Hotel is at a very good location (next to Manchester Metropolitan Uni) so the place is always buzzing with people. It's about 15 minutes walk to Arndale or you can take a bus there too if you don't fancy walking (bus stop is just a few steps away from hotel entrance). There's a bus stop opp the hotel to take you straight to Old Trafford if you are planning to go there (buy the Day Trip bus tics to save money). Halal food is aplenty (takeaway Archies a few doors down) or about 5 to 6 more dine-in just opp the hotel nearer to the Uni. There's a big Tesco too around that area. Hotel stay comes with complimentary breakfast (just egg, bacon, bread) but it's not halal but we do come down every morning to drink coffee/tea/hot choc (there's a machine) and eat bread.

Nice and clean hotel ”
Helpful and nice hotel staff. The hotel room has enough space, big bed and in good condition. There are many pubs and bars nearby, it is convenient for night life. We went to Manchester for football match, and there is bus with bus stop nearby to take us to Manchester United Stadium in 20 mins. It is near to Manchester Oxford Road Station, very convenient to travel between London.

Cosyl hotel and close to city center”
It was a wonderful stay for us at this hotel, located within walking distance to city center. Friendly staff from reception to housekeeping..Value for money, well maintained and will definitely stay there again should we visit Manchester again....

very convenient location”
My mom and I stayed here for 2 nights. The space of the twin room is bigger than the most hotel rooms I stayed in London or Edinburgh. So the price is reasonable and includes 2 breakfast. I only spent 3 minutes walk to Oxford road station. The staff here were friendly and helpful, one of which helped us book a taxi. The hotel is clean and tidy overall. I will recommend it to my friends who want to stay in Manchester.

Good value for money”
I chanced upon this hotel because my usual choices were booked due to a number of official events in Manchester the same weekend. I was so glad I found it and would definitely stay there again. Manchester is a party city with thousands of students so the outside ambience can be a little noisy but I was so tired and the bed so comfortable that I soon nodded off. My package included breakfast which was welcome but the dining room does get busy at weekends if you leave breakfast till after nine. I was in Manchester to use the university facilities and it took me less than 20 mins to walk there. Just opposite is the Palace Theatre which regularly has big shows on and one of my favourite arts venues in the country, the Cornerhouse, is just 5 mins away. I would definitely recommend.

Modern, Chic and Awesome Location & Service”
The hotel is right next to the MAN Oxford Road Station, dead easy to find and it only takes 10 minutes to walk to city centre and 5 minutes to Deansgate and you're surrounded by a lot of bars, pubs and clubs! Thumbs up for students who're having a weekend off like me! I've booked a double with sofa and the room is extremely spacious (for the price I paid in comparison to the ones in LDN)! Great view from the window and it's very quiet. Furniture are pretty new, comfortable and clean. Toilet is pretty chic with basic amenities provided (can request free shaving gel, complimentary toothpaste and brush etc...). There is a security guard at the front hall 24/7 and I feel fairly safe at night when I got back from a night out on Friday as he did checked whether I'm the guests in the hotel! Complementary breakfast is GREAT! Continental + hot breakfast (sausages, scramble eggs and beans) Nothing bad about it really. I had a pleasant stay.

Excellent”
The staffs here are really nice!!! Always with a big smile, and help whatever you want!!! The room here is clean, and surprisingly saw a welcome message on the memo, that's really warm!!! The design is quite modern and quiet, small but obviously big enough for two person~! All in all! A nice place to stay in Manchester! I will definitely choose to stay here if I'm coming to Manchester again!

not too bad”
our booking came with free breakfast, not very fantastic but it wasn’t bad either. i like that the fruit juices machine and coffee making machine are available throughout the day. i requested for a double bed and got a room that’s catered for handicaps so the sink for washing is lower. there was no safe box inside the hotel room too. location is within walking distance to manchester oxford station (5min) and piccadilly station(10-15min).

Lovely hotel and good service”
The hotel locates on Oxford Road where very close to railway station, city center and university. The room is clean and big, but the windows faces to the pubs next to the hotel, which due to a little noisy. Breadfast in the hotel is not very abundant, however the staffs are very helpful and nice. In a word, it was a nice experimence to stay in this hotel.

Good room, good facilities”
Enjoyed our stay a lot, probably because of the price first and foremost, we went up from London and so the price in Manchester was much more reasonable. There were two options for pillows -- hard and soft -- so it felt fairly welcoming. All other facilities were top notch. Clean. The only bit bad about it is the location -- it's slightly near to bars so it may be a bit noisy at night, but if you fancy a pint it's where u wanna be.

Sorry to tell...”
I will never again choose this hotel. Sincerely I suggest any one going to choose it think twice. This is a cold rainy Manchester in May(4–8C), and I live in an express hotel without any heating. I just got cold. I thought taking medicine will cure it. But the air con seems not that easy to fix, it make strange blowing sounds once nearly half an hour while I have made sure it was fully switched off. Washroom was noise enough even I can not tell where the windy or buzzer sounds came. Downstairs the Oxford street is very noisy. Especially mid night till 3am. Both the street and air con sounds waked me up continuously 3 nights. This is the third room I have changed to, with paying extra money in the front desk. I double checked my booking confirmation that I booked STANDARD double room. First they arrange a disable friendly room(903) to us. When we entering the room sells really uncomfortable. Thank to holiday inn this is my first time to ask changing a hotel room. Staff quickly arrange another room(103) which is the same room type, disable friendly, but very dark inside. What’s more, there are construction outside the window. I go downstairs again to ask room change again. Why not calling from room instead of going downstairs again and again? Because the phone in 903 and 103 are both broken. They said no other rooms for me at this moment. It is strange. I have booked STANDARD double room which is you have not yet provided me any up to this moment. They said they do not have normal double room for my booking. Or I can pay extra money. O great, this solved. Finally I am in 312. A normal standard room type, you can see it in each floor plan on the back of room door from time to time. Besides, staff is professional and response quick. Hotel is geometrically near Manchester oxford station but you need to walk from station with bulky items for more than 15mins to get to the hotel. This good experience makes me feel good to Manchester and decidi

Good Location, Small Rooms and OK service.”
The location of the hotel is excellent for anyone visiting Manchester. Breakfast was typical British food. Some of the staff are friendly but some are rather less helpful. A couple of them seems like they couldn't be bothered with us, slow responding time. One staff seems very irritated when we ask to her to hold our luggage. We had 3 double bedrooms, all were fine but we asked to change one as the room did not have working phone, and it took the staff quite long to do so. Maybe it is just a British thing. The thing I love the most is the location, everything else is... OK.
