Highly recommended!”

We stayed for 3 nights. Everything was fine: room was spacious and cosy with king sized bed and little extras like USB charger, one European plug socket, hairdryer and sweets in the fridge. Breakfast was really awesome with lots of fresh food and delicious treats to order. As the Indigo is located on Princes Street nearby the railway station you get access to both the old and new toon and to Carlton Hill within 10 min by feet. One thing to criticize? On a saturday night we had to wait about 45 min (!) for our drinks on the crowdy hotel bar. But in the meantime we could watch the middle aged party people and hens. Animal prints (leopard) seems to be high in fashion this season! ;-) Explore Edinburgh, stay at the Indigo!

Great location, pleasant and comfortable.”

Location, a quick walk form Edinbrough stations, whcih is where the coach from the airport stops. Friendly helpful staff.

i was very pleased with the quietness of the room, at the back of the hotel, as there are a lot of road works in front of the hotel currently. these are pretty long term as the are putting a tram line in on princes street, which is the 'high street' of edinburgh. the room was comfortable and quite spacious. my only complaint was that the shower was not working properly - it was either scalding hot or freezing cold - i asked for it to be fixed but got no action - instead of insisting on moving rooms i took baths instead. i would recommend this hotel. i had breakfast there once - it was okay and reasonably priced, can't say the food was great but the dining room is lovely with a great view of edinburgh.

perfect location, nice staff, excelent room (except the bathroom)
bathroom is too small, the water temprature is unstable

the hotel is located just in front of the main railway station, so it suit perfectly to our trip - arriving at Edinburgh late evening, browsing the city for a day, leaving late afternoon. The room was huge, furnished nicely, looking on the main street. Breakfest was rich and tasty. We had our laguge stored for the next day.

The location, very helpful staff and a very nice bar

We spent two nights at the hotel. Ours was a relatively new room, the design of which was somewhat bizarre and the shower was far two sensitive to operate. That apart the location opposite the station on Princes Street was perfect and worth pounds in saved transportation costs!

Spacious rooms, good food and drink and reasonably priced. opposite the train station. Very friendly staff.
there was scaffolding all over the front of the hotel

The hotel is right opposite Waverley train station, with bus stops right outside as well. The food and drink was very good and reasonably priced in the hotel. There is a nice view of the castle from the bar area and from some of the rooms. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The hotel is on the same street as all the shops and only a short walk from the Royal Mile which is well known for the abundance of bars.

Perfect and very British contemporary interior design in a historic building. The most central location has its backside. Windows of my room looked at the central and busiest Princes street. Noise from public transpost, taxis and utilities vehicles continued all aday and night along. If you get used to earplugs, then you'll be fine.

Royal British Hotel”

The hotel is located about 2 minute walk from the airlink bus stop so the location is very convenient for both sightseeing and shopping. The rooms are quite old but clean enough. The breakfast is served after 7:30 so if you have an early flight, you'll need to get a continental breakfast in your room rather than the traditional Scottish or British breakfast.
The internet was free (Wireless) but it cut several times and I needed to re-log in for the VPN many times.

Basically, I can recommend this hotel if you want to stay on Prices Street and relax. I'll definitely return to this hotel on my next visit and ensure I don't miss the traditional Scottish breakfast.

Hotel is nice.”

Location is very near the train station, shopping malls and outlets, restaurants.

Staff is nice. Rooms are okay especially when you're at the 1st level of the building. Rooms located on the 3rd level has limited access as lifts can only go up to the 2nd level and you will have to take narrow width stairs to get to the 3rd level, would be difficult for customers with lots of luggage. Hotel location is very good, right in the center of Edinburgh.
