Walking distance to downtown West Palm was perfect. Interior is definitely dated but has a certain old world charm. Would likely stay again.

Downtown location is great if you can put up with a very shared bath situation. Parking is NOT free from 7am to 9pm and you must feed the meter every 4 hours.

Excellent”
Not the fanciest hotel by far but it has a lot of character. An amazing location: it's close to Clematis (2 streets) but still quiet at night. Staff was very friendly and let me check out half an hour late without much fuss. Can't beat it for the price!

Great location for Amtrak and Greyhound”
Great location, good value for money, friendly and helpful staff, clean. Also, not your usual sterile motel look- it has been a hotel since 1924.

Good value, great location”
The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. The only thing off is they don't provide parking so you'll have to pay during city hours. There was an incidentals charge to my credit card that the check in lady said would get refunded within a few days. We shall see.

Actually i was surprised, it doesnot have parking , paid parking per hour from 7 am to 9pm you have to consider more money to paid for nothing, in addition the hotel is very old , you have to carry you stuff up stairs, no lift ….

Not a hotel it’s a HOSTEL.”
When I arrived, there was no customer service associate. The doors of the building were locked, and I had to call for assistance. No bathrooms or showers in rooms!!! The blinds were missing and people could see into my room. It is false advertisement to call this a hotel. It is not a hotel, it is a hostel! I would never stay here again, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I love this place! It’s cozy and so beautiful inside with this $! Also outside is soooooo convenient, the train is just right around the corner, walk to everywhere, night time you can cross the street enjoy bars and all things there! I really wanted to give this hotel a 5 given the great value, the excellent location and the fun, quirky old place. The room had everything I needed, and even some I did not, including a large refrigerator, freezer, ice tray and a microwave. This is all great, and honestly, I will stay there again next time! The reason I felt the need to deduct one star is the absence of staff (or at least an explanation of what to do) and the plumbing. When I arrived (late), I called the number on the door. They buzzed me in, but didn't tell me what to do next. So I called the number again once inside. They checked me in via a phone screen (pretty cool) and then told me to get my key from the box. There is an obvious lock box on the left of the desk, so I tried the door code and room code but nothing worked. So I called the number a third time and they told me that the key was in the regular wooden box. Why didn't they just explain the whole process ahead of time or on the first call? Easy fix! When I asked about where to get a soda, the phone rep said they were not from FL. I got the same when trying to add an extra night. I called at 8am and the rep said he was in NY and to call back after 9am. These are probably just after-hours issues. I was not at the hotel during the regular hours, which may work much better. The toilet would not flush a second time unless you waited a REALLY long time. After trying everything the first 2 days, I finally learned this. A simple note on the toilet could have explained that you just have to wait. The sink was also really slow draining but still workable. Again, I will stay there again.

Loved finding this gem on my trip to the east coast! Loved the room (very clean and comfy bed) and decor throughout the hotel, it was a experience I won’t forget and will visit again in the future! Telling all my friends as well!
