Great food”
My boyfriend and I have been traveling through Tohoku and Hotel Folkloro has been our favorite so far. The food was all fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff were so nice and put our luggage in our room when we left it with them before check in. The hotel is right outside of the train station, so it’s super convenient, too. If you like the food from the restaurant, you can find a lot of the ingredients in the gift shop next to the front desk.

right outside kakunodate station (20 steps). service lovely. breakfast was buffet style Japanese breakfast, lovely and satisfying. room/bathroom was on the large size for Japanese accomodation, very comfortable

Not all 5 stars, but...”
Don't take my not giving 5 stars across the board as a suggestion that you might not enjoy your stay at this hotel. It was clean, the bathroom was larger than most inexpensive hotels I've been in, the breakfast buffet was good (not fantastic, but better than "not great" (as another reviewer said)), and it is right next to the train station (impossible to miss) making it convenient for a rest stop. Minor nits that docked stars for me included: beds and pillows were VERY firm, even a bit firm for me and I like firm beds. At the breakfast buffet there was a QR code they wanted me to scan, but for some reason I couldn't (could be me)... but no one on staff spoke any English, and my Japanese isn't up to the task of technical debugging, so it kind of fell apart there. Finally, while conveniently close to the train station, it isn't QUITE as conveniently placed to lots of the attractions and restaurants in the area. Expect some walking.

Convenient Kakunodate Hotel”
Super convenient location to Kakunodate station and rental car facilities. Check in was quick and the staff were very friendly. Ample self parking available. Buffet breakfast included was very good. No onsite onsen. Onsite laundry consisted on 1 washer and 1 dryer on the entire property, but there's a coin laundry facility about 5 mins away.

Exceptional”
L'hôtel est situé à côté de la gare, je n'ai été gêné par aucun passage de train. Il y a une ligne de chemin de fer privée depuis la même gare, le trajet A/R jusque Aniai m'a paru intéressant. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est bien fourni, la carte du diner propose de bons plats.

nous avons passé " nuits dans cet hotel dans une chambre non fumeur d'un étage non fumeur l'hotel est vieillot la climatisation sent très mauvais si bien que nous préférions ouvrir la fenêtre le petit déjeuner est sous forme de set donc pas un buffet et est assez médiocre

Bahnhofshotel mit netten Personal und tollem Frühstück”
Nur zwei Schritte vom Bahnhof entfernt liegt das Folkloro-Hotel. Checkin erst um 15 Uhr möglich, dafür kostenlose Gepäckaufbewahrung, die Sehenswürdigkeiten erreicht man nach einem kleinen Spaziergang. Im Hotel ist ein kleines Restaurant, wo es am Morgen das japanische wohlschmeckende Frühstück gibt, der kontinentale Frühstücksanteil beschränkt sich auf Toast mit Marmelade, zum Trost gibt es Kaffee. Die Zimmer sauber und sehr geräumig. Das Personal spricht. Ur ein paar Brocken Englisch ist aber dafür sehr hilfsbereit.

スタッフの方がとても親切でした!”
駅のすぐ隣でロケーション申し分なく、音も全く気になりません。そして清潔、お部屋の広さも丁度良かったです。 朝チェックアウトを済ませ、荷物だけ預けて、バスの時間迄少し武家屋敷迄散歩したのですが、ゆっくりし過ぎてバスの時間ぎりぎりになりそうな旨電話すると、スタッフの方が車でわざわざ途中迄探しながら迎えに来て下さいました。まさかそこまでして頂くとは思わずびっくりしましたが、お陰でバスに間に合い本当に心から感謝しております。 ありがとうございました。 他のスタッフの方も皆さん親切でした。 朝ご飯はコロナでビュッフェではないですが、大きなお弁当箱におかずが沢山入っており、そしてご飯はおかわり可能、コーヒー、ジュース、牛乳もあり、お腹いっぱいになりました。 武家屋敷迄歩いても12、3分くらいで徒歩圏内です。 次回桜の時期に又こちらを利用させて頂きたいと思います。

角館のしだれ桜を見るために利用しました。70代の両親を連れて宿泊したのですが、駅や地元のスーパーが近く快適に過ごせてよかったと言っていました。

好立地で好感の持てるホテル”
JＲ角館駅すぐ隣りの好立地、しかも部屋はとても静か。フロントスタッフの方の気遣いが行き届いていてとても好印象のホテルでした。部屋はツインルームのシングルユースだったため、とてもゆったり滞在できました。建物は新しくないと思いますが、室内はリフォームされていて清潔でしたし、使いやすかったです。枕の硬さも選べて、ぐっすり眠れました。ひとつだけ難点を言えば、シャワーのレバーの奥がとても熱くなるので、注意の表示をもっと大きくわかりやすくしていただけるとありがたいです。また角館を旅行する機会があったら利用したいと思います。

角館駅前に位置し、電車でも車でもアクセスが良いです。武家屋敷通りもホテルから歩いて20分程度なのでちょっとした散歩になって良かったです。宿そのものはビジネスホテルで、温泉などの設備は無く、素泊まりの値段としては設備に比べて高めかもしれません。

接客がフレンドリー”
駅のすぐ横にあって、雨が降っていたけどほとんど濡れることはありませんでした。武家屋敷までは少し歩きますが、15分くらいなのでそんな負担にもなりません。近くに酒屋もあり日本酒がたくさんおいてあるので買ってきて部屋で飲めます。大浴場、温泉があればベストですね。
