Great family run hotel ”
We were met with a smile by the staff on arrival and nothing was too much trouble for them, we booked trips and onward bus journeys and when we needed a very early breakfast the staff didht hesitate to accommodate us. Our room was lovely (302) and the atmosphere along the street, epsecially over the weekend was great fun. Good bars and restaurants near by. I woild recommend hong thien to all travellers.

Needs some TLC”
A great locations and good value for money. We stayed in a private room so can't comment on the dorms. Room was small so felt cramped but air-con worked well and shower was hot. The room was clean and towels changed for our second night which was good. Some of the communal areas were a little dusty and dirty and wasn't really anywhere to sit and chill out so no atmosphere but right in the centre of it all so was very convenient to get around. Bar next door was loud but kind of what you expect in a city. Would recommend

The stuff was really nice and helpful, and the location amazing, but the facilities weren’t as great. We had a room in the last floor and it was 8 floors all the way up, and with the extreme heat and luggage it was a pretty hard task 🥵

It’s not bad”
The location is good, near to restaurants, pubs and not far from the attractions. The room are ok, but the bed is so old, you can feel all the Springs of the mattress in for back. There is no elevator, so if you’re in a high floor could be difficult. The breakfast is good, you can choose from a menu a dish and a drink. The staff sometimes friendly, sometimes rude...

I spent only two nights in Hue. I was extremely satisfied with choice of hotel. The manager/owner was the most competent, professional, nicest and helpful person in 6 weeks trip in Vietnam so far. From the welcoming icy water and green tea, to booking a boat tour, I felt like important guest. The room was small but clean and nicely furnished. A/C worked great, Internet was fast and there was good selection of TV channels. The pool was in the sister hotel just across the street and it was so nice to soak in there after tiring day. There was refrigerator with reasonably priced refreshment drinks in the room. Breakfast was included and there was some selection to choose from. This hotel is a great value for the money. I recommend it to everyone and would stay the again.

Perfect Backpackers Hotel!!”
The staff was always super friendly, place clean and room with a lot of space. We had different options for the free breakfast (Banana pancakes was the best!): 1 dish, 1 drink and 1 plate of fruits. The location is perfect, right on the middle of the main night street. 15 minutes from the historical part and daylly market. We arrived too early for the check-in and the staff gave us free tea and bananas while they prepared our room! We booked the tour guide from Hue to Hoi An (the bus morning tour - 8/8:15 am) and it was the same price as any other place (believe me, we checked - 8€/p). The tour stopped in 4 places (the famous bridge, the Lagoon, the Hai Van Pass (doesn't go through the tunnel!) and the Marble Mountain. The trip takes around 6 hours and the tour guide speakes good EN. We recommend you this place for sure!! One of the best in Vietnam so far (2 weeks, 5 places and counting)!

One disappointment”
The hotel was great overall. The staff and receptionist were very friendly. I had shown up early the day I was checking in because I was dropped off by the night bus. They served me breakfast tho I hadn't stayed the night before. The receptionist was willing to help with anything I needed. Great service throughout my stay and my private room was clean, good AC, and construction early mornings and all day but nothing ear plugs couldn't fix. There was only one disappointment I had. I was researching trips during breakfast that took you from Hué to Hoi An and wanted to book this one trip that included a Hue City tour day and then the second day included repelling and a mountain descent on the way to Hoi An. I showed the receptionist and she said she'd call and book. She did and I was very excited to do it. Well I later found out that when she made that call she didn't call that specific tour company she called a different one and arranged a trip. The trip included the first day with the

Nice room service with a smile”
The location was generally good as it was easy to get around and was about 5/10 minutes to the bars and restaurants. People were generally friendly and helpful around Hue. We reguarly ate at the 'Hot tuna Restaruant' 2 minutes from out restaurant. We also enjoyed the little rickshaw who also provided service with a smile. The hotel was reasonably priced and rooms were of a reasonable size, although we did get a superior room as it was ready when we arrived to check in. The local knowledge given by reeception was helpful and they advised us on our forwarding journey

Great location with nice balcony”
miss an was very instrumental in helping us with our tour of hue city as well as halong bay and for that we will be forever grateful. she also made helpful suggestions for local places to visit including spas and stores and prepared a breakfast buffet specifically for our tastes. the hotel was located within walking distance of the old citadel as well as pier and old part of town.

