Great experience”
In a nutshell, great place at a good price for families. The staff were very hospitable to our kids, and our kids got a kid friendly breakfast. One of my daughters said the egg omelet was a bit sweet for her. The breakfast was filling. The location was great between the Aka Renga and the Kannai station. We'll be back!

Hip city hotel of yesteryears”
We arrived late and stayed overnight in transit, so the reasonable price and accessible location were the reasons to pick this hotel. As we assumed, the hotel was rather dated—worn furniture in the lobby as well as the guest room—but the hotel served our purpose alright.

Worst Hotel experience in years”
I requested a non-smoking room weeks in advanced and was given a smoking room. I can see now you can only book smoking or non-smoking by name but this option didn't exist two weeks ago. I was told I could not cancel, could not get any refund or credit. Nonsense, booked another hotel around the corner so I didn't have an asthma attack in my sleep. Other than stinking, the hotel room was fairly typical. I am sure this would have been fine if I wasn't forced into a tobacco soaked room. Thanks for nothing, I won't be staying at JAL ever again and will be double-checking for future rooms.

Everything is good except for the gown(not good smell) and there are no available gowns for kids. It is also a basic standard to have a bottled water in every room. (First time to experience no available water in my room.)

Well located Japanese Hotel & marvelous breakfast”
I was participating in a conference being held at "Jack" the Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall. The JAL City Kannai was located in easy walking distance to "Jack", the subway and Chinatown. I could also easily walk to the other main visitor sites (red Brick Building, port, Tower, etc.) from the hotel. The breakfast was fabulous with a variety from western breakfast to Japanese items! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, but it would have been helpful if anyone at the desk was fluent in English. I wish I could be fluent in a language other than English, and admire people who can, but there were some critical items of business that needed to be transacted and they were difficult and time consuming. The rooms were large for Japanese standards, but a little cramped for those used to US rooms. However, the bathroom was large and well equipped and the rooms were very clean! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to be in this section of Yokohama!

One of the best Business hotels that I stayed”
I booked a twin room with breakfast, a typical hotel buffet style breakfast with Western and Japanese items. Surprisingly there are several kinds of fresh fruit juices. Since not many coffee shops nearby, recommend to book room with breakfast and have a good morning for yourself. The room is very neat and tidy, there is even a small L-shape sofa and a small tea table that you can have little food there. Another point also amazed me is there is a multi-plug charger at the bed table that whether you use Iphone, Android you can charge your device right away. Sockets are plenty in the room too - one at the door entrance, one in toilet, and one on the work desk. There are also iron board and moisturizer machine in the room. The hotel is not near Yokohama city centre, but located in between China Town and you can just walk down there so it's good. Taking subway to Yokohama centre is just 10mins and the subway is near to the hotel. After all, it is a great stay at Hotel JAL City Kannai Yokohama.

Awesome Experience with JAL City Kannai Yokohama Hotel”
The hotel is very close to Nihon-Odori Station, which you can access easily from Yokohama Station through Minatomiari Line. The hotel is easily found, even for first-time guest like me. I like the hotel so much. The hotel building looked nice and elegant. It was quite, clean, and comfortable. Check-in was easy, the staffs were nice. For the room, I booked twin moderate room. It was quite big for Japan-size hotel in common. The facilities in the room were well provided; they even provided face soap. There was only one thing I regretted; I asked for more coffee because I like to drink coffee, but they said they could not give more. I had experience staying in other business hotel, they were willing to give more, and even repeated it everyday since then. However, it was not a big problem. My overall experience staying in JAL City Yokohama hotel was great, and I will certainly stay in this hotel again when I go to Yokohama :)

Excellent hotel and good location”
Excellent 2 nights spent at Hotel JAL City Kannai Yokohama. The check-in process was flawless even though it was almost midnight by the time we arrived and staff was efficient, friendly and spoke good English. Our rooms were spotless and well maintained. Bathroom amenities were of a high quality. Room size was average for Japan. Firm beds with comfortable pillows and room had individual air conditioning. The benefit is it's close proximity to the train and within a short walking distance to Chinatown and Osanbashi Pier. Breakfast buffet was good and had a variety of western and eastern dishes. Overall an excellent hotel and would definitely be staying there again on our next trip to Yokohama.

Comfortable and peaceful sojourn”
It was a comfortable and peaceful stay at the JAL City Hotel in Yokohama. After a day's roundabout doing the tour of the city from Yokohama to Tokyo, the hotel room provided me with a peaceful, clean and quite abode to work in and continue my work in the evening. All in all, it was a good and very satisfying stay at both JAL CIty Yokohama and Haneda. I would be more than happy to book this hotel again when I come back to Japan.

Preparing for cruise”
The Hotel JAL City is in a great location. For anyone interested in exploring Yokohama before a cruise from this city, the port is very close. Yokohama Chinatown, the largest In Japan, is a few blocks away. And 'Motomachi' shopping area is not far beyond that. The JAL Hotel is probably 3-star rated, but I would not hesitate in returning to it. The staff very pleasant, but like much of Japan, English is limited. But the Japanese people Are delightful and receive a full 5-star review for politeness. Our room could have been a bit larger, but twin double beds very comfortable. A mini Refrigerator included and a room safe also.

snazzy smart upmarket business hotel”
great stay. the hotel was hard to find (but I had forgotten to print a map - essential as Japanese addresses are notoriously hard to locate so that was really my fault. it is 7 minutes from JR kannai station - straight across the park and round the corner from the fire station. close to yokohama subway stn. staff in nearby Lawson station helped!. smart small reception area, quick efficient check in with good English used. posh corridors and lift, well appointed room - larger that I expected with good view of city. efficient a/c, tea and coffee making and fridge. fair size bath in clean bathroom. no English tv channels though. only two minutes walk to Chinatown for restaurants, bars, shopping etc(left then left) I checked out around 8am and, due to the weather, they kept my luggage until 5pm. highly recommended
