When I booked my stay, I asked for an airport transfer. I was assured through our email transactions that this would be granted. However, when I arrived late at night in Da Nang airport, no one received me from the hotel. When I called, the staff couldn't speak English. It was very frustrating and for a solo female traveller, it was also very scary. I was a foreigner in a city I've never been in before. I refused to ride the airport taxis out of fear of being scammed or harassed. Luckily, Grab works in Da Nang and I was able to book a GrabCar to this hostel in Hoi An. There is a staff there that can speak good English but she's only around during the day. She was very nice and helpful to me when I would have my breakfast and ask for tips but unfortunately, not enough for me to forget about that bad experience with the airport transfer. The bed is quite hard but the room was overall okay. Be careful with the bikes that they rent to you. On my first day, I was given one with loose bar handle. I only realized the severity of the situation when I was already in town. It was borderline dangerous because I had to adjust it constantly while I was riding along major roads. On my second day, they let me rent a different bike. It was functioning well so just double check the bikes that they give to you. Also, they don't have helmets for you to borrow. Most of the tourists I see around town don't wear helmets either so the risk is up to you.

The place was clean and pleasant. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. The beds were very hard though. however, when you are paying 10$p/night you cannot expect much. It was half an hour walk from the old town. They hire bikes out for 1$ per day.

Lovely accommodation. Clean and comfortable. But WIFI was very weak. We could not connect wifi in our room second floor. Other than that, everything okay.
