Close to station”
Just a short walk to Hakata station. Very close to restaurants and other establishments. Friendly staff. Room is a bit small - couples and those going solo won't mind but would probably difficult for more than 2 people. We loved our stay and would recommend this to anyone looking for good value for their money.

Affordable Hotel in Prime location”
The breakfast buffet is just amazing! The location is convenient, it's only 5 mins walk from the subway and bus station. Room are too small but they clean it well. Their staff can also understand English and that is a plus for me.

Location is close to Hakata Station which takes about 10 minutes to walk, but room is small with semi-double bed which is crowded for 2 people. Breakfast is OK in buffet style. Staff is helpful.

A good and energetic city”
I travel to Japan twice or more every year. Areaone Hakata is the one makes me suprised. Little hotel, guest room size is the smallest I lived so far (semi-double room). However I have been amazed. They run this hotel very well! Room is small but all basic room furniture and appliances are there. Air conditioner is good and cool enough, very tidy and clean room. Room size is small, a little problem when we both walk in the corridor and have our luggages sit in there. Breakfast is amazing. over 20 selections in the breakfast buffet. Most of them are Japanese foods. Staff are very hard working, helpful and polite. Laundry is free except soap. Soap is only 50 yen (correct me if I am wrong). The washing machine suprised me, this carries Braille on every switches. It also carries count down display!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Areaone Hakata. I found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the room extremely comfortable and quiet. It is located not far from the train station, at walking distance, in a quieter part of town. I found the riverside location very tranquil and attractive. A really solid hotel, with great facilities, amenities and a lovely breakfast.

Near the river”
Far from Hakata or even Gion station, you have to walk about 15-20mins from the train station, pass by hakata bus terminal and the river and the hotel is just right infront of the river. There are free drinks from the vendo from 6-10 AM. The staff are nice and courteous even if their English is limited, it's okay since they really try their best to explain and accommodate most of your requests and questions. I don't like the early 10AM check out though as it is not usual for most hotels I have stayed.

1. Good English, and really nice attitude. We wanted to change the smoking room to non-smoking room, receptionist really helped. 2. Abundant breakfast. There was different choice in breakfast, and we could drink all the drinks in the vending machine. It's really interesting. 3. Really cheap price. I can't find any cheaper hotel in Hakata.

Value the money, Good Service. ”
Even hotel is a little bit far from main station but it's value the money with good service and good rate. Helpful and friendly staffs. Nice Breakfast. Room is not too small like those hotels which are close to JR Hakata station. I prefer to walk further for the better hotel and better service.

Short stay near Hakata”
We only needed to stay overnight near the Hakata station, this Hotel was very convenient for us since it's not more than 10 minutes far. The price was little bit high considering the standards we have from Europe, but I guess it's just how the prices are in Japan.

Best Buy Hotel”
I ordered this hotel in very low price. So, according to me, it is a Best Buy. The hotel is generally OK, typical Japanese business hotel, but a little bit old. The room and the toilet is small, OK for single person with not much luggage. Within the walking distance from Hakata station, but still need a nearly 8-10 min walk and the path is quite quiet and dark at night. It might be better to walk from Gion station (地下鐵祇園站）instead. The breakfast is good, with some traditional Japanese and Kyushu food to taste. Free drink from the machine is provided during morning, even though you don’t order breakfast, good!

Very nice accommodation if you are not carring >28" luaggage or taller than 180cm Still a good choice even there are not any shop close. helpful and nice staff, would try out other AREAONEs in Japan.
