Most welcoming staff ever”

People who work there are amazing. I visited this hotel off-season, and arrived with a short notice. Apparently I was the only guest at that time. Yet, the staff have arranged everything in no time (dinner made of veggies from their own garden, fireplace, a heater in the room, etc.). The hotel itself, rooms, the view, etc., are excellent, as expected based on reviews, but the highlight there is surely happy people and their hospitality.

We had an awesome stay with friendly staff at an awesome location , it was like placing a star hotel with in a botanical garden , the only concern is it is way out of the town and takes some solid time to reach Gangtok for anything

Bamboo bliss”

The Bamboo Retreat is a lovely hotel, which has been well maintained, freshly painted, with a different colour scheme and plant theme for each room, and beautiful gardens. The staff are friendly and super helpful. It's great value and much nicer than many similarly priced hotels we have seen in Sikkim. Highly recommended

overall a good stay”

this hotel has a great location if you wish to wake up to views of the hills and clouds and thick forest. bonus is the sound of a stream flowing just on the side of the hotel. but for people who wish to stay near gangtok market and centre, this is very far. we went in october, and it would get dark at about 530 pm so once you are back in the hotel there is no going anywhere else . the staff are very polite and i enjoyed learning about the place from suraj. thanks suraj for all your help! the food was unexpectedly yummy! children ate well, and thats saying a lot! i pointed out a couple of cobwebs in our room, though. cleanliness is an area they need to work on, as i pointed out to suraj.
