In a picturesque bay in the south of Skye, this hotel has beautiful views over the Sound of Sleat and the distant hills of Knoydart. It offers a 2 AA Rosette-awarded restaurant, and is next to the headquarters of the award-winning Gaelic Whisky company. With log fires in its reception rooms and a wood-panelled dining room where you can enjoy candlelit dinners, Hotel Eilean Iarmain retains many traditional features. Its hallway is decorated with stag antlers and a stuffed golden eagle. Rooms have wooden furnishings, and some have open fireplaces. Each also features facilities for making tea and coffee, and has scenic views from the windows. Suites also feature a TV. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The restaurant offers à la carte dining, with a menu including local seafood and game. There is also a well-stocked bar with a choice of fine wines and real ales.

Wonderful stay, if only for 1 night. Very disappointed though that as a guest we were not automatically given an option of a dinner reservation. When requesting if a table was available we were told the restaurant was fully booked but could use the bar....which turned out to be packed to capacity with people waiting to be seated, so we ended up having to travel miles to find somewhere that could accommodate us for dinner, which with a 2 yr old was less than idea. Guests of the hotel should automatically be given priority for dinner reservations...but it seems not.Breakfast was excellent though.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. It is in a beautiful secluded area. Hotel has a great feel to it. Staff are excellent and the food was very good. I am so happy that I stayed here and would stay again.
