Good stay at a nice hotel”
I stayed for four nights. The suite is spacious, the bed was great, and the bathroom facilities nice. Staff was very courteous and helpful. The rooftop restaurant serves very good food. Minor quibbles: (i) The inside of the wardrobe needs to be repainted. Cleaning every week is recommended. (ii) There are too few electricity outlets.

Very neat and spacious hotel with decent lobby. But the service is pathetic. I ordered water or tea / coffee sachets for replinshing but i ihad to wait for 2 hours and after many reminders. This happened many times.

Pathetic experience ”
I had a very bad experience staying at this hotel as hotel staffs are too rude and doesn’t know how to treat customers additionally hotel rooms are in pathetic condition and keeps on stinking and mosquitoes in the rooms add icing to the cake. I would recommend not to stay at this place.

Worst hotel you can stay in”
Can there be worse hotel to stay in ? no. I was give a very shabby room with bad smell and in damp condition. Mattress was all wet and even after changing the bedsheet, it got again wet. After so many request, we were provided with another room, which we were told, will not be charged extra. But at the check-in time we were charged 500/- extra for room upgrade. Owner/manager had the very bad attitude when we refused to pay the extra money for the room.

For me, this is the ideal hotel. Wonderfully located a half block from the Ganges at Assi Ghat. Assi Ghat has become a major cultural site, with aarti, yoga, and classical music every morning, and frequent music and/or dance programs in the evening (all free). The neighborhood is great: a variety of restaurants, milk and lassi shops, book stores, and dhobi stands (for washing clothes). You can rent bicycles at a corner shop. I recommend room 451 with its wonderful view of rooftops, the street and the river. The breakfast is an easy way to start the day: toast, porridge, paratha and curd, and tea up on the rooftop. The view is fab!

Good location, so so service”
Location is within walking distance to the Ghat. Most ppl will know where the hotel is. We stayed two nights. The hot water was not available (boiler broke down) and so we had to shower in cold water. The hotel tried to sell us boat ride for 1500 rupees, negotiated to 1000 rupees. We said no, walked down the ghat and got a boat ride (all to ourselves) for 250 rupees (after some haggling). The hotel cleanliness is much to be desired. The floor felt like a layer of dust so don't expect too much from them.