Fantastic staff and a great place to stay!”
We would recommend anyone to stay at Hong Thien Hotel 2. All of the staff were friendly. Particular mention must go to Tracey who coordinated our holiday, organising train tickets to Hue and our two night stay at Halong Bay. She was fabulous! Nothing was too difficult. The breakfast was very good too! The location of the hotel was very convenient! Look no further for accommodation in Hanoi!

Friendly staff, cheap, free breakfast”
We only stayed here for one night whilst passing through Hue, the staff were lovely, the free breakfast the next morning was cooked as you asked for it, the room was a lovely size, great city views. The only down side was there was no lift and we were placed on one of the top floors and this was a long way up steep stairs to reach. Other than the stair climb we loved this hotel !

Eceptionaly great value for money! ”
We booked 2 nights stay in this hotel that night before we depart from Hoi An. It is located near many other hotels so many facilities like shops, restaurants, money changer etc are there too. It is about 5 to 10 minute walk to the waterfront. However, to me the main reoson I would recomend this hotel are the service! My room are ready and the receptionist handed me the key when I was about to alight from the taxi that brought me from Hoi An! She also help me arrange for the tour and give me some money safing tips on how to maximise my experience while in Hue. I extend my stay for another night here. Our deluxe room are ok size with a small balcony facing the street and attach bathroom with small bathtub. It was cleaned daily. There is no elevator/lifts. So be prepare to walk up a few flight of stairs. Breakfast are freshly prepared for you base from a standard menu.

Comfy Small rooms . ”
The staff here were very friendly, while some of them couldn't understand English they did everything they could to assist ( even calling someone who could speak English to translate for us) The rooms are small and basic including own bathroom, cable tv, minibar, air con and fan. Was a little noisy at times, Great cheap room for two nights in Hue. They have another hotel round the corner which is larger and a little more expensive. The staff are also exceptionally helpful and friendly. The receptionist key us use her computer to print (for free) because the other computers were being used. Love this hotel!”
This was second time in Hue and wanted to stay at this hotel again after 2 years. The bus from Da Nang dropped us directly in front of the hotel. The staff recognized me right away, and practically treated me like family. There are great street dining options close by, as well as restaurants. close to the river, easy to get anywhere in the city. I will always stay at this Hotel when ever i visit again.

Good location and helpful staff”
Double room is small but cosy, with mini bar, A/C and cable TV. Breakfast included is quite nice.. The swimming pool in the sister hotel is available for use (we didn't try but it looks clean, although quite small.) I would stay there again if back in Hue.

Great stay”
We stayed here for one night and loved it! Arrived at 6am from the night bus and got a fantastic breakfast and space to freshen up. They organised a great day tour of Hue and couldn't do anymore to facilitate a great time. Room has good aircon and nice hot showers. Excellent location!

Small hotel with helpful staffs ”
i had a good impression from very warm and helpful receptionist , Ms . Hong . She was great . My room was small but just nice for 1 person to be comfortable . The cotton bed sheet and drap were very clean and pillow was so soft. i had my breakfast as Bun Bo Hue ( a local speciality at Hue ) with additional shrimp paste . So yummy !I will come back for sure on my next working trip .

Lovely accommodation is Hue. Staff are really friendly and gave us cold drink and got the room ready early for us. Lots of stairs so wouldn’t be good if your got bad knees.

Nice Hotel with great staffs!”
Really nice place, with clean room with AC. The staffs were very friendly, giving us a map and good explanation about the city and the tours available (giving the REAL price of the tours, tacking into account the many entrance fees). And we received many free fruit juices or salad. Only thing to take into account, the swimming pool is not in the hotel itself but on the other side of the road, but it s not a problem at all to arrange to go there. Would recommend this place to anyone

Nice hotel just outside the busy action streets”
i stayed in this hotel for a couple of days and enjoyed it very much. i changed my standard double to one in the front that had a balcony and a desk. very nice to sit outside in the evenings. jut outside the busy hue-streets and a few minutes bike-ride away from the ancient imperial citadel. you can have a swim in the hong thien 1. something extraordinary happened to me here: the morning i left, i took a motortaxi to the station. i relaxed and sat down to wait for my train to roll in, as suddenly the lady receptionist of the hotel arrived on her motorbike to bring me my passport i had forgotten to recollect before leaving. what a service!! thank you very much!! cảm ơn lắm!! (hope that's correct)!!
