Surprisingly elegant small hotel”
We spent our last night in Ljubljana at the Hotel Galleria, after several days in a cramped AirBnB nearby, and several more days touring Slovenia. What an elegant room for a modest price! We enjoyed the balcony view up the hill to the castle tower. It's the perfect location to set out for Old Town Ljubljana's restaurants and shops.

Exceptional service”
The hotel is located a short distance into the pedestrian zone in the old town of beautiful Ljubljana and is in an ancient building mostly built hundreds of years ago. There is no lift, but the staff helped me lug my heavy bag up the stairs. The room was large and well equipped. There was a single step up between the hallway, the sitting room and the bedroom. The first-floor windows looked out over a garden. When I asked, the host showed me how to access the hotel's own private garden that rises several stories up the side of the mountain with the castle, a perfect place to smoke. I also asked about laundries, and he said the hotel has its own laundry and would wash my clothes for a fixed charge of 25 Euro per bag. They did, and returned everything folded and sorted in time for checkout the next day!

This hotel is a little gem - right in the heart of the old city of Ljubljana with cafes, restaurants and charming boutique shops on your doorstep; friendly, helpful staff, coupled with the bonus of speaking English. Rooms are well appointed & much appreciated were the drying facilities in the bathroom for hand washing.; and lastly the convenience of the hotel’s taxi driver for airport transfers.

In the heart of Ljubljana”
The hotel lies in the very center of the city, there are everything a tourist need within 10 minutes' walk. I didn't expect a balcony in my room, and a straight view to the Ljubljana castle. Friendly staff, nice service. The equipment might be somehow old-fashioned, still works fine.

Comfortable and central hotel with helpful staff”
Our stay here was fabulous. Centrally located hotel walking distance to everywhere including the main train station. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check in earlier than normal hours, which was greatly appreciated. Room is beautiful - firm bed, spacious room and nice shower. Had an in-room safe, albeit very tiny. Breakfast was great too - the front desk staff Mariana made us a generous serving of bacon and eggs. I would definitely recommend Hotel Galleria to travellers.

Great hotel”
Excellent location but we were allocated the smallest room in the hotel upon arrival, which had no safe, wardrobes or tea making facilities. After speaking with a pleasant male staff member at reception he said he would speak to his manager. After 15 minutes he kept his word and advised that we would be moved to a larger room the next day as the hotel was fully booked on the first day. It was a great Rom with all the facilities we expected. Many thanks to the gentleman involved.Sorry we didn’t take his name. Great hotel,great location lovely breakfast.

The hotel has a very luxurious feel but doesn't charge like one. The lobby has this vintage/Victorian design, and the room even had marble bathroom floors! The room was extremely clean with a nice comfortable bed and fluffy beddings. I would say this hotel gave more than I imagined and would definitely recommend this.

Perfect location”
Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great at recommending places to eat. Room small and could only get into the bed from one side or the bottom end. En suite was a highlight, so clean and well looked after. Room could have benefited from tea/coffee making facilities and use of an iron to enhance comfort. Plus English Breakfast Tea would have been a bonus at breakfast. Location perfect to explore the city.

The hotel is quiet and elegant (with a beautiful, hidden garden behind) and the location in old town in a pedestrian street is perfect! Breakfast is very satisfying with scrambled eggs, bacon and small sausages, croissants, fruits etc. Tip: If you have bad legs or heavy luggage, ask room for the first or second floor, because climbing to the third can be strenuous.

Excellent Stay”
The hotel is located right by all the restaurants and easy walking distance to all the sights. You can even walk to the castle! Only downside is that the hotel doesnt have an elevator, and we were staying on the top floor. But other than that, we were pleasantly surprised when they served us a small bottle of champagne when we indicated we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. There was a decent spread for breakfast and would definitely recommend

Great location, friendly staff, pity no lift”
the plus side is it's in a great location with the city centre pedestrian area starting at the door. the staff are generally friendly and helpful. there are a range of rooms from cheap and cheerful with a toilet down the corridor to suites with a couple of rooms. you gets what you pays for, so check first. it is also very quiet if you are not on the street side. a couple of minuses: there is no lift and some rooms are on the third floor up steep stone stairs - however the staff were happy to carry our luggage. also it is inside the pedestrian area, so the shuttle from the airport has to drop you about 40 metres away. not a great problem, but worth noting if you have heavy luggage or mobility problems, or if it is raining. the breakfast is expensive for what it is. i'd be happy to pay 8 euros, but 15 was steep for a reasonable, but not huge choice. but there are plenty of cafes near by to go to instead.

Moldy and dirty! So disappointed! ”
The location is excellent, but also keep in mind that Ljubljana is small, most of the hotels are in great locations as well. We were looking for Hotel Antiq, which is what I booked under and what my Agoda confirmation said. We arrived and discovered it is now Hotel Galleria. Reception was fine and we then hauled our luggage (no elevator) to our room. All along the way, we could smell very strong cigarette odor. The room had the bare necessities and none of the charm we were expecting. A rug on the floor looked dirty, old and worn. It is in desperate need of an update. The worst though was the bathroom. It was not clean and there was MOLD all along the shower door. Due to the cigarette smoke and the mold in the bathroom, we left. My husband was already reaching for his inhaler and even without that, we simply did not feel that this was a clean, healthy hotel. We were still forced to pay one nights stay, but it was worth it just to not have to stay here. Find somewhere else!

We stayed in a suite in the top floor which looked great at first. However, the little things and the response really frustrated us. When we requested a plug for the bath we were told it was not possible, there were no hangers in the wardrobes, no iron or board, tea/coffee making facilities all of which we had to ask for. All minor in the face of friendly staff, a good location, and a nice space but for the price I would have expected a better standard to begin with

efficient and friendly check in, reception staff helpful at all times. you are made aware there is no lift but staff helped with luggage. breakfast was adequate. room clean and comfortable although we did have to cover one little window that had no curtaining as it is so light early morning. also be aware that there is no reception after 9pm
