Great and quirky decor; the in-house restaurant is superb and the bakery run by the hotel makes the best bread in Manila. The room was quiet, clean with classy furnishings. The hotel is in an "edgy" part of Makati so the location is within easy walking distance of loads of places like Rockwell, Glorietta, Makati Med, Jazz and Century Malls. However the area is a little seedy after dark. If you like edgy, it's perfect and for the price utterly unbeatable! The staff were kind and very focused on security of the guests. It's a hotel stay which felt just like my Philippine experience - full of contrasts which complement appreciating each other.

I always stay here and love it! Just a couple things to change ”
This place is by far the best place to stay in the area and I will always come back to Hotel Durban. The only thing I would change is... 1st thing is I was told I am not allowed to use the HDMI port on the back of the TV. They told me it is prohibited to use. Why?! The channels selection is not very good so I always bring netflix on my computer. Not really sure because every hotel I stay in, it's never been an issue before. Other than that i give this place a 5 star rating! Hotel Durban is the best and the staff is over the top professional! You'll never be disappointed with the cleanliness and staff! ❤

I have stayed here a few times in the past, last time being a year ago. My stay was great again. Number one thing: From first moment staff are friendly and helpful (also had access to the details to show I had stayed here a year before even though it was a year ago) . All the staff are great and want to help. Will smile and answer any questions you have. The wifi is great and very quick. Big safety deposit box in room which can fit a laptop inside which adds to peace of mind: its a safe hotel anyway as the reception desk always acknowledge me when I come in, normally by name, meaning strangers probably cant get in anyway. It is in Makati near the bars so great place to stay if you want a pleasant, cheap hotel in that area. Sure I will stay again in the future.

Super super noisy on the 3rd floor!”
I stay here all the time and it's very nice and modern however everytime I book on the 3rd floor it's so noisy from early in the morning until late at night. The cleaning staff is just way too noisy. I'm here now trying to sleep and every 5 seconds there is a bang and wakes me up. I've tried to tell the hotel about this but nothing changes.

The hotel is located near the lively night life in P.Burgos (not sure if I spelt it correctly). It is easy to search for food and the location was surprisingly quiet at midnight despite being near to the clubs. Receptionist is super nice especially this one guy I couldn’t remember his name but he was being very helpful, assisting my husband and I with the grabcar as it was quite hard to get grabcar in that area. I think they could improve by providing a hairdryer and plug socket (multi pin for international plug) inside the room. My phone died the first day I came into the hotel and I couldn’t charge it. So far, it was a pleasant stay.

Brilliant staff”
The staff make this place what it is, a great budget hotel in the entertainment area of Makati. This time I arrived v early after just getting off the flight and the attendant helped me get my room early for no extra charge. This sort of stuff really does make a difference. The staff here have been brilliant every time I have come here (on and off over a 3 year period or so). Long may it continue.

I have been here repeatedly. I make request and they can't Always be Met BUT I know the staff do their best and I saw it first hand. I arrived earlier than expected and was Sick upon arrival. Although my room was not ready, I had given them a heads up regarding my Early arrival, they assured me they'd do their best. I had to lay down on that hard wood bench for about an hour. The front desk woke me to let me know they expedited my room and had it ready. It saved my body and sanity as I rested for another hour in a BED and then had to meet up for an important business meeting with clients. If anything I would recommend the hotel to put a sofa or room with furniture for Early guest as the restaurant isn't always made for very weary travelers who's room may not be ready. Also, because I was in the single OLDER room the hot water was a challenge to work BUT as Always the STAFF came to my rescue. Anyone can say bad things about this hotel BUT, I would Never believe them. 15 stays,ALL good

I arrived at Durban to find that my room was upgraded with no extra charge. Nice hot showers, modern minimal styling, great value for the price, outstanding location....The only thing I see that is a slight negative is that there is no parking if you want to drive there.....It doesn't bother me that much because I usually don't drive in Manila.....

My friend invited me to stay with her for a week at Hotel Durban, and i just loved how homey and clean the place is. This is now at the top of my list of where to go to when i need a place to stay. I can say that the hotel though small in size, is at par with bigger hotels in good service, facility and cleanliness. And i should also mention its restaurant with good service and delicious meals.

I did not expect that I booked a really spacious room with a lounge, office area, king sized bed with bath tub in the bathroom. It was worth the money I paid. I hope that I can do it again one day. I love it!

Location of the hotel is perfect for travelers. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and convenient stores nearby. In the middle of red light district, and close to bars, pubs, and nightlife. Hotel is clean, comfortable bed, good working AC. The staff made me whole stay really comfortable and enjoyable. They are very accomodating and helpful. Will definitely go back.
