Beautiful people, relaxing location, clean”

I was originally planning on staying at the Homeland River Homestay for just 3 nights but ended up staying for over a week. The whole family are so friendly and eager to help in anyway they can. I often left the free bikes in town over night (by accident) and they would give me a lift into town to pick them up. The atmosphere is very relaxed as it's far enough out of town to feel more rural rather than staying in the hustle and bustle of the ancient town. The distance isn't a problem though as there are free bicycles to use. It felt like a home from home where they really looked after you, I would go back again!

Clean, comfy for a good price”

We enjoyed our stay so much we extended. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers free bicycle rentals and a moto rental for a cheap price. The room was clean, airy, and comfy. The view of the River added a nice touch. There was one thing that was incorrect on Agoda which was the location of the hotel. Otherwise, I recommend this place to stay at during your travel in Hoi An.

Nice family run hotel”

The family were very nice and the hotel was great, clean and the room a nice size. The breakfast was also very good. Good value for money. Not far from the town city, about 20 minutes walk. And they have bicycles to borrow. It was raining the whole 2 days I was in Hoi an but at least I had a nice room to stay dry in .

Nice breakfast with nice view”

Nice homestay with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is awesome, try the local noodles, it comes with a nice view on the river. They provide free bikes to go to the city, it's about 5 minutes.

Very lovely and caring family”

My stay was fine, the family was very nice and very helpful. Very lovely people. The Homestay is quite far out of the centre and not very close to the beach. They will lend you a bike for free which is nice and you can hire a scooter too. I booked a tour to My Son through them and encounter some difficulty, I paid them to come back on the boat and they didn't book it correctly and I had to pay it again when I was there. Their English isn't great and thus I was unable to resolve the double payment issue. In the end it was easier to take the loss. Also I wanted to stay an extra night and they charged me a higher price than on Agoda. You get better value booking it online.

Fantastic place to stay”

We had a really nice welcome, and were most pleased with our big superior double room. The first time since travelling around Vietnam and we have our own bed sockets and bed lamps. Our balcony was also very spacious facing the river, with table & chairs. It is a good 20 minute walk to Ancient town, so we hired the free bikes, which was nice and easy ride of 5 mins instead. We extended our stay because we liked our room so much. Thank you

Nice quiet place along the river”

It was a good stay at such a nice comfy place. The location was little far away from center of Hoi An, but it was good to be away from noisy atmosphere. The staff were not good at Englih, but they were willing to help my stay. I can recommend this beautifully located place.

Quiet place ”

The terrase offers a beautiful view on the river – it's really nice to sit there. The staff is helpful, however, they try to talk you into tours – I didn't like that. Breakfast is very good. Free bicycle.

Just the things you need as a backpacker.”

Our stay was O.K the host family is very friendly and helpfull. As it is a little bit outside the centre of Hoi an, you can get a free bike from the house. Just a 5 min. trip and very fun to do

Free bikes! Very quiet location near riverside”

Loved that they gave you bikes to explore, as the place is on an island of sorts over the bridge from the main Tourist area (which is VERY busy). It was nice to bike a very short distance to town every day, and even to the beach another day. Breakfast is Included- do yourself a favor and get the noodle dish. It’s deicious! And local! THe other options are just standard eggs and bread, but this noodle soup was big and hearty. People who own it are nice, and the bus ticket out included a pickup there to bring us to the bus stop which was far for walking. Would stay again! -no water refills was a bummer

Excellent location”

Very friendly and helpful hosts. Only a 15 minutes walk to Hoi An.

near hotel, we enjoyed the wind and rain in the night with the door open, it's very brisk. nice family and good location.

Nice, basic, bit out the way”

We booked this thinking it was $13 for a double room, but it ended up being $18 for a double, but this did include breakfast. It was a perfectly fine basic hotel, but was a bit out of the way from the main shops bars and cafes at the main riverfront. The lunch and dinner options were also limited but you got good sized portions or recommended delivery returners which we also used.

clean room not worth the money or hassle ”

We stayed for two nights and regreatred it... the homestay was about 20 min walk from the center and very dark walk back at night . the room was clean but not at all worth the money we paid / the staff were ok but we felt very uncomfortable there . sorry - wanted to like this place but all in all - stay in the center !

located on island approx 15 min walk to Old Town. Food slightly undercooked and greasy. Owner very pushy re clothes shop, tours and taxi to Danang.
