Hotel Gjirokastra is one of the most special places I've ever stayed. The staff goes above and beyond constantly - they are not only attentive, but warm and friendly and proud of what they do. The location is ideal with great views all around and within walking distance to everything. I've told all travelers I've met since to put this hotel on their short list for a comfortable, super pleasant stay.

A Terrific Traditional Style Hotel”
Hotel Gjirokastra is an excellent place to stay as you sightsee around the old city. Upon arriving to the city centre we did not know how to find the hotel, so asked a taxi to drive, and we followed. This was 500 leke ($3.75) well spent, as it would have been hard to find without gps. It was quite close, and when we arrived there were many cars parked and even double parked for an event just behind the hotel. However, a kind gentleman from the hotel came out and magically created a parking space for our vehicle, and then proceeded to carry both of our bags to our upgraded room. We had booked three single beds, but were upgraded to a beautiful and spacious room with king size bed, and upstairs loft with two single beds. Our daughter was thrilled to take the loft, and my wife and I were pleased to have our own space below too. While there was no wi-fi in the room as the signal didn't reach that far, the hotel bar/cafe was very close and no problem. Breakfast was great as well, with traditional Albanian petula (kind of like a donut) as part of the spread. Perfectly situated between the 13th century castle above and the cobblestone-lined streets of the bazzar below, this is a great hotel to stay at while visiting Gjirokastra. Enjoy...!

Das Hotel war unsere beste Unterkunft in Südalbanien. Ruhige, trotzdem sehr zentrale Lage. Zimmer mit schönem Ambiant. Tolles, traditionelles und reiches Frühstück. Achtung: am Tag des Anfahrts schickt das Hotel eine Wegbeschreibung, die unbedingt zu folgen ist. Google Maps ist nicht das beste in Albanien, und führt sonnst duch schmalen und steilen Straßen.

最悪でした。先ず、行くのにTAXIでなければ行けません。山の頂上近くです。歩いてはとてもとても！ 只、救えるとしたらこの山全山が旧市街の様相を呈していて、その山の頂近くに居るのですから、後は押して知るべしと云った感じです。
