Annex Japanese Style Room
Stayed 1 night in October 2022

Average ryokan, unfriendly service”

We stayed in this ryokan for one night and found the service unfriendly. We hadn’t reserved meal at the hotel as we thought to try some of the nearby restaurants. It turned out that all the restaurants nearby were closed on normal Friday evening. As we then hoped to have a dinner at the hotel, they told us everything is booked out and recommended going to a convenience store. There was no flexibility to take us in even though we saw many tables in two different restaurants were already empty at 7 PM when people had finished their meal. The service was very unfriendly. As a non-Japanese speaker we would have appreciated if the hotel had told us when making the reservation that meal options nearby are non-existant. Also, the room in the Annex was old and a smoking room which we hadn’t known and would not have taken if we had known. The onsen is ok but otherwise I would not recommend staying here.
