AMAZINGvalue for money seafront luxury property-quiet yet central”

THe hotel administrator came to the center of town to pick us up after we called. The property is MUCH BETTER than advertised. It features a 2nd floor 25 foot by 30 foot panoramic, shaded area where any gust can see and hear the ocean. We got upgraded by offering to stay an extra night which included a refrigerator and freezer. The Tucan seen in the website lives uncaged on the property. Cold drinks 20 Lempira. Cold bottled water offered free on arrival. Using Booking.com costs the hotel 24% so booking directly they appreciate. Jose and Karen were friendly and an amazing source of local information. The rooms were sparkling clean and all the COVID “stuff” is in place. The best value for money place in Tela!
Everything was amazing. Try to book direct or just for one night and extend on arrival to save the Bahia hotel 24% that Booking hits then up for. The hotel can also rate guests so don’t no show!

The free breakfast, very friendly staff, clean rooms, free bottle water every day, and a few steps away from the beach.
Wish they offered more of a selection for the breakfast. Booking said they take credit cards but they do not, so make sure you have enough lempeires. We really enjoyed our stay there. The rooms are priced very reasonable.

The staff was attentive and very sweet. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and safe from COVID. The hotel is about a 30 second walk from a fairly secluded part of the beach. There was a wonderful terrace at the hotel where my friends and I were able to enjoy the cold, cheap beers!
I guess technically there is a “sea view”. It is not an unobstructed view, but we weren’t too bothered.

The location is amazing. The hotel is right next to the beach, and a short walk to the center of Tela. The owner and employees at the hotel were so kind, and actively worked to make our stay enjoyable.
Due to some weather conditions, the hot-water and electricity went out twice during our stay. The ride to the hotel from the airport (and back) was $95 each way, which I felt was a bit overpriced.
