Me and my family had a wonderful experience staying in Hotel Barbareek. BUT LET ME CLEAR ONE THING- this hotel didn't provide their authentic ph number on this website and just like me, many customers will try to get in touch with the hotel by searching the number of this hotel on Google through random websites. DO NOT CALL RANDOM NUMBERS. They are FRAUD and will rob you if you provide your card number. This is the number of Hotel Barbareek:- 8794734451, 9612299437. If I sum up this review in short, I'd say- BEST FOOD (they are pure veg and vegetables can be this tasty- I never knew), CLEAN ROOMS, STAFFS ARE WELL BEHAVED and HONEST, ACCESS TO WI-FI and you get all the basic amenities here. I'm very glad for the amazing experience staying in this hotel.

Market place ”

It is in middle of busy bazaar . Expect traffic jams and i do mean standstill traffic . So we walked the last 250 m from taxi to hotel . Locally run urban hotel . Tad run down but helpful staff . Fair pricing for what is given .

Surrounding of hotel having a vegetable market & local taxi stand that's why during monsoon from march to September it becomes a slippery uphill walk to reach to hotel.

Location is negative and hotel surrounding is dirty and crowded. It's the wholesale market and a crab. Inside hotel ambience is great. Clean and wide corridors, cozy reception, rooms are ok types and staff is good. No lift at the hotel

Hotel staff was well behaved and service was prompt and room was clean …..but there was no welcome drink or tea or water bottle given by the staff and television was not working the engineer took one hour to settle issue but failed however rest things were ok

Not good location for tourists or new travellers”

This hotel is located at Lewduh near Bara Bazaar, Shillong. I stayed for a night but the location is too noisy and is in a commercial marketplace. Donot be fooled this hotel has no parking of its own but a small dark corner where Meghalaya commercial Sumos are kept full of shit, toilet pee smelly awful place. No tourist can keep his or her bike or car in this parking and is not visible from the hotel nor this parking area has any cctv. Very less security. I stayed in a deluxe room overall room was clean but tv not working and geyser not in order. Very Very noisy ans chaos outside the hotel till 2pm at night. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR TOURISTS OR FIRST TIME MEGHALAYA TRAVELLERS. STAY IN HOTEL OR LODGES IN POLICE BAZAR, SHILLONG INSTEAD. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
