Becareful of hotel’s name: Hotel Areaone Miyazaki and Miyazaki city. We booked double bed but the hotel didn’t reserve for us. Anyway, it’s fine.

Great place at a great price! ”
I highly recommend this hotel as well as Agoda! Their customer service is excellent. There was a problem with our flight and we had to change our plans but both companies readily and painlessly addressed our issues and gave us a refund. I will definitely continue to use Agoda for my hotel needs in future and Hotel Areaone is where I would stay when I next visit Miyazaki. It’s a bit of a walk from the station but the breakfast option is excellent, the staff are there 24 hours and are kind and helpful. The beds are a bit dated but the rooms have everything that you need.

Price was good and breakfast was delicious. Location is good but car parking is inconvenience and charge of Yen800/night. And the bed quality is bad and old.

The third bed in the 3 beds bedroom is an additional spring bed with 3 springs missing and 1 spring broken on the edge. Furnitures are old and worn out. Bedside control unit is an antique that no longer works and stick with plastic tapes. The room was dusty and things were covered with dust overnight. The good points were humidifier and air filtering machines were provided from the lobby on first come first serve basis. The property is about 5 mins walk from the shopping street. Customer services were good.

Dated - the hotel rooms/common areas like lift and front desk do not seem to be well maintained Disappointing reservation - we requested (and received the confirmation months ago) for a non smoking room. We checked in and was told there were no more non smoking rooms available so they deodorised a smoking room for us. If a non smoking room was not available then we wouldn't expect to receive confirmation that a non smoking room was reserved for us. One staff was really helpful - in particular one guy who tried really hard to help us arrange for a non smoking room. We weren't able to just change a room but we had to cancel our booking and rebook through their website. Not the most ideal resolution but at least we didn't have to be marinated in second-hand smoke Not clean - there were dust and mould in toilet. You could also smell the mould.

This hotel is quite old & run down. Our room was extremely dusty and seemed like it had not been stayed in or cleaned in a while. The wall paper was ripped and falling off the wall. The bed felt like it would buckle upon sitting down on it. No outlets near the beds. There is just much better out there.

Great location and Fantastic service”
we had an excellent time in miyazaki staying at hotel areaone. the front desk was very helpful in giving directions and maps for locations in miyazaki. in particular, one front desk manager, aya taniguchi was extremely helpful, spoke good english and as a local miyazaki resident knew how to find anything/anyplace in town. she went out of her way to help my wife and i. we highly recommend the hotel and breakfast (it's worth it).

The staff are the standout for this hotel. They helped us find restaurants, gave us maps, helped us with laundry facilities, and made phone calls in japanese for us (we are english speakers). They were fantastic. Our room was a good size and clean. Bathroom was clean but old and cramped. This is an old hotel which has been given a facelift. Some of the old features like the bathroom and some furniture still remains. We didn't get a chance in our schedule to eat hotel breakfast, so cant comment on it. Good location. PLenty of restaurants around. Downside is the restaurants are located in same area as mens entertainment BUT that is a criticsim of Miayaki city and not AreaOne. AreaOne is great value for money and I would visit again when in Miayazki City. Thank you

Excellent service, definitely going back there”
we stayed at this small hotel very centrally located for 3 nights. the price is quite reasonable. the staff were very helpful in assisting us in planning out sightseeing in and around miyazaki. breakfast was only japanese food. the rooms are quite small for a couple, though sufficient for just sleeping in as we spent the whole day roaming in and around. public transport for in and around miyazaki is good.

Simple and inexpensive hotel ”
This little hotel is well placed close to the centre of the town and a 20 minute walk to Miyazaki station. The staff tried speaking in English to us and while we didn't have much contact with them anything we asked of them was completed quickly and efficiently. They offered a range of teas and coffees for you to take up to your room and make with the little water boiler they had in the room. Rooms were fairly spacious for Japanese standards and were pretty clean too. The only downside of the the hotel was finding stains on the sheet the morning after we stayed and we thought we had booked a non-smoking room. However for its location and price the place was a good stay for anyone just looking to crash for the night in Miyazaki city.

The hotel phone no. could NOT be accessed or located by the GPS of our rental car. We had to go to another chain hotel nearby and the staff phoned Hotel Areason Miyazaki but the same phone no. was given us again. Finally, this chain hotel staff gave us guidelines to drive to Hotel Areaone Miyazaki.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately dryer was unavailable on the day which we were staying hence after using their washing machine, had to walk out to near by laundromat to use the dryer. Finally a staff that can speak simple English as well so easier to communicate. Will be back again when I am back to Miyazaki

is a long walk from the miyazaki train station. however, the hotel is very near to the night spots where the restaurants and clubs are located. friendly staffs and very helpful in many ways... free coffee and tea.. the room size is reasonably big... not too tiny as compared to others.

The hotel is a distance from the Miyazaki train station and could be a little difficult to find without a proper map. However, it is very near to the main shopping street and the restaurants. The room is clean and the staff were able to comply with the request for a non-smoking room. The staff also spoke a bit of English and were helpful. As the hotel lies near the main restaurant belt, there was some noise from late nightpub goers that passed by occasionally

Nice hotel, but bad location”
30 minute walk from JR Miyazaki station. Close to city centre, but also close to the 'red light/entertainment' district. Not many restaurants nearby, just bars with some drinking food. Nothing wrong with the hotel, though had to speak Japanese mostly. Seemed to be more hotels closer to the station, so best to go with that if price is similar.
