Great Value, Great Area, Very New and Clean”
We stayed here for 3 nights and were sad to leave. We didn't try the restaurant, the food seemed a little pricey for what was being offered. Not lots of food options around yet were saved one night by eating at the Ninja Cafe. Gora Park is walking distance and nice. Having the Hakone Free Pass makes taking the train and cable cars up the mountain easy. We really wanted to stay in a Ryokan with an onsen but ones in our price range seemed dated. We opted for this lovely new place visit a local onsen, Hakone Yumoto instead. So happy with all the amenities. The staff were very kind at check in and the kitchenette and balcony were both great to have. Some bonuses include great water pressure in shower and Netflix on the t.v. One draw back is even though you have a kitchenette they give you not a cup, glass or bowl or chopsticks. We ate well from local convenience stores and were happy to have a hot water dispenser on tap. We did have to walk up the hill after 7p.

I was blown away by how huge the room was”
I can’t believe how big the room was. My husband loved the bed, he said it was the most comfortable bed ever slept in a 3 star hotel. The bath tub had a special heating system to keep the water warm. The room had a leather sofa, 2 big beds (we slept on one of them because it’s just two of us). Great selection of amenities, lots of bags of coffee and tea in room. The hotel has annex room (tatami style) and terrace room (normal bed w balcony). We stayed in the terrace room, 3rd floor. However we had to drag our luggage up to 3rd floor :(. And then drag it down ourselves. There is no room cleaning service, hence we need to exchange our towels at the reception. We visited the annex, dragging the luggage down and up the slope is not fun. There is no staff available to help with transporting your luggage, so please make sure not to injure yourself!

Great location and huge room”
Actually it was my mistake as I thought nearest station is Gora and we walked all the way from the train station with 2 huge ass luggages up the bumpy slope only to realize we could have taken the cable car as it’s part of our 3 day pass. The transportation system in Hakone is top notch and you can easily roll your luggage from the train to the cable car.

The Stay was ok”
The hotel is abt 5 mins walk from the Hakone Tozan Cable Car stn (3rd Stop fr Gora). Restaurant food not appealing so we went for convenient store which is 10 mins walk. It’s not bad to walk there but the way back is a uphill slope and we weren’t able to take the Cable Car cos no more ride after 8pm. It’s a serviced apartment w water kettle, microwave , fridge and stove. But no cooking pan or other cutleries so we can only cook instant noodles. The room was spacious and the stay was ok. We hoped to keep the luggage there before we came to fetch in the evening but was told they could only keep till 3pm so we had to bring to the lockers at Gora stn. Luckily we only had two small hand luggage’s, so not a big issue. It was raining when we checkout n we asked to borrow an umbrella. She gave us two small ones for free, which was quite nice.

Great location and lovely spacious room”
The location of this hotel is next to the cable car making travel without a car in Japan convenient but far enough that it is quiet. The rooms have lovely modern decor and there is an excellent restaurant next door. There is a small kitchen, seating area with couch, comfortable beds and great bathroom/tub. We were easily able to walk to the Open Air Museum, and could take the cable to the lake easily. The staff is excellent. It is a smaller quiet place.

Exceptional”
Very spacious and sparkling clean room. Value for money for a family of 3. Location - it is 3min walk to a train station which is 2 stops from Gora station. That is convenient but the trains end early so it can be challenging and dark to walk uphill to the hotel.

Wonderful experience in Hakone”
The hotel room is large, facilities are wonderful including the kitchen, bathroom, very quiet and nice place close to the cable car station. I highly recommend this hotel.

Little hideaway”
Quiet place tucked away from the main station in Gora. Everything is nice and new. The lady in front (Takayama?) was pleasant. When staying here, be prepared to go up and down sloping streets after the cable car has closed. Or be prepared to beat the crowd going back in the cable car between 3-4PM. Not with your luggages I hope. Better get a taxi. But overall the hotel was nice. There was a kitchenette and a couch. We had a good time here.

good place quiet area”
Spacious room. The restaurant was nice, which was good as there is no shops or other restaurants around to eat in. The town in dead quiet after 5pm and there is nowhere open to get dinner, so the first night when the hotel restaurant was not open, we ate early at a cafe (which closed at 6pm so be quick!). The Open Air Museum is in easy distance and was the highlight of the area, as well as the Yunessun novelty spa place which was great fun.

The room is very spacious with big sofa, comfy bed, huge window to have nature view, also they provide kimono. Very very satisfied with the room. But if you bring big luggage, you will need effort to bring your luggage go up if your room is in upper floor, no elevator here.

Very good location. Only 10 mins walk to the convenience store and 5 mins to the Gora Park. The room is very clean and new. It looks like a small apartment. The staffs are very helpful and good in English. However, if the last check-in time could be extended to 9:00 instead of 8:00 p.m. would be better.

There is no lift, please travel light when staying at this hotel. Location was good but there vehicle parking only available at Annex. The room is well equipped and even have an small kitchen.

Well designed room without elevator”
There is no elevator in the hotel, so you need to carry the luggage up to the floor by yourself, which is a bit tiring for those who carry large luggage. And there is no clean up service and no renew for the bath kits if you stay for more than two days. The location is pretty nice, the restaurant in the front is quite good, and the room is really well designed and comfortable with enough space.

Nice little apartment”
Nice little apartment with a small kitchen. We ate downstairs the 1st night as there are not a lot of places to eat in Gora. Food was good but a bit expensive, we went to another place the 2nd night. Great place to stay if your on the way to the ropeway and want to drop your bags. Also check out Cho-an-ji with the 500 buddas.

Not good for family vacation”
The reason I book this place is because it's cheaper than other hotels. A decision I totally regret. Not only this place DOES NOT HAVE ELEVATOR, but it was far and secluded from anything! Even no convenience store nearby! The only good thing is just that the room is big and spacious, but that's it. If you want to stay at Hakone, don't be a cheapskate and just choose another hotel other than this even though it could be more expensive.
